Does good food excuse poor service? When we sat down we ordered a round of drinks 2 of which came incorrect. The food was great. The crab cakes were to die for and the presentation was great. There was a varity of main dishes ordered. The steak was cooked how it had been requested and was melt in the mouth. Fish was enjoyed too. Dessert was very well presented and tasty. Services very disappointing for the cost of the bill.

Scotts Bar & Restaurant
116 Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork City, Cork

The food here is really good chicken wings are to die for and the fish and chips are really good - good portion size and served with real homemade chips an salad. price wise it is ok maybe boarding on the pricey side - but the early bird is good value and it is in the city

Panda Mama

the food here is only ok nothing too impressive. The staff are not at all helpful or friendly and there is no atmosphere. I find this resturant quite expensive.

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

It has to be said this is the best early bird in Dublin. The choice is great and the food is fabulous. 6 of us dinned and the quality quantity and taste of the food was great. We where all happy. Smoked salmon for start was really well presented and the stuffed mushroom amazing. I had the fish and chips the batter was really light. i could not eat the full portion. Staff really friendly and helpful. we where celebrating 3 birthdays so they wrote in choclate on the desert plat all 3 names and sang Happy birthday. Cant wait to go back and would highly recommend.

Il Corvo Restaurant
98-100 Upper Drumcondra Road, Dublin 9 , Drumcondra, Dublin

Lunch menu is great. Great choice, great food, good service. 4 of us went for a work lunch. Salmon starter was lovely and presented really well and the pate was also good. Little diaspointed with the Chicken wings. Risitto for main was really good and pizza was really good generous toppings thin base - fab. 2 course €13.95 really nice and well priced. Staff friendly would go back

Indie Spice Grill
Burgundy House, New Street, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

Great food, great service. One of the best indan resturants around. I had the mixed starter and it was lovely. The prawn was just devine. I stuck with my old favourite Chicken korma and it was delicious. My only nagative thing to say was that the Nann was a little over cooked. Staff where very nice and the complimentary drink after the meal is a great touch. Will be back - the early bird looks like great value

Diep le Shaker
55 Pembroke Lane, (Off Pembroke Street), Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

A large group of us eat here. I was a little disappointed with the food. It was pretty average nothing special. I would however go back for the cocktails - they where fab. Service was top class. Overall great night but not to many of us came away talking about how good the food was.

Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Thursday night and not a seat to be got in Mastersons! I booked - thank god. Initally we sat at the bar to wait for our table we ordered a drink but we had our table befor our drinks! One bar man not enough! But it was worth the wait as the Masterson's cosmo was fab. The Early bird is great value €14 for 2 courses and for 3 - where would you get it? The food was great. I had Buff.Chick wings and my husband had Stuffed mushrooms both delicious and good portions. For main Steak served on a bed of mash and topped up mushrooms and onions and a side of home fries. Chicken in a white wine cream mushroom sauce served with side salad. Everything was yummy. We got one choclate pudding for desert which tasted like more! €48 in total with 2 cocktails and 2 pints great food great value. Will be looking forward to going back.

Green 19
19 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

The best meal i have had in town in a long time. 6 of us had dinner booked for 7 o'clock. Value for money ten out of ten could not believe how reasonable the bill was considering the number of cocktails we had! Spanish Cobbler is a must. Food wise, Ceaser Salad, Mushroom (to die for), Soup and Pinchos (oh my god what a great idea and good way of getting different tastes). I went for the fish and chips (very enjoyable) Everyone was delighted with the taste and presentation of their meals. Deserts top class home made ice cream (fab) Great place cant wait to go back.

Pizza Hut (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown, West Dublin, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

We stopped in for lunch during a recent shopping trip. The pissz was very good BBQ chicken with stuffed crust. Very good. It is great that they do free refills with the soft drinks. Childrens menu is good. The resturant it self was filthy and i personally think it could do with a re-vamp. The girl who served us was very nice. A little bit on the expensive side for what it is but nice for a change.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Swords)
Pavillion Shopping Centre, Malahide Road, Swords, Dublin

A welcome eatery to the pavillions. The burgers a fab really tasty great choice of burgars on the menu. Service is very hit and miss. We have eaten here 3 times and each time service seemed all over the place. People coming in from street level and people coming in from Pavillion and staff cant seem to manage this at all. Chips or alright could be better.

profile_review

The Goblet
Malahide Road, Artane, Dublin

Great and reasonable pub grup. I think the inside of the pub could do with little re-vamp furniture is a little gruppy. Carvery had good options and evening menu is good value and most important food is great.

