Ciao Bella Roma
24/25 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went for the lunch special on a Saturday with a group of frieds, we all had the luch deal for 12.50€, which is a very good value, bruschetta and mussels as starter and pizza, food was lovely, pizza was real Italian stuff, dowside was the waiting time, we had to wait almost an hour for our pizza to arrive and when we finished our meal we we almost rush out of the table to accomodate the waiting Q of people that had formed while we were eating. Would definitely go back, lunch deal is a great bargain, Good food at decent price!

Went for Brunch with a group of friends, the place was buyzzing, and had a lively atmospheare, I had the crab cakes, and I didnt particularly enjoed them, the cakes was too salty and couldt taste the flavour of the crab, was quite greasy for my taste as well, the boys had the Irish Breakfast, and it looked delicious, huge portion as well, my other friend had the French toas with Bacon, and it looked scrumptious! I maybe choose the wrong dish, thats why I'd love to go back to try something different!

Went with a couple of friends on a Saturday evening, and compared to previous times, I was disappointed, we had to wait for a while before being presented with any meat, the beef picanha and beef shoulder were as usual good ans tasty, but the other cuts were not good. The pork ribs tasted weird. Service as usual was very friendly. Might take a while before I go back

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Went for brunch with the girls, definitely the best place for brunch in Dublin, our waitress Tanja was very attentive and super nice, she is brilliant, the food and atmospheare are as usually perfect, we had chicken wings that were simply delicious, the mango salsa that came with them, was so tasty and really balanced the flavour, some of us had burgers, which as usual comes cooked to perfection, and we tried the confit of duck leg on asparagus risotto, very delicate dish. Definitely my favourite place in Dublin

Rustic Stone
South George's Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Went in with my boyfriend with a lunch voucher, we had chicken wings as starter, simply delicious, a perfect combination of flavors, would have loved a more generous portion, as main we had meat on the stone...and pesto chips, beautiful, perfect attention to details in the presentation and the quality of the meat was excellent. A bit overpriced for my taste, considering that you will be cooking yr own meat, but definitely reccommened

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Went with a menupages voucher, which made the dinner a great value, I had Duck & Chicken Liver Armagnac Pate as starter, it was nice, but too sweet for my taste, my bf had spicy chicken wings, which were very yummy and tasty, we both had rib steak as main, the meat was cooked perfectly, would like to see a selection of sauces to accompany the steak, not just peppercorn sauce, which I found too thick and too strong. Definitely would go back!!

Avenue by Nick Munier
1 Crow Street, City Centre South, Dublin

My boyfriend and I, went here on a Friday night with a Livingsocial voucher. Staff was very friendly, but too much attentive as too much in your face, atmosphere was modern with funky music playing at an acceptable level where you could still easily talk over. Oil and balsamic vinegar served with bread, once you sit down at the table were extremely disappointing, you could call that balsamic vinegar, it was cheap quality supermarket, something that I wouldn’t have expected in an upscaly restaurant such this one. I had the Mango and Smoked Duck Risotto as starter, and didn’t get any flavor that you would expected, the risotto tasted cheese and cream, no mango flavor at all, I could get any smoked flavor from the duck either, my bf got the Crab and Shrimp Salad, which was nice and refreshing, as main course I got the Duck Burger with Foie Grass, which was an extreme disappointment, I was expecting something as a deconstructed burger, with crispy duck breast and a nice slice of foie grass, but it was a lumpy, greasy burger covered with garlic butter; the meat didn’t even taste like duck, I couldn’t find any flavor, not I could see any foie grass inside the burger, I couldn’t even finish it, my bf had Rib Eye steak, wich was cooked well , but anything magical about it, just a steak, I was expecting the garnish to be more fancy. We had a 500 ml carafe of Italian red wine. I would definitely not go back, I find the place too pretentious for the quality of service and food served, definitely not recommended.

We went with a voucher for the pornburger. This month is was the mexican and I have to say, it was disappointing, the food presentation was perfect, but the burger wasnt cooked properly, and the whole plate was served lukewarm. Went on a busy Saturday night with a couple of friends, the place doesn't really have much atmosphere, but definitely have character, you can see, it is a real Brazilian restaurant, and we saw many Brazilian coming in, therefore, we were happy we would taste the real thing. The food was very tasty, and the meat was delicious, melting in yr mouth, a bit too salty for my taste

Went for dinner during the week, the place was busy enough considering the central location, atmosphere and interior decor make the place very cosy and intimate, perfect for a couple, we had steak with all the trimmings, and it was delicious, the meat was cooked to perfection, a bit overpriced, but definitely an enjoyable experience. Will be back to try something different!

