6a Sandymount Green, Sandymount, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 4
Reviewed 01st February 2010 ( visited 19th December 2009 )I loved itsabagel so was excited about trying this place. The decor is lovely, its cosy and perfect for a weekend brunch. I had eggs benedict, its was lovely. My partner had an irish breakfast, he was happy enough but didnt think it was anything to write home about. Coffee was lovely. Staff were very friendly but a little slow, perhaps due to the busy day that was in it.
Michie Sushi (Ranelagh)
11 Chelmsford Lane, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin
Went for lunch with a couple of friends and we were all very happy with the overall experience. Definitly best choice of sushi in Dublin that I know of. I will definitly come back here again and I am looking forward to getting takeaway.
12 West Pier, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin
Went here for lunch and a glass of wine. Had the seafood platter. It was delicious. Best calamarie Ive ever had! Was a sunny day, so was lovely to sit outside while eating. Staff were very nice.
The Box Tree
Stepaside Village, South Dublin, Stepaside, Dublin
Went here as a large group for a christening and ordered from early bird menu . Staff were great. Food was really good. Great presentation. Very tasty. Only complaint is my salmon main course was a bit dry, bit more sauce would have been good.
harbor bar and grill
dun laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
Went here for lunch and got calamarie which was good. Chips were ok. Staff got order wrong. Chairs werent very comfortable and table was sticky like it hadnt been cleaned.
232 Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin
Just went here for coffee and scone with friend and found it reasonable. Really nice coffee. Scone was good but nicer if it was warmer. Staff very friendly. Would like to try more of their food!
The Port House Ibericos
5/6 Pembroke Cottage, Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin
Love this place. Food and wine is so good. Only complaint is that it is always so so busy and there is not an area for people who are waiting to wait but have to stand in everyones way...
Purple Ocean Restaurant
St Michael's Pier, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
Ate here after buying a grabone deal, which I will not do again... The menu was too limited and neither me nor my boyfriend were too pushed on anything on the menu. The staff were not willing to allow us to choose something from the regular menu and just pay a supplement, as we had done in other restaurants. The regular menu seemed really nice but unfortunately I dont think we will be going back to try it.
Johnnie Fox's Pub
Glencullen, Dublin Mountains, Glencullen, Dublin
Great pub for drinks but wasnt hugely impressed with the food. Our main course arrived when we were still eating our starters and we were told that because they were busy it was either take them now or wait 40 minutes, we had to ask a couple of times anytime we wanted something like butter for our bread etc. Pints were good though!
Restaurant 58 at Ballygarry House
Leebrook, Tralee, Tralee, Kerry
Went here for dinner last week and the food was amazing. Had the goats cheese starter which was very impressive and salmon for main which was so tasty. No complaints.

Love this place. Everything about it is amazing- food, wine, service. Cant wait to go back.
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Lovely restaurant. The menu has an amazing selection of fish dishes. Tables are a little cramped ontop of each other. But apart from that I was very pleased and will go back.
Oliveto Restaurant & Bar
Oliveto At The Haddington, 9-12 Haddington Terrace, Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
Great food and at a good price, staff are very friendly, will go back here again and again
The Stillorgan Orchard

Great place to go before the cinema, they do a good movie deal where you get your dinner a drink and cinema ticket...had the crab pot, yum yum!
Eddie Rockets (Stillorgan)
Stillorgan Shopping Centre, Stillorgan, Stillorgan, Dublin
Very impressed with the new menu, theres something there to please everyone and you no longer have to spend a fortune to be fed here...
63/65 Main Street, Blackrock, Blackrock, Dublin
Went here for early bird dinner, fish cakes to start were lovely, and I got cod and risotto for main course. The cod was melt in the mouth but the risotto was under cooked. Atmosphere and decor lovely. Lights kept flickering which was quite irritating!
Harrys Cafe Bar
21 Upper George's Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
Lovely good, very reasonable, tiny bit uncomfortable but great apart from that.
Vettriano Restaurant @ The Hillgrove Hotel
Old Armagh Road, Monaghan, Monaghan Town, Monaghan
Hotel is lovely. Staff lovely. But we were disapointed with the meal we had here, wasnt too exciting. Dinner was part of our hotel stay package so didnt cost us a lot but thats no excuse. A LOT of hen partys that weekend so noisy meal!!!
The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin
Great place, so much to choose from. You can pick exactly what you want on your burger. Best burger place ive been to.
120 Ranelagh Road, Ranelagh, Dublin
I went here for brunch, the food was very very good. While it was a bit pricey, it was worth it. Lovely little place. cant wait to try the dinner out!
43 South William Street, South William Street, Dublin
Lovely little spot to sit ouside and watch the world go by. Had lunch, it was ok, nothing spectacular. Coffee was good though.
10 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Tuesday evening, long day at work - friend and I attempted to go for a couple of glasses of wine and share a few starters as we were not hugely hungry but wanted to sit somewhere nice and relaxing. But we were told we had to sit at the bar if we were not going to order full meals from the a la carte menu. This is crazy service considering the place was pretty much empty and you would imagine they would have been delighted to make 50 quid. Wont be going back here after that service which is disappointing as I had previosuly quite liked this place.
Toscana (Dun Laoghaire)
5 Windsor Terrace, South Co. Dublin , Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
I was enticed to go here by to the menupages offer of a free bottle of wine with menupoints. I was very impressed. The free wine was lovely. The bill worked out very cheap. The food was lovely. The staff were lovely. The atmosphere lovely... no complaints, I will definitly go back.

