The Bruschetta bar is in my opinion the best Italian restaurant in Limerick. The food is always fresh and the portions are generous. The staff are very nice and the owner is always on hand to advise you on the menu and his selection of wines. I would recommend his Italian house red. You must try the bruschetta's as a starter they are one of their specialties. You won't get better anywhere. My favourite main course is meatballs with spaghetti and tomato sauce, always very fresh with the perfect hint of garlic and herbs. The lasagna is unique and made to a very specific old Italian recipe. You won't find a lasagna like it in Ireland. They have a fantastic choice of desserts. My favourite is the toffee mousse. This restaurant is great value for money and a great place to bring your family and friends- young and old, whatever the occasion.

Bit disappointed on this occasion had a starter of bbq ribs which were all bone and no meat. The chicken curry and rice were very average. The chicken was not very fresh and the sauce did not have much taste. 10 % service charge was not a nice desert and I had a lot of hassle trying to pay for my bill as I wanted to pay separate from the people that I was dining with. The temperature in the restaurant was going from cold to hot and hot to cold while we were dining there. It will be a long time before I am tempted back.

The Salt House Bar & Restaurant - CLOSED
8 - 9 Georges Quay, Limerick City, Limerick

the service from the start had a lot to be desired. the staff seemed to be confused about our reservation even though the restaurant was half empty. when we were finally seated we were left waiting for about twenty minutes before our order was taken. Even at that point we still hadn't had a drinks order taken. After 45 minutes there was still no sign of our starters and the waiters seemed to be avoiding our table. At this point I went looking for manager who had told me that they had lost our order. The manager was very polite and courteous but under a lot of pressure. She asked us to give her a chance to sort it out and gave us a free bottle of wine. After that the service improved. The menu isn't complicated. We had tomato and basil soup, cheese platter, and butchers platter for starters. All three choices were very tasty. The butchers platter consistedof cured meats made in ireland with fresh bread. I would certainly recommend this as a starter. We drank an argentinian red wine which was pricey but very tasty. For the main courses we had steak and pasta with chicken and mushroom sauce. The main courses were very well prepared and of very good quality. I would recommend the house cut chips, very authentic. Desserts were of a very high standard. I would recommend the strawberry based creme brulee, and the house coffee was very good too. I would recommend this restaurant and I hope they have improved on the service.

Copper & Spice Restaurant
Above The Mill Bar, Anncotty Village, Annacotty, Limerick

we went for the early bird menu. the food was of very good quality and plentiful. the options were also very good. we had the combo starters which is good because you get the chance to try different things from the menu. the mains were excellent. i had a curry which was one of the best i have had. i was too full for dessert but my better half had a very large slice of rich chocolate cake which was very nice. the restaurant was quiet as we were the first in the door but it has a lovely warm feel to it. i would recommend copper and spice to anyone looking for a good deal with a great Asian menu.