Stanley's
7 St Andrews Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Went for Sunday brunch with a couple of friends, the place is very small, but it had a great atmosphere, there was live music, probably a bit too loud, but very entertaining. I had poached eggs with crayfish, and it tasted delicious apart for the eggs to be overcooked, the other friends got the Cuban Sandwich, which looked amazing. Dish are very well presented and the association of flavors is perfectly balanced, it doesn't have a huge selection, but very original ideas in their dishes. Definitely would be back!

profile_review

Rio Rodizio
27 Ranelagh, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

After hearing great things about the place, I went with my boyfriend on a Friday evening, we had a small salad from the salad bar as we wanted to save ourselves for the meat. You then sit down and the waitress brings you your french fries, freshly made from real potatoes, and the cheese bread. The meat was deliciously cooked, but is quite heavily salted, I would prefer to have less salt on it, I was dying of thirst for the rest of the night and the day after. We tryed almost evy cut of meat, I would have loved to try lamb meat, which apparently is not included in the selection, loved it! the only downside was the price of Wine, I found it a bit expensive, but we will definitely be back.

Had dinner with a friend on a Sunday evening, the atmosphere is always very relaxed, and the service was great, our waitress was extremely nice, starters portion are very scarce, the prawns plate came with only four prawns and wasn't very tasty, they are supposed to be sizzle in garlic, but couldn't taste the garlic at all, really felt lack of attention to details. Went for brunch on a Sunday with a group of four, I had eggs benedict, which was well presented, but the eggs were overcooked and too much sauce was on the plate, the others had Irish breakfast which looked nice, and beef which tasted delicious. Price-wise the brunch menu is good value, as the portion are huge, but the drinks are overpriced, would definitely be back.

Hugo's
6 Merrion Row, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went for Sunday brunch with the girls, we had egg Benedict, egg Florentine and an Irish breakfast, the eggs were very nice, though the potatoes were spiced with some cumin or curry, which doesn’t really fit with the others flavours, the traditional Irish Breakfast wasn’t great too greasy for our taste, overall was a pleasant experience, wouldn’t really recommend it for brunch, might try an early bird soon.

Aussie BBQ
5 South Richmond Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

The best burger in Dublin!! Went for dinner on a sunny day, I had the pork rib, delicious, the meat was melting in my mouth, while my friend had a big white, a huge burger, very tasty and perfectly cooked. We had chicken wings as starter, but have to admit weren’t great, would definitely be back, we loved the place and pricewise is very competitive! I highly recommend it!

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Went with a menupages voucher, both my partner and I had the fillet steak , it was divine, one of the best steak I had in Dublin. The restaurant is very spacious and there was piano player as entertainment, customer service is excellent, I would say the BEST in Dublin. Observing other plates coming out the kitchen I would say the food is prepared elegantly and creatively, the atmosphere is fancy and classy, really impressed, would definitely be back!

Ciao Bella Roma
24/25 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Ciao Bella Roma never disappoint me! It was a while since I went there last time, but returned for a girls night out before Christmas, they offer us the early bird option which in December is very rare for restaurant in Dublin to keep it. The food was as usually great, bruschette and pizza plus wine for only 14 euro, and other selection of pasta and meat. Definitely a place to go if you want to taste good Italian food and not ending up spending a fortune! Will be back soon!

Yum

Amazing very nice and friendly place. Food gorgeously delicious, big massive and tasty burgers accompanied by a choice of healthy salads and chips or baked potatoes. We went for the smoke beef burger and the chicken fillet one, both were delicious and not heavy on your stomach even though they were huge! Definitely I recommend the place, the staff was very welcoming and attentive to our needs, they even gave us a free dessert voucher for the next time we would visit them, which would be very soon!!

