2nd time to eat here. We had a table booked for 6:30pm. Chicken wings were gorgeous as always. I had the cod special with lentils which was tasty but a few more lentils would have been nice. My boyfriend had the bacon and cheddar cheese burger - no cheese on it. Loads of chips with his meal. Service was very slow, one waiter walked around looking at tables but never clearing. We sat for at least 10 mins with our empty starter plates in front of us. The hostess was amazing, she was sitting people, clearing tables, bringing food, very efficient!! We will return but our expectations have slipped a little.

Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Great evening, food was quick and tasty!! Early bird menu has plenty of choice and the portion sizes are a decent. At €13:90 for 2 courses you really can't complain! And all wash down with a nice glass of house wine! €3:50 for the first glass and it was delicious!!

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Myself and 4 girlfriends went to Luigi's for the early bird, Exceptional value, 23.95e for a three course meal. The portions were generous and the food was gorgeous, I had the wings, steak and hazelnut ice cream, the ribs and nachos also looked great. Our waitress was so attentive and made the whole evening very relaxed. Will defo be returning!!! A very enjoyable evening had by all!!!

Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Got in before the rush on a Sunday evening and the staff gave us an option of seats. Service was very quick and we received our food within minutes of ordering (slightly worrying!!) I ordered the Chicken Faijita, and while there was plenty of food it was ruined by the full plant of corriander on it and the salad was drowned in dressing. Will go again but will be asking for garnish and dressing on the side.

Twist Cafe
1 Fagans Lane, Maynooth, Kildare

Have eaten here a few times, for brunch, lunch and dinner. Food is always really good. Portions are a good size and the tapas for dinner are delicious. BYO is also a great option!! Definitely recommend eating here. Very relaxed atmosphere so don't expect the waitress staff (very good) to be hanging around you!

We had a throughly enjoyable Valentine's Dinner, Lots of space and the food was fresh and delicious. The chicken wings as a shared starter are a must. The sticky toffee pudding and the upside-down cheesecake were divine!! Planning a return trip already!!!