New Millennium Chinese Restaurant

A group of us went for dinner and it was average. Service was awful and food not much better at all. Not good for the money we spent - I will not go back ever.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

We went for an ealry dinner before heading for the olimpia. When we arrived the host was a little abrupt in advising us we only had the table for an hour and a half. When we where leaving there was pleanty of empty tables! Service was efficent but by no means friendly. I had an Irish Angle to drink - a must it was fab. Startes: Mushrooms nothing special chicken wings nice but pretty average on most places chicken wings. Mains Chicken Fajita where very nice but there was a lack of chicken under all the veg on the plate. My husband had Rib eye and was pretty much licking the plate very tasty indeed. We did not opt for sweet as we where under strick instructions to be away from the table as soon as. I overall enjoyed the food and would go back but I do think that the staff could be a lot more friendly.

Jaipur Restaurant (Malahide)
5 St James's Terrace, Dublin 15, Malahide, Dublin

We went for the early bird with a bottle of house white, €56 in total, what great value. The house wine really complimented the food. The mixed started was a real treat we got 1 veg and 1 meat had everything was lovely the potato cake was delicious. We both got Korma one lamb and one chicken. Both lovery and the Nann bread is to die for. Really enjoyed this and will be back. (My one negative is that the resturant is extreamly dark and i had difficulty seeing the menu.)

The Harbour Master Restaurant & Bar
Custom House Dock, I.F.S.C Dublin 1, IFSC, Dublin

We had a working lunch here. I was very suprised to see how busy it was. But after eating i was not suprised all 4 of us had different starts and main courses. Each one of us was very happy. Will be going back some evening to try it again but would recommend on the back of this visit.

We had Malaysian Chicken and Udon Noodel both so tasty, the noodles had plenty of vegetables just yummy. We orderd Choclate pudding with butterscotch with 2 spoons! OH MY GOD is was just fab. Andersons Foodhall & Café
3 The Rise, Glasnevin, Glasnevin, Dublin

Best place for lunch in Dublin. I love this place. Selection on the menu is great. Sandwiches and Panni are always truly tasty. I love the home baked ham and turkey. The choice of cheese is brilliant. The mango dressing is to die for - thank god they bottle it and sell it. highly recommend this place for lunch.

Ivans Oyster Bar & Grill
17 - 18 West Pier, Howth, Dublin

If you like seafood and good service ivans is a must. Service was very good, food crab cakes to start where nice, Ivans fish and chips with mushey peas was very tasty. Everyone else at the table was very happy with the meal. If you are not a seafood fan there is not much choice on the menu. The mussels for starter was a big starter. Really enjoyed our night here a little on the expensive side but I suppose that is what one gets for dinning in Howth. Desserts were a little disapointing except for the mango sorbet that was delicious but the cheese board was very good.

The Old Schoolhouse (Dublin)
Coolbanagher Church Road, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

We ate here on Friday evening in the bar. The bar menu had very good choices. The garlic bread was a meal in its self and was served with a big side salad. Chicken wings had a little kick to them. The Fish of the day was a cooked a little to long and was very dry. The first waitress that served us was not at all helpful and when we pointed out that the bread (served with Soup) was stale she told us there was no more bread - not good. Our second waitress was very nice and the Atmosphere was good. Will be back looking forward to trying the restaurant. Would recommend the bar food.

profile_review

Currans Restaurant
Adelaide Street, Cork City, Cork

I really enjoyed the food here the steak was great and the veg and salad was really fresh and tasy. Would also recommend the currans coctail very tasty indeed. Only negative staff came accross a little abrupt.

The Market Bar
Fade Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I have to say that eating at the market bar was a great experience. The atmosphere was great. The food was great, great selection and portion sizes where great. Everything was truly delicious and the value for money is second to none. The girl who served our table was so helpful which added to the experience. Will be going back for both the food, service and value.

profile_review

Deep
12 West Pier, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

I really enjoyed the food at this resturant. The waitress who took our order was very helpful and offered anything on the menu in a childs portion as the kids burger was finished for the day. The white wine was chilled to perfection. The chicken wings were tasty and the portion size was large. I had the calzone for my main cousre and it was fab and the side salad was a good complement to it. On the negative side we had to ask was our second course on the way as quite some time had passed from when they lifted our starter. Some of the startes were a bit on the expensive side for the size of the portions. Atmosphere was not great but we were there early eveing and things were begining to pick up as we were leaving, looking forward to trying it again as the food was really tasty.

