I think this is one of the best Indian restaurants in Dublin it always has a great atmosphere too so we will continue to dine there.

Visited here last night with a friend, I had a cream based dish and it was okay not a whole lot of flavour in it but that could have been because I asked for no cheese in it as I am allergic, I usually go for tomatoe based dishes in here but decided to change, my friend got bolognese she didn't like it all that much she thinks there was some herbs in it that she would not be used to so it wasn't to her taste, service was very good and really helpful and friendly the waiter forgot to bring our chips when we ordered so we got them at the end of the meal and they were FOC. Desserts were beautiful you have to try the sticky toffee pudding, great value too with 35% off. Overall I still love this place but will choose different dishes to suit my taste next time. Its really a personal preference

Food was beautiful very tasty and fresh, the atmosphere in the restaurant was really good too as it was at full capacity, the service was a tiny bit slow but then again food is being cooked fresh and the place was full. We did feel the service staff could be a little friendlier but we were very well looked after, the food is amazing so don't pass this place by.

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I dined here last week with 2 friends of mine we were really looking forward to a catch up and a nice meal, I am on two minds about this place I dont feel it has any atmosphere and the food was just okay, the menu does not offer a wide choice so its either basic chicken, steak or fish and it is fairly pricey too. The service was just okay the waitress was a bit bizarre she questioned me when I said I would have chips along with the meal like as if it was a problem the fact the three of us were sharing the chips didnt come into it, she didnt know what veg was on the meal and seemed agitated that my friend too some time picking what to eat. Its kind of a cold looking place and I am not too sure I will be back again there are plenty more restaurants with a nicer feel to them around town with better food.

Anvil Bistro Restaurant
Saggart Village, Dublin 22, Saggart, Dublin

I had dinner here last night with some friends and I have to say I was really disappointed. I've been to the new place a few times and I always hope that the next time I go there it will be nicer but it just wasn't, I ate in the original Anvil around the corner plenty of times and the food was amazing and a great cosy atmosphere but it seems to have lost that and the food well was just bland and boring. The menu is very limited and they don't seem to change it up at all, I am on a strict calorie diet and would have loved a low cal curry or a stir fry but on the high protein menu there was a salad, fish, steak or chicken all very basic in the end I had pasta and it was well bland and really tasteless. Service was really good we had a very pleasant waiter serving us one other waiter was not so pleasant but you can win them all. I really wish they would revise their menu and possibly add some dishes with flavour that would make people say wow that place is amazing. Will I be going back again anytime soon the answer is no.

JD's Steakhouse
4 Rathfarnham Road, Dublin 6W, Terenure, Dublin

I visited here on Monday for a friends birthday I have never been here before although live close enough to it usually we go for an indian or thai but on this occasion chose here as my mam doesn't eat spicy food. The service was brilliant and very quick, food was delicious but what I would say is for mains we felt the portion size was a bit too small for what we were charged I opted for wings to start which was amazing, chicken diovola for mains which was very tasty and then panna cotta for dessert. Everything was fresh and delicious and we really loved it here, we would just prefer bigger portion size. It's also worth noting there is a 12.5% service charge which on our bill was 26.50 on a table of 7 we felt we would have preferred to decide how much of a tip to give so that is why I have given some stars a 3.5. Overall we really loved this place and will be back.

Gallahers Bistro
16A D'Olier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I had dinner here with two friends Friday night and had chicken wings to start and pasta for mains the food was delicious I asked for no cheese on my pasta as it makes me ill and they had no problem, the service is brilliant and a great atmosphere. We didn't book a table so we just walked in and were seated overall I really love this place and will be back again.

Vermilion
94-96 Terenure Road, Dublin 6 , Terenure, Dublin

I visited here last Friday as we had a menu pages voucher on the two for the price of one and we loved it, I have eaten here before but usually leave my review on another site, the food was outstanding, the service was excellent and very attentive and the jazz music really made for a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The food isn't the cheapest around but it is very fresh and tasty and where Indian food is concerned I don't mind paying for quality. This is by far my favorite restaurant, and also my favorite Indian too. We will be back soon.

Paparazzi
Unit 4 Old River House, Templeogue, Dublin

I visited here some weeks back with a group of friends it was a Thursday night so the restaurant was not full at all but that didnt matter as there was 5 of us so we made our own atmosphere. Service was brilliant the waitress was very attentive, the food was fresh and delicious and the bill wasnt too expensive at all. We all had starters, mains, dessert, tea/coffee and fizzy drinks and I think each of us only had to pay €23 so for me that is a complete bargain. I am hoping to go back soon wih my husband.

