I love this place. Everything is always great, atmosphere is always buzzing and the service is always good. I usually have the teriyaki beef which is outstanding and so tender but some of the more recent additions to the menu for example the summer special chicken wings need to be permanently added to the menu. The lunch menu is very good value and the service is quick enough so you can fit a lunch comfortably into an hour if you work in the area. The ginger and white chocolate cheesecake is without a doubt my favourite desert, and since it's so gingery it kinda feels like I'm not being so bad in comparison with like chocolate cake or something. All round one of my favourites and ultra reliable!

Visited here, last week and had a lovely time. I arrived before my party and they seated me and quickly brought me the Fleurie, quite nice!! I had the monkfish and salmon brochette and we shared a few other dishes. I had the patatas cubos with the garlic mayo because the patatas bravas and patatas alioli are not that great unfortunately. The waitress was generally nice although she seemed to be put out by my request for the patatas to be served with the garlic sauce which was rather odd! Everything else was lovely though. Nice atmosphere, good food, wine and service. (one aside - Toilets are tiny - there is not enough room to walk by someone comfortably!)

Amazing!! I have been regularly popping in for lunch, because well as I mentioned it's AMAZING and such good value. It's like €16/17 for 2 course lunch, the duck pancakes to start or the chicken wings are divine. For main, the massaman chicken curry is to die for and the portions are plenty big. The atmosphere and service are fantastic and I love the unlimited still or sparkling water for €1. Honestly cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!

Baan Thai (Ballsbridge)
16 Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

It was my first visit but I was sorry I waited so long to go, my bf and I enjoyed every bite and the service was excellent. I will undoubtedly return. I wasn't that adventurous with it being my first visit but I'm encouraged to try more because the basics were spot on. It's small but quaint and perfect for an intimate dinner. It's not too expensive but by the rate that restaurants are giving deals/cutting prices etc these days it could probably do a bit more but that's only if I'm nit picking. I wish they did better value take away too because I'd order all the time then. (they only offer 20% off the sit down menu.) Overall, excellent food and evening in general. I'm hungry just thinking about it!

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Liffey Valley)
Unit 40B, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Liffey Valley, Dublin

I guess it is still relatively new, but they still have quite a few kinks to work out! Like we arrived to be told that half the menu wasn't available, and they had run out of coke. Which I think is a pretty serious thing, because it doesn't come across as professional at all. The food was nice, nothing mind blowing but not too expensive so I wasn't too cut up about it. I wouldn't rush back.

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

I actually liked this place, like it's not hard to get a burger wrong but I have to give them credit. It was nicely cooked, the idea is innovative and while slightly more expensive than other similar places the quality is higher. I was shocked at the prices of the fries and sides, but the portions are more than enough for 2. I think that they're still having some growing pains but that will come with time, it's just a matter of time before the service is on par I think. Overall, I would definitely go back, especially with the poor quality of places around that area.

China House (Lucan)
7 & 8 Finnstown Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Lucan, Dublin

Went here for the first time but it won't be the last. Don't get me wrong it's not a gourmet restaurant but the early bird menu is really great value. Myself and a friend had 3 courses each, one glass of wine and a coffee and it was only 42 euro. I LOVE the tables, they are such a nifty idea. We went late so we had the place to ourselves but the staff were very attentive and at the same time they didn't fuss over us, so it struck a nice balance. I had the ribs to start which were okay but a little tough. The Cantonese duck was very good, not too tart and the rice was also lovely. All in all, definitely worth a visit if you're not looking for anything too fancy in the neighbourhood.

Casa Pasta & Pizza (Donnybrook)
3 Eirpage House, Donnybrook Road, (Opp Rugby grounds), Donnybrook, Dublin

Visited on a Tuesday night before the dinner buzz so it was fairly quiet, as such the waiters should have been a bit more attentive but nothing too drastic to complain about. The food was fairly decent, portion wise I was fine because I've a small appetite but my friends portion was so small, he went home and ate again. I had vegetable noodles which were tasty if a little overpriced for what it was. I like the fact that they do like "cook it yourself" take away. Overall I would go back but I'd probably try something different, and I wouldn't go too often.

Brunos
Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Dublin

Utterly awful.... The "buffalo" chicken wings were not buffalo wings but rather served in an sweet chili sauce and undercooked which is sooo dangerous...........perhaps the owner/manager should have more food expertise before deciding to open a restaurant! The steak was middling, - I ordered steak medium and my friend ordered it well done and they both came out the exact same!! Figure that one out?? Desert was utterly stale and crusty around the edges....please please please do NOT go here. It is an utter abomination to all things food. Over-priced and beyond pity.....do yourself a favour!!
