Really good food, had the chicken breast pitta with spicy rice. Very tasty and service etc was great, portion sizes are quite small however for the price, would be much better if portions were a bit larger. Will go back but would order something different which would possible be a bit more substantial for the money.

Arc Cafe Bar
Liffey Vallley Shopping Centre, Fonthill Rd, West Dublin, Liffey Valley, Dublin

Myself and hubby used our menu pages deal last week and were very pleasantly surprised. Food was fabulous and the service was very friendly. We had the prawns and the crab cakes, crab cakes were gorgeous, very light and so tasty. Then we had the lamb shank and sea bass, both were gorgeous and woud have either of them again. Portions were generous so didnt have much room for dessert but tried them anyway and were lovely! Would definitely eat here again.

Harolds Cross Greyhound Stadium
Harolds Cross Race Track, Dublin 6W, Harolds Cross, Dublin

Visited here with some work colleagues. Qualilty of the food is very good. Have eaten in Dobbins many times and the food here is just as good. Service lets it down a little, ordered some extra side dishes and they didnt arrive despite reminding staff twice for them. Also, and it is just a small point, it might be a good idea for meals to be served between races, the races are short enough and to have to be distracted from a race because the meals because dishes are being placed on the table is a bit unneccessary.

La Serre
The Village @ Lyons, Celbridge, Kildare

Lovely location and great value, we had the €99 menu. Service on the whole was very good though when I asked what a particular type of bread was the waiter's reply was 'Bread', most odd, he then had to go off to ask what type of bread it was. The risotto to start was probably the nicest I've had. Partner's beef was closer to well done than medium but my halibut was delicious. The ringing of the bell and frequent shouts of 'service' from the kitchen was very offputting and something I think management should be looking at as it can certainly put a damper on what was a nice atmosphere.

Montys of Kathmandu
28 Eustace Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We had the €75 two course special. Food was absolutely delicious, the papads and dip are yummy and the starter platter was very nice. However, I dont think for what we got and the portion size of the main course that it offered particularly good value for money considering it was a Sunday night, I think they could lower the price of this menu. Service was very good and the staff take the effort to explain the menu to you.

Riverside Restaurant @ Kilkenny River Court Hotel
Kilkenny River Court Hotel, The Bridge, John Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Disappointing. Firstly there was a wedding in the adjacent function room and when we arrived the connecting doors were left open and service to the wedding was through the restaurant, didnt exactly add to the atmosphere, felt we were sitting in the kitchen! The wine we selected was not available. the starter of duck spring roll was ok, chilli sauce definitely out of a jar! The steak we both selected had a €10 supplement however this was not listed on the menu, only when we ordered. We both changed for the beef which was cooked beautifully and lifted the quality of the meal, menu was quite unimaginative though. Would not be rushing back.

Meghna Tandoori
8-12 Terenure Place, Dublin 6, Terenure, Dublin

Was not very impressed with this restaurant Service was very gruff, not a smile from any staff member. The seafood starter was overdone, crab claws were dried out and inedible. Lamb tikka masala was delicious but the service and quality of the starter really let the place down.

Chapter One Restaurant
18/19 Parnell Square, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Super! From the moment we arrived the service was wonderful, very friendly and not at all stuffy. Food was amazing, portions looked small but were filling so turned out to be plenty. We had the pre-theatre menu and service was prompt and there would be no problem making it to the theatre if you were going after. We weren't but didnt feel too rushed at all. A wonderful restaurant.

Delhi Darbar (Celbridge)
Main Street, Above Village Inn, Celbridge, Kildare

First visit to the new restaurant and was impressed, very handy to have nearby. Food was good, one of the better usual Indian restaurants I have eaten in. The one downside was that the waiting staff had to keep walking through the restaurant past our table with plastic bags of takeaway, spoiled the atmosphere a little. Apart from that, a good night out.