Vermilion
94-96 Terenure Road, Dublin 6 , Terenure, Dublin

Myself and my husband visited here Friday night with a menu pages voucher, the food is amazing, service is brilliant and the atmosphere and decor are lovely. I think this is one of the more pricey restaurants in Dublin but it is well worth it the waiter was so nice and even helped the couple on the next table to choose what to eat as they didnt eat Indian food that often. Pay a visit you won't be disappointed, we will be back again.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Ate here last Friday with a friend what was supposed to be a catch up chat as I had not seen my friend in a while turned out to be a catch up shout, very noisy place to eat, far too packed, tables very close together its a huge restaurant which lacks not atmosphere. Service was good they seemed to be able to cope with the craziness that was the restaurant. Food was only okay not fresh as you would expect, I doubt you could cook fresh food for that amount of people my friend ordered the chicken piri piri which is a whole chicken it came out really fast as did my carbonara so we knew that it was not in anyway freshly cooked, her chips were burned and my carbonara had too much smoked bacon and hardly any chicken. Toilets were filthy and no sign of anyone cleaning them, a hen party was next to us and were seated so close one of the girls hair was literally hanging over my pasta practically we complained on the way out and were given and explanation but I dont think they really cared, I wont be back again.

il Divo Restaurant
2 Terenure Road East, (Above Comans), Rathgar, Dublin

This was my first time ever going to Il Divo and I loved it, we bought a menu pages deal and used it between 4 of us which was no problem to the manager he even suggested that we could have both 2 vouchers to use on the table as there was 4 of us, the food was gorgeous really tasty and fresh we were waiting a little while for the mains to arrive but that didnt matter as it was all so fresh so we knew it was cooked when we ordered. The service is brilliant all the servers are very friendly and seem happy to be working there, it was really busy the night we went you wouldnt have known that because of the efficiency of everyone, we had such a good night and on leaving where given a 25% discount off our next visit which will be soon.

Captain America's Cookhouse and Bar (Tallaght)
Unit A3 Tallaght Cross Dublin 24, Tallaght, Dublin

I ate here last Friday night with my boyfriend, what a disaster I should have gone to the new indian in Tallaght instead I've ate once before in Captain Americas and that wasnt a good experience either but I thought surely to god it cant be as bad as then but trust me it was. The food was disgusting, greasy, cold and portion size was ridiculous, the burgers were flavourless you would get better in Mc'Donalds and the noise from the students was unbearable inside and out. I pity the people living in the apartments all around it must be a nightmare for them. The service was terrible we had to ask for plates to be removed from our table and for our mains to be served. Never again !!

New Maharajah
1 Belgard Square West, Tallaght, Dublin 24, Tallaght, (next to The Square Shopping Centre Luas station), Tallaght, Dublin

This is a new restaurant that has opened in Tallaght just opposite the Luas line, the food is amazing and portion size is very good too I shared some of the food with my boyfriend, the staff are really cheerful and friendly and even gave us a starter free with our meal. We have bought the menu pages voucher and are going back in a week or two. Definately worth a visit !

Bia Bar
The Drury Court Hotel, Stephen Street Lower, City Centre South, Dublin

We bought the menu pages voucher for Bia Bar about 2 weeks ago at first I wasnt sure that I would like Tapas food so we were going to be in town Saturday afternoon so decided to use the voucher and have dinner in Bia Bar and we are delighted we did. The service is excellent it says not to mention the names of the staff but we were greeted by a lovely girl called Emily who was so friendly and efficient and when we asked her questions about food on the menu she knew all the answers, its a very relaxing place to eat we ordered a bottle of wine with the food and although the wine was a little expensive we didnt mind as we got the menu pages deal for such a little price. The food was gorgeous and it is smaller portions but I think it is just enough as both myself and my boyfriend were happily full. We could have stayed there for a few more hours but had to go as we had plans for that evening but overall I love this place and will be back I would recommend this to anyone. The menu is a bit different and that can be at first off putting but dont let that stop you as I had chicken with croutons and baby potatoes and it was fresh and delicous.

Taste of Brazil
32 Parliament St, Temple bar, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

I paid a visit to this restaurant with two friends and my fiance, it was okay food was average, service was okay although the guy could not speak much english. The toilets were filthy when we arrived but seemed to be cleaned by the time we were leaving overall it wasnt a good or a bad experience but we wont be back.

Thai Spice
3A Talbot Place, Dublin 1 , City Centre North, Dublin

Myself and my fiance ate here in January using one the deals, food is gorgeous the service was brilliant and there is a lovely relaxed atmosphere it doesnt look like much from the outside and is really small but dont be deceived its a gem on Talbot street and we will be back again.

Saagar Indian Restaurant
16 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Myself and my fiance ate here in January using a deal we bought, I wasnt very impressed the decor is old and grubby and the toilets were filthy. We were seated down the back of the restaurant and it was dark and dingy. The food was gorgeous and I cant fault it in that respect. If the restaurant was made more modern and cleaned up I would revisit it but as it stands I wont be going back.

Sawadee Thai
94 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Dublin 6w, Terenure, Dublin

Myself and my fiance had dinner here Friday booked with the menu pages voucher. The food was gorgeous, very tasty and the service was brilliant, I would have liked my food to be a little hotter temperature wise but that is only a minor thing. The waiters were all lovely and chatty and made our visit really enjoyable. The only negative is that we were seated upstairs in the restaurant where there was only one other couple so it was very quite and no atmosphere, I think all of the menu pages people were seated up there and I couldnt understand it because there was some empty tables downstairs when we arrived. However when leaving you got a card to collect a stamp each time you visited giving you a discount for the next time so that was a great idea, we will definately be back.