profile_review

ZAO Thai Restaurant
96B Omni Park Shopping Centre, Swords road , North Dublin, Santry, Dublin

We went here on a Wednesday night for the early bird we were the only ones in the restaurant so could not really judge the atmosphere. The food was good but not as great as I was expecting from reading the reviews on menu pages. The rice was great. Starters where good but I did not feel like it was great value. Mixed feelings about this place but will try again.

profile_review

Peacocks Bar
Rivervalley Shopping Centre, Swords, Dublin

We went for the early bird. The choice on the menu is great. Garlic Mushrooms and Chicken goujons for started both came really well presented and were both very tasty. We both got steak for our mains which was cooked exactly the way we both requested side of chips and veg. The veg was very tasty. Desserts were very good - fresh fruit pav and strawberry cheescake yum yum yum. Really enjoyed will be back again, where would you get 3 course meal of this quality for under €19

McGowans of Phibsboro
Phibsboro, Phibsboro, Dublin

Firstly McGowans have done a great job on changing the front bar into the eating area. The decor is really lovely. The menu is great; plenty of choice and the prices are great. 5 of us dined, Meatballs for starters where truly the best I have ever tasted. Stuffed mushroom where really good. Presentation of the food was lovely. All of our main courses where truly delicious. Can’t wait to go back.

Chilli Shaker Indian Restaurant
River Mall, 32-36 Main Street, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

Mixed started very well presented and the meat was extreamly tasty. All the main's where lovely and the Nann bread was just perfect. All 4 of us really enjoyed the meal and will most certainly be going back Starters, mains, rice , nann, 1 red and 1 white €35 each including a tip great value and great food. Would recommend to all.

Gojinka
Brackenstown Shopping Centre, Swords, Dublin

We have gotten take out from here 3 times and everything has been lovely. The smoked shredded chicken is really good. Skinny noodles in the chow mein (no extra cost) free prawn crackers with delivery. Great. Pork dish was really tasty and pork was perfect. Really looking forward to eating in as the chef cooks in front of the customers.

Pink Elephant
Mains Court, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

I have eaten here on many occasions. The food is always great. The noodle dishes are full of flavour and plenty of vegetables. The startes are always great would recommend the mixed starter a little taste of 5 starters from the menu. Fab. Rice is always cooked perfect. Great value. My only problem with the Pink Elephant is that the staff do not have good English and on the rare occasion that there is a problem with your food it is easier to dismiss it than try to explain and get somewhere with the staff. Never offer a complimentary drink which is also disappointing.

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We called in after the theatre on a Friday evening. We just wanted to sit at the bar have a few cocktails and a selection of appetisers. The girl who greeted us at the door was rude and not at all helpful. Cocktails are just great and there is a great selection. The appetisers were all lovely JD chicken and the shrimp was fab we all loved it. In my opinion this resturant is a little over priced for food and service is not great.

New Hin Keng
25G Malahide Road, Artane, Artane, Dublin

I have been here a few times and always find the food to be great. I was a little disappointed on my last visit. The starters were greasy. We recieved very little rice with our mains. Our mains were good. The services was truly disapointing; we had to ask 3 or 4 times before we got drinks. I think it has gone downhill a little and I also think it needs a revamp.

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Just the two of us out for a change but it felt like we were dining with a group of people as the tables were very much on top of each other. Food was just great. Chicken skewers and meat balls to start. Meat balls were very tasty. Steak and Chicken for mains both had great flavour and the portions were great. Services was very frinedly and helpful. Will most definitely be back.

Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

The food here is really great. It was the first meal out that i really enjoyed in a long time. I had the butter bean dip served with a warmed pitta and carrot it was very tasty. My mum had the lamb which was so nice I wished I had ordered it. My Chicken was very good to but portion size could have been a little better. Great selection of desserts. We shared fresh fruit pavalova and it was very good.

Yamamori Noodles

Stoop Your Head
Harbour Road, Skerries, Skerries, Dublin

Great food. Just not the most comfortable of chairs and tables. Food is truly great. I have eaten here a few times and never been disappointed. Pate served with garlic bread: great idea, I love it. Fish is always great. The steak and pasta dishes are truly scummy. Hats off the chef and the staff it is a great dining experience.
