Love it, its my all-rounder - great for lunch, dinner and sunday brunch. Chicken wings goes without saying and the meatloaf was really yum. Had the omlette on a previous visit which was really great. Possibly seems pricey for fairly basic staples but they've always got a really nice twist. Great for dinner with the girls!

Large group from work intended eating here, reservation made over 2 weeks in advance and confirmed the day before we were to eat here - and yet when we turned up they didn't have our reservation and the waitress/maitre D gave us attitude as if we didn't have a booking in the 1st place. Talked about having people there with kids and how they wouldn't be staying long - so they'd eventually have a table for us - but without apology. Won't be returning.

Sean Mac D's
69 Harolds Cross Road, Harolds Cross, Dublin

I have been to Sean Mac D's a few times and was delighted to have a bar in the area trying something new and making efforts to attract a different clientele. The food was always great so no complaints on that score. Unfortunately my experience last night was quite unbelievable. By the time I had walked the length of the bar, on entering, I was met by a waitress with a receipt in hand asking if I had forgot something the last time I was in, I could see that she was insinuating that I'd forgot to pay my bill and was confident that I'd always settled my bill on previous occasions. When I told her she was mistaken she informed me that she was sure it was me and the type of wine I had and what group of people I generally come with(???) - I again assured her she was mistaken and was sure she would recognise my companion and realise her error. I have never drunk wine in Sean Mac D's - part of the attraction for me was their world beers! Unfortunately my dinner companion was running late so I had to wait until she arrived - absolutely fuming over this confrontation. When my companion arrived I told her what had happened and as I've always dined there with the same person we approached the bar man (who appeared to be the manager) to clear up the error. He informed us that the waitress was mistaken and in fact we had settled up the bill with him and that it was alright. The point was that this was not our bill and we should have received an apology, as soon as this error was realised. I should have been informed as my dinner companion was 15 minutes late leaving plenty of opportunity. Never again will I eat in Sean Mac D's and in relation to atmosphere, a radio station in the background simply does not lend to a good ambience.

Eddie Rockets (Rathmines)
Lower Rathmines Road, South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

Love the burgers and chicken tenders. Its pricey for chips n'whatever your having but worth it as the burgers are real meat patties. We bought two meals on a deal which seemed very good value. When we settled bill we saw that we had paid for a milkshake which was supposed to be included in this deal. When we pointed this out the waiter acknowledged this but said that he could not give us credit - and we didn't make an issue out of it when the manageress passed and threatened to take the error out of the guys wages - bad image doing this infront of the public - and what was her issue seeing as we actually overpaid. Ended up getting take out coffee to the value of milkshake.

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Had lunch previously so thought would be nice for something organic and hearty on a very cold evening. Staff not overly friendly and the repetitive greetings and farewells were very insincere. Not recommended for somewhere to eat alone - just doesn't have that cosy feel. Ordered Sheperds pie which had too much tomatoe - so I wonder if its a sauce they make for bolognaise. Bread and butter pudding was really good. Also the guy on Grafton St with the sign is nevery a good indicator. Could be way better and still wondering what image they're trying to portray.
