Ocean Bar restaurant
The Millenium Tower, Charlotte Quay, Ringsend, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 4
Reviewed 19th January 2011 ( visited 14th January 2011 )this bar is generally buzy on a friday with the after work crowd, its also great during the summer was it gets the sun all evening and is a lovely setting for a summers drink I love to go here for the fish salad and have never ordered anything else! You get a great selection of fish at a really reasonable price, though the atmosphere can be a bit hit and miss depending on how buzy or quiet the place is
19/20 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Had lunch here with a friend and my 8 week old baby. there were very accommodating. there is plenty of seating and loads of space inside for the buggy, the food is really wonderful and worth every penny.
Indie Spice (Sandymount)
23-24 Sandymount Green, Dublin 4, Sandymount, Dublin
Went on a sunday afternoon and were seated straight away - love the decor inside and relaxed atmosphere, the food was very nice, but for the price the portions were very small. we both enjoyed the meal very much and would go back. I love their take away deal which gives 2 starters. two mains two sides and 2 beers for 30 - I find this very good value and the food is wonderful.
Buenos Aires Grill
Unit 2 Castle Way, Golden Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
that atmosphere was very nice and we were given a choice of seats, the staff were all very nice and attentive the food was very good, but for the price it was a little underwhelming, the steak was ok - but it was just steak. the sides that the meal came with were very small. Over all it was an enjoyable meal but over priced and I wont go again.
Quay 16 Restaurant @ MV Cill Airne
MV Cill Airne, North Wall Quay, IFSC, Dublin
went here for a quick mid week bite with a friend, the atmosphere is very nice in this unique setting. the service was wonderful and the food very pleasing - good range of choice. I would go again and always enjoy the place
2-4 Chatham Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
went here last night for a girls xmas dinner we had booked a table. but they left us waiting in the very crowded entrance hall for 15min, no apologies. When we finally got the table it was freezing, the whole place was very cold, this made eating unpleasant. My friend had to ask for her drink three times before it came and our water glasses were never topped up during the meal. the service was very slow and slightly rude. the food was unexciting and the pasta in the spag bol was under cooked. the menu was over prices for pasta dishes. I would not go again.

The Market Bar
Fade Street, City Centre South, Dublin
we went for a girls night out after the end of college, the place was empty so the atmosphere was a bit lacking. the menu is wonderful, if you like tapas. their is a lot of choice and the food is always good - well cooked and tasty. Dessert portions are very large. Very well priced.
Eddie Rockets (Donnybrook)
Main Street, Dublin 4, Donnybrook, Dublin
the whole place was very cold and we had to all wear our coats the whole time. Eddies is always quiet expensive for what it offers. we had the cheese chip - which were not very nice at all. the hot dog was nice, but the bum was a bit stale. I had the BLT which was average. Milk shakes were, as always, work going for
Crystal Boat Restaurant
Gallery Quay, Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin
We had the early bird menu - which had a good few options. the portions were a bit small and my partners noddle dish has very little meat in it. I had the duck which was very nice and a good size. the place is very small so not much atmosphere and the service was a little lacking considering they were so quiet when we were in.
Coppinger Row, off South William St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Went here on a very busy friday night with no reservation - we were seated within 45min. I had crab to start & my partner had the squid and then we both had the steak for mains, all the food was well cooked and flavoured. Really enjoyed this meal
Kanum Thai Ltd
77 Mespil Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin
The food is always fresh and tastes wonderful - best take away in town!!
Pizza Hut (Dundrum)
Unit CSA, 2M Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin
Had lunch here yesterday - used their all you can eat buffet for €9.99, the service was very slow . The pizza at the buffet bar was nice, when it was available, but there were huge gaps between the supply and demand - we only got to have a few slices of pizza each, it really wasn’t all you can eat at all. The choice was limited as they were so slow in bringing out new pizzas and on many occasions there simply wasn’t any pizza available, there was a lot of waiting around for it to become available. When food was brought out from the pizza over everyone having the buffet would rush to the counter and queue, by the time some people got to the top of the queue there was nothing left and they’d have to sit back down again and wait for more food to be brought out. Very disappointing.
YO Sushi (Dundrum)
Level 1, Unit 26A, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin
I went here with my mum before seeing a movie in the Cinema, she ordered the miso soup, which was lovely - then we ordered Chicken Teriyaki, a noodle portion and some wings, while the food was served quickly the portions were small and the noodles were unimpressive - we took a number of plates of food from the rotator belt, over all the meal was very expensive

No 1 Fade Street, Off Georges's Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
You cant book here so we went along on a friday eveing and the place was really buzy, they took our number and we had a drink in the bar next door, we only had to wait an hour for the table, the place itself is very unique and real dining experience. I had the Strip Loin Steak with Café de Paris sauce, I asked for it rare and it was practically blue, so want rare steak if u ask for it. All the food we had a wonderful and we had no complaints, The wine list was wonderful and had lost of choice in relation to price. really enjoyed this meal, would recommend anyone to go along!
ely gastro bar
Grand Canal Square, (Next to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre), Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin
Went here mid week and it was fairly crouded. We requested Oysters which we normaly have in Ely, however they no longer serve them. The fish of the day had also fun out. We both had the fillet steak and it was cooked perfectly, the food was, as always, amazing.
Mao Restaurant (Dun Laoghaire)
The Pavillion, South Co, Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
this is a personal favorite and we go often, on this most recent visit we note that the portions had got smaller and were served on smaller plates, (nasi goreng in particular) we love the atmosphere and service, though we sometimes have to ask for the water a few times! There used to be a meal deal, which no longer seems to be available
65 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin
We arrived with out a booking about 5:45pm on a buzy sat night, though they were buzy they seated us without any problem - there were three of us and we shared the epic chicken wings,I had the crayfish pasts which was full of flavour, the meal was tasty, service great and a wonderful experience
8 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Loved this relaxed, friendly environment - food was really great and good value!well presented. Will go again
Thai Orchid (Dublin)
7 Westmoreland Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
The portions were tiny and food cheap and nasty We had two starters and two mains, when the starters did come one of them was the wrong dish and had to be sent back, when the mains came they were both the wrong dish and the waiter actually argued with us about our order and we had to request a menu to show what we had ordered ~(the waitress had taken the order using the meal numbers so we know she had noted the right meals) there was little or no apology for this and we were left waiting. The food was sickly sweet and the rice had obviously been left sitting in the dish all day and was over cooked, would never go again!