Love this place. Prawns are amazing. Food is great value. Great outdoor seating/smoking area.
L'Officina by Dunne And Crescenzi (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin
Overall we were happy with this place. Staff are great, most of them seemed very friendly. Menu didnt have a huge selection to choose from, seemed to be very little veggie options. Platters are great for sharing.
Pavillion Centre, Royal Marine Road, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
I wont eat here again. The food was disappointing. Its a nice place to go for drinks but the food is nothing special.
The Purty Kitchen (Dun Laoghaire)
3-5 Old Dun Laoghaire Road, Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
Seafood is amazing. But they could do with decorating the place!
Yo Thai (Mount Merrion)
Kielys Of Mount Merrion, Deerpark Road, South Co. Dublin, Mount Merrion, Dublin
Always get takeaway from here. I LOVE the sushi. Its great value. Only downside is they dont deliver, but if you order for collection its usually ready within 20min. I have eaten here before, the place was very quiet but the staff were very accomodating and as usual food lovely.
Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Love this place. I always order the Yaki Soba, its just so good. I signed up to their mailing list and they often send me offers such as 2for1 meals which is great.
The Steps Of Rome
1 Bird avenue, Clonskeagh, Clonskeagh, Dublin
Love this place. Food is yummy, staff friendly. Great value for money. I especially love the way you can order a slice of pizza (or more!), that way you can try out a few types rather than just one. Very handy for lunch or dinner. Only fault is that it is very small and you can often be unlucky when its full!!
Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Temple Bar)
Unit 1, Temple Bar Square, Dublin 2 , Temple Bar, Dublin
Dont go here if you are in a rush!! I was starving when I went here for lunch, but was left waiting for food for ages, perhaps they were under staffed on the day. Food was nice in the end but wont be going back due to the experience.
Queen of Tarts (Temple Bar)
3 - 4 Cow's Lane, Temple Bar, Dublin
Met a friend for coffee here and we had to wait for a table as the place was so busy and is very small! But it was worth the wait. Coffee was good...muffins are AMAZING, yum!
The Roseville Rooms @ Faithlegg House Hotel & Golf Club
Faithlegg, Waterford City, Waterford
We had dinner here as part of a package deal along with our stay at the hotel. I cannot fault the meal. The food was lovely. Although the menu was a little limited, with just one option of main course for the vegetearians! The staff were great, very efficient and friendly. I would highly recomend eating here.
Shanai Indian Cuisine
Old Bray Road, South Dublin, Cabinteely, Dublin
I ate here with a friend recently. While the food was nice, the place was very quiet due to the recession no doubt and the staff would have done with a cheering up! Wine wasnt great. Not sure I will be going back.
6a Sandymount Green, Sandymount, Dublin
I loved itsabagel so was excited about trying this place.
Itsa @ Dun Laoghaire (Bagel Store)
The Pavilion, Royal Marine Road, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
Love the bagels, especially the veggie ones. Coffee is delicious and smoothiess good but a bit expensive. During the week they do a 6euro bagel and coffee deal which is great value, but it would be even better if this applied to weekends too! Staff are a little slow or perhaps there are not enough of them. You can buy bags of bagels too.
McCabes Wines, The Gables, 1 Torquay Road, Dublin 18 , Foxrock, Dublin
As regulars for brunch we decided to go for tapas and wine. Got a deal where there was no corkage on the wine bought in their adjoining shop as we were there early. Tapas was nice, portions bit on the small side compared to other tapas places I have been to. Cheap and tasty night.
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Went here for girls night out, 10 of us. We were waiting 20 min for our table which was booked, because it was so busy. This wasnt a great start! We had cocktails while we waited which were lovely but at 10euro for a relatively small glass they were a bit pricey- perhaps they should have been offered as half price for the delay with our table! The tables we were sitting at (long benches) were a bit akward to get into our seats. Apart from that, the food was AMAZING. Little pricey, but YUMMMMMMMMMM
Gong Chinese Restaurant
8 Lower Kilmacud Road, South Dublin, Stillorgan, Dublin
I have ordered takeaway from here a few times. It is the only Chinese that I like. The food is good quality and not filled with MSN like a lot of Chinese food would be. Prawns are yum!
Blue Orchid Blackrock
Newpark Centre, Newtown Park Avenue, South Co. Dublin, Blackrock, Dublin
Never had a bad meal here, and go regularly and also get takeaway from here quite often. Delivery cost of 2.50 is a bit much seen as I live 5 min away but the food is reasonably priced. Love the pad thai.
52 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Great for dinner or just nipping in for a quick coffee and cake. Food is 'real' italian! Will go back again and again.
