Very disappointed with meal! Had fish cakes which werepure bread! For mains had lamb which tasted like a pork chop and was as chewy! No nice pink delicate meat here BUT main issue was the champ which tasted like smash! Come on Courtyard surely u have the best of spuds on your doorstep! Staff very nice!

As I find myself in Ferns most weeks, twice a week I know this spot very well and had never bothered to review. Well the pub is pleasant, the people are nice and everything on the menu is decent or better. But the Chowder is historic. Piping hot mini tureens of mussels and salmon and crab and cod in a creamy liquor with spuds and al dente celery. Served with really excellent brown bread it is more than enough for a good lunch,

My wife and I had a meal at your premises on Saturday evening last. The starter of fish bake for myself and my wife's main course of sea bass was excellent, however i was disappointed with my 10oz striploin, as it was cold and a little tough. We also thought that the atmosphere would have benefited a bit from background music, & maybe some candlelight. Ovrerall the service was excellent and friendly and we would come back, but next time we will try the bar.

We've been in the Courtyard many times and we have always had a very good experience. The menu has great variety, is excellent value and the quality of the food is excellent. No matter how busy they are, the service is great and the staff are always so friendly. Sometimes myself and my wife drop in when we are passing, or sometimes we book for family occasions, such as birthdays, etc, and no matter what the occasion, we have always been pleased with our meal. We will continue to go to the Courtyard in the future as it is our number one choice in the Gorey/Ferns/Enniscorthy area.

Love treating ourselves to a meal in The Courtyard, Ferns. We brought a couple of Canadian friends there and they loved it too, they were looking forward to going again when they re-visited and it didn't let them down. You will not be left standing around looking for a seat as the staff will get you a table pretty sharpish, I particularly like the dining area upstairs it's very comfy. Good service, good atmosphere and good value.

My husband and I were passing through Ferns last Tuesday , Valentines Day and decided to call into the Court yard for lunch. We had heard a lot of good reports from various different people. The place was buzzing at 1.30 and we were immediately seen to our table by a very efficient and pleasant waiter. There was a full menu on offer and four specials at 9.95 ea. I had the braised beef with onions, melt in your mouth , and this was accompanied by 3 big scoops of mashed potatoes and a lovely selection of mixed vegetables. My husband had the plaice and it was equally delicious. Great value for money and real home cooked food. There is a great family atmosphere in this eatery and the staff are efficient and very friendly. We finished off our meal with piping hot coffee and were very happy with our experience in the CourtYard. Dont go through Ferns without calling in here , you wont be disappointed. Well done all!

I went to The Courtyard on Sunday with two others. Being a bank holiday Sunday I wasn't sure what to expect but it was lovely. We ordered 2 soups, 1 half portion of beef dinner, 1 half portion of lamb dinner and 1 full beef dinner. The soup arrived and a big basket of fresh rolls and brown bread. I wasn't having soup but I tasted it and it was delicious. The dinners arrived with enough time in between to let the soup go down. Again, delicious. Beef, mashed spuds, gravy, croquette and a selction of vegetables including sprouts, green beans, veg and sweetcorn. We had 1 tea and 1 portion of ice cream as we were just too full to sample the wide option dessert menu. Everything came to under € 40. What I really enjoyed was the atmosphere. There was a football match on on 2 televisions and it didn't interrupt our conversation at all. Also as there is table service we weren't queing for food etc.

We recently had a family function at The Courtyard and I would like to say the staff and catering were fantastic. They catered for 100 people to a very good quality. The staff pre event and on the day were great. We called in 2 days later and had lunch in the front bar and again the food was lovely. The food is good quality, the vegetables were crisp and fresh (not mush!) - reminded me what food used to taste like before supermarkets!!

I know this is basic pub grub but you can't get more basic than this!!! Unless you go to Lidl. Bad food cooked badly and waiting staff who look so bored with it all!
