I've been a regular here off and on for about 20 odd years. The decor badly needs updating, but as I like chinese food, Wans Garden does it for me. I have yet to have had a bad meal there in all that time. I have recommended to a lot of friends and colleagues, and none have been dissapointed. Although the current manager seems a little bit eccentric at times he is very efficient and courtious, and when not busy can be very friendly.

Went to Mulino's on a friday night, it was very quite, Staff as usual were excellent, effecient and very friendly. We had Bruscetta and Seafood Chowder for starters, followed by mains of Monkfish and a Chicken Pasta dish, washed down with a very nice bottle of wine. !! All were cooked to our liking with the exception of the Chicken Pasta dish, which although had been ordered on a number of previous visits, didn't come near as good as before, possibly different chefs....different tastes etc.. Although this will not stop us going back, we will just order something else. After a very pleasent evening and a bit of "banter" with the head waiter over the desserts it all came a very reasonable less than €80.

Aqua Restaurant
1 West Pier, Howth, Dublin 13, Howth, Dublin

Party of 4 went to Aqua with a Rewarding Times Voucher. We were given the full a le cart menu and had plenty to choose from. We had 4 starters of 2 x Rissotto, Crab Claws and pate followed by 2 excellent Fillet steaks, fish and duck, washed down by a very nice bottle of house red wine. followed by sweet and coffee. The staff were excellent, very friendly, attentive and unobtrusive, and the setting is to die for with some fantastic views over Howth village and harbour. We will have no hesitation in returning to Aqua again.

McHugh’s Wine & Dine Restaurant
59 St. Assam's Park, Dublin 5, Raheny, Dublin

Booked late on the Bank Holiday Monday, and they had no problem fitting us in. The Menu was the "sunday Specials" menu, but although it was very limited in selection, it had what we wanted. We had pate for starters, mains of Roast Lamb and the Home-made burger, along with a burger from the childrens menu, all delicious and cooked to our satisfaction. With two desserts, two minerals and a bottle of wine it cost a very reasonable less than €80. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We will have no problem going back to McHugh's, especially as its almost local and close to where we live.

Downstairs Restaurant
Gilbert & Wright, Hollybrook Park, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

Booked downstair for a party of 5, told that there was 2 sittings, picked the early7pm sitting and was told that we would have to be fisished by 9pm. The athmosphere is quite nice and homely, although some of us strugged to read the menu because of the light, small print and more so our age.(effects eyesight) .The service, was efficient, witty and very friendly. The food and wine was excellent, although some of us will probably order a differnt starter on our next visit, they had a nice sirloin steak on the menu, but I would prefer to have a choice of fillet. There was a sizeable gap between the starter and the main, and we were beginning to worry about our 9pm deadline...when the main arrived, we queried this and were assured that there wouldn't be any problem...True as we didn't leave till well after 10pm. All in all we had an excellent evening, good food in a very relaxing athmosphere at a reasonable price, although the Irish Coffee left it down a bit. We will have no hesiation in booking Downstairs again in the near future.

Nautilus
9 Marine Court, The Green, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Went to Ciao on a Sunday evening, Although we booked late, they fitted us in. We had been there on a number of times before, so we knew what to expect. The setting is excellent with some views of Malahide Marina, The staff as always, were attentive, friendly and very efficient. The food was excellent,We all had starters and they were very good. A number of us had the beef, excellent, mouth watering and cooked to our individual tastes as was the duck which our other halves had.!! We finished off with an Irish Coffee, which was very disappointing, unfortunately, one of the poorist Irish Coffee's I've ever had. Irish Coffee's aside, we had a very good meal and a pleasent relaxing evening with good views of the Malahide Marina area. The only draw back of the evening is that we all felt that it was a bit expensive, although the food and service were very good, we feltt that there are a lot more equally good restaurants in the Malahide area who are not as expensive and give better value for money.

Kitchen
3 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Booked Kitchen with Living Social voucher for a pre Theatre meal. I was a bit disapointed that the menu given to us was nothing compared to the menu on this website and was very limited. That said, what we had was excellent, and was good value. The staff at Kitchen were very friendly and although were very busy, they took time over our order and during our meal. One of our party had the soup of the day, which changed from Tomato to Cauliflower when served, much to the surprise of the waiter, although he offered to change to another starter. more of us would have had the soup if we had known that it was not tomato. The rest of the meal and the house wine went down very well. Overall, the four of us enjoyed the meal at Kitchen and would have no hesitation in going back for more.

O Ceallachain
Main Street. Carrick on Suir, Carrick On Suir, Tipperary

called in to O'Ceallachain's during the day,I was very disapointed with the food, especially as I had heard some very good recomendations. The menu was limited, and the quality was only a poor pub grub standard. I would not look forward to returning.