Rock Lobster (Inactive)
Above Kiely’s Pub, 22-24 Donnybrook Rd, Donnybrook, Dublin

Extremely disappointing. Went to celebrate my boyfriend birthday, and it was a complete disaster. Apparently already at the beginning of the evening, at 19.00, they run out of seafood as well as wine, and waited until we order one of the few wines available to advise that the choice of seafood was extremely limited. For a couple of starters and some frozen "hand-cut" chips and a small portion of mussels plus the wine we ended up spending almost 80 euro, which was in my opinion a rip off. Would definitely NOT going back EVER again.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Temple Bar)
Unit 1, Temple Bar Square, Dublin 2 , Temple Bar, Dublin

Went for lunch on a Friday and had the Aubergine & Goats Cheese, which I wouldn't recommend, aubergines are soaked in olive oil and not really tasty, while the breaded goats cheese is a bit to much, dint enjoy my selection, but my bf had the beacon burger and it was delicious, the meat was very tasty and not over spiced, the burgers are massive, definitely will be back to try different options

Cinnamon Ranelagh
87 Ranelagh, South Dublin, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Went on a Saturday for wine and something to bite, we got the mixed plate were there were supposed to be meat, grilled vegetables and cheese, overpriced for what has been presented, the olives and the cheese didn't taste as if they were the real stuff. On the other hand the Italian wine we selected was very nice and not too expensive. The atmosphere was cosy and relaxed although the service should really improve, they don't look very organized, The place really doesn't deliver what you expect from the trendy look, and nice atmosphere. Would recommend it just for drinks.

La Bodega Tapas y Vinos
93 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6 , Ranelagh, Dublin

Went on a girls night out during the week, it was busy enough. We expected a wide selection of wines, but not for glasses only, which I found quite strange for a wine-tapas bar. The differences in size between tapas and raciones wasnt so huge, the food was too salty and I really wouldnt reccomend it, not even for a drink.

Dine with boyfriend with a grabone voucher, I had the mussules as starter and seafood tagliatelle as main, delicious, a bit heavy with the cream, but amazing! Boyfriedn had the antipasto misto as starter, a huge tagliere of cured meat and cheese, delicious, he had pizza as main, and it was great, maybe too much of the topping, but thin and light as a real Italian Pizza, an Italian waitress was serving us, and she was absolutely charming. I really reccomend the place, it is good food and good value, and the only restaurant that I know that offer you a late bird, well done, keep it up the good standards!

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went with a bunch of girlfriends to celebrate a hen's party. We had an amazing dinner and the service was very glamorous. The atmospheare is always very special and cosy, the food was delicious and we did have a great time, unfortunately the big table beside us was celebrating a stag party and it arrived at the restaurant quite drunk and kept drinking and drinking up to a point that we stopped enyoing our dinner and left as soon as the meal was over.

Lovely atmospheare and very stylish tapas bar. I have been there few times, and altough I think the food is too expensive and the value not worthed the price, I love their wine list. I had an aperitif with a lovely Spanish wine, olives and nuts, was delicious, wouldnt reccomend it for a full dinner evening.

Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street)
14-16 South Frederick Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went to D&C last sunday for lunch with my boyfriend, we popped in for a quick salad meal. We had two different salads and a glass of vine each. The food and the wine were good, even though we were expecting more generous portions; the service was fast and friendly. We were both very disappointed by the presentation of the table:a paper table-mat with cutlery wrapped in a cheap paper-serviette, and glasses that looked dirty probably from too much trips to the dishwasher! What a disppointment!

The Dropping Well
Classon's Bridge, Milltown, Milltown, Dublin

I went this morning with my boyfriend for a Sunday Irish Breakfast.I asked the waitress to take out the black pudding from my breakfast and I had been served only black pudding!! When I explain the mistake to another waitress, She was going to change the order, but the first one very rudely explain that I was colour blind and left me with a wrong order, extremely unsatisfied as I am not either color blind or stupid. I certainly wouldnt repeat the experience! And I would never set my foot at this pub again.

Oliveto Restaurant & Bar
Oliveto At The Haddington, 9-12 Haddington Terrace, Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Went twice already, the first time was great and wanted to repeat the experience! Enjoyed the starters, tagliere vegetariano and cestino di pane were so tasty we clean the plates. Pizza is the best I have ever had in Ireland, thin base and with original ingredients, being Italian I am a fussy eater in Italian restaurants, but I felt at home here, I already reccomended the place to friends and colelagues, the food and the atmospheare are worth every penny.
