Emailed the week before Christmas to book brunch on Christmas Eve, heard about how amazing it was so I decided to bring my parents along. I was told the brunch menu was available and my table was confirmed. Then received a call the evening before to confirm, all seemed fine. We arrived and showed to our table, where we were presented with a set lunch menu. I explained my situation and got a very bad apology from the front of house. I understand Christmas Eve is a very busy time, but I booked well in advance and the menu we requested was confirmed. Place is spoiled for me now due to the mix-up and lousy response from the stuff. So I will be getting brunch elsewhere.
Milano (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin
Grabbed a bite here on Saturday night. No booking, but they managed to take us. Very busy and lively. Running staff need a little more experience.

Came here for dinner on a Wednesday and had their €40 meal for two. Fantastic deal, plenty of food and also included two margaritas. Only downside is that they don't let couples sit at a table. We arrived at 7 and the bar was full of tables of 2. Strange considering all the tables were free. Will be returning with from than 2 next time!

The Ivy
33 Main Street South, Naas, Kildare, Naas, Kildare
In Naas on Sunday and fancied a carvery. The Ivy is newly reopened so we decided to try something new. When we arrived we were told there was a carvery on offer, but that it was table service... Food arrived very quick and very hot. My grandmother had asked for a very small portion of potatoes and vegetables, as she didn't have an option and didn't want to waste food. Her food arrived last and there was no difference in portion size in relation to the rest of ours. I've been reassured by friends that the bar food menu is delicious! But I won't be returning for carvery again!

Koh
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin
Very quick food service and by quick I mean we go our food before our cocktails! Very tasty all round! I ordered the prawns and garlic as my main, good amount of prawns as some places can usually be mean.

La Dolce Vita - The Chase
Carmanhall Road, Dublin 18, Sandyford, Dublin
Delicious and very affordable food! Arrive on an early Sunday eve and it was very noisy with childen, but they soon left afterwards. Overall can't fault the place and will be returning.

Rustic Stone
South George's Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin
Had a delicious meal here for New Years Eve, unfortunately they didn't do anything for the countdown. Luckily, a table across from us shouted the countdown! Otherwise, delicious and will be returning very soon. Highly recommend the sweet potato mash and truffle fries!

Tap House
60 Ranelagh, Ranelagh, Dublin
Had a meal here with a group of girls last week, very nice experience. The food menu is full of different tastes, we order lots of different dishes to pick at and 3 sliders each, they are delicious! All very different and put together very creatively. Great choice of wine and would recommend it for a nice casual meal.

Mongolian Barbeque
7 Anglesea Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Came here for a girly catchup last week and we were not disappointed. For the majority of us, it was our first time here and we will all be returning! The food is fresh and cooked straight in front of you. With a wide variety of meat, veggies, sauces and spices there is something for everyone's taste. The staff are super friendly and chatty too. We'll be returning very soon...
