NOT RECOMMENDED! Had lunch on 22/01/10 with a friend after spending 25mins trying to find a 'pay' parking space on the street. No complaints about food or service, quite good but nothing special and very pricey for a lunch. On paying the €53.80 bill, the waitress accepted my gift voucher which had €57.00 remaining. However, a rather pompous lady who had strolled behind the counter, decided that she should pocket the difference by instructing the waitress that the voucher was now 'a dead duck'. Since I had intended to drop the change into a tips jar anyway I didn't make a fuss. My point is that this lady had no right to pocket money that did not belong to her. After settling my bill it is my choice what I do with the change. I will not be back after this little infraction, and I would advise people not to buy gift vouchers from here as they only last 6 months, they are frowned upon by the management on redemption and they will keep any unused amount. I bet if my bill was one euro over the voucher amount she would have looked for payment from me!?

Victoria Hall Restaurant
Quay Road, Carrick On Shannon, Leitrim

Way over priced for mediocre food. We were a group of nine and no other customers. Service charge was 35euro (10%). Food was nothing special. Most dishes were simple stir fry or curry and well over 20euro per main course. We all felt ripped off. This is not fine dining and none of us would recommend it.
