Found this place one Wednesday evening and it had great jazz music floating out of it. We ordered a meat platter, which was a bit pricy but was really lovely. It was enough to fill us both. I ordered a glass of white wine, it was 8 euro, again not cheap, but possibly the nicest glass of wine ever! The music and friendly staff made it a very nice relaxed evening and somewhere I would go back to again.

The menu looked really good, and it was nice, a bit different and healthy. But slow service and not a great atmosphere. Would maybe try it again, but for lunch only.

Went here after work, we didnt have a booking but managed to get a table with intructions that we had to be out in an hour 15 mins. The three of us just went for main course and desert. Food was nice, well flavored, desert was also very good. Even though the place was busy the atmosphere osnt the best.Ok place though

Elephant & Castle
18/19 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I have heard many great things about this place so was dying to go. It was last night, so a rainy Monday evening, this was the only reason that we got seated within 5 mins! (had heard that is was always mad busy and so expected a good 45 min wait!) We started with the chicken wings- now normally I'm not a fan of chicken wings but they HAD to be tried, so when in Rome... I have to say they really were lovely, I'd go back just for them! They came in a large bowl, easily 20+ and had a lovely tangy sauce but were still crisp and delicious Then I had the mushroom risotto and he had a steak. My risotto was ok, not a huge amount of flavor and some of the mushrooms were a little rubbery - so I wouldn't get it again. His steak was pretty big and he looked a little disappointed by the serving of chips (about 10 chunky chips stacked into a Jenga square) But he was happy enough when he finished it!(eyes too big for the belly!) Steak was just as he requested, medium rare and tasted lovely. I felt it was good value, my Risotto only being 9.50 ,but himself thought it was a little expensive as the steak was 22. I would go back again.

Have heard so great things about this place so maybe I arrived with too high hopes for it. The menu was good, service was attentive. However I wasnt blown away by any of the items I or my firends ordered. It was nice...thats all.

The Studio Cafe
54 Rathfarnham Village, Rathfarnham, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Went here for a bit of brunch with two friends. My friend ordered the mini full Irish, which looked lovely, but arrived about 10 minutes before ours. When we ordered fruit scones with buttons and jam, we asked for them to be toast (this must have been why they took so long to arrive!!!) They were nice but very small. The girls ordered tea, and I ordered a coke but instead got a coffee brought to me. My first impressions of the place were high but I probably wouldn't bother to go back to be honest!

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Went here with a big group. It was good, however it was an odd number so the table was set with 5 on one side and 6 squashed into the other, which was a little uncomfortable for person no 6! Place was crowed, as it was a Sat night. Service was ok though, they were kept on their toes! Food is good quality. Nice selection.

Tante Zoes

This is my best friends favorite restaurant and I have been here about twice. The food is really great, though the atmosphere can be a little hit and miss and the staff can be a little the same! Good for a change from italian!

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Wagamama is one of those reliable places, you know what to expect and you always get it. The food is great, the service is quick. My only complaint is that you feel like your being rushed outta there...

The Harbour Master Restaurant & Bar
Custom House Dock, I.F.S.C Dublin 1, IFSC, Dublin

Went here twice, the first time for lunch. I had a really great Mushroom Risotto- it was so good I have searched for one as good everywhere I go! So the food and service was good. the second time I went it was for evening drinks and I was very disppointed with the total lack of atmosphere in the place. Lunches only for now on...

Yamamori Noodles

I love sushi, and this place does it well. Try to get a table beside the conveyor - but be warned you end up eating way more this way cause everything looks so good!
