I have to admit this restaurant was far removed from brannigans which used to be here, but all the same dinner was very enjoyable. The venue is now very casual and retro and will easily appeal to diners looking for an in between eating experience.Querky little ideas like the tin cup for chips or little glass bottle for milk make the dining room a very enjoyable resraurant.

Kai cafe and restaurant
20 Sea Road, Galway, Galway City, Galway

This place is always busy due to simple fact that they do everything well. Need to book in advance for any night of the week but you will not be disappointed. Even basic things like jugs of table water are flavoured !

Gourmet Tart Company
Monksfield, Salthill, Galway

Always busy but worth it when you get a seat. Great choice of coffee and pastries to compliment a good variety of main courses

Oslo Microbrewery & Gastro Bar

Lovely dining experience with rarely found de-cantered wine. Special occasion type venue but always enjoyable .

Trattoria Magnetti
12 Quay Street, Galway City, Galway

We enjoyed a lovely 2 course meal here after a sgambles in another Italian eatery. Their pizas are made with a wonderful crust and any restaurant that attracts Italian tourists in large groups on a wednesday is the place to be for the genuine med experience

Il Folletto Restaurant
Quay Street, Galway City, Galway

We sat down to our table at 7pm and by 7.40 we still had not recieved our starters.Every other table around us was served at least 1 course and alot of other diners who entered after us were being well looked after. It took the lady in charge 20 minutes to drop us down our wine and she passed our way at least a dozen times without even mentioning some excuses like 'our food is on the way'.After 40 minutes we up adn left and her so called attempt at customer service leaves an awful lot to be desired. This was our second visit to this restaurant and we will never return.POOR MANAGEMENT.

Sash
No. 1 Pery Square Hotel & Spa, Pery Square, Limerick City, Limerick

lovely size restaurant with 1 of the best wine lists i've seen. service was excellent and really an ideal venue to go with a boutique hotel.

Hamptons Grill
Henry Street, Limerick City, Limerick

we ate here on saturday night and found the food to be very good. the restaurant was busy throughout the evening but the management have poor planning when it comes to arranging various sittings. We were asked to move to the bar in the savoy nextdoor 1h 15m after we sat down due to a large party arriving and when the waitress brought our drinks to the hotel bar, there were no free seats and she left our glasses and said the barman would find us seating(which he didn't). poor management!!!

The Malt House
Old Malt Mall, High Street, Galway City, Galway

4 of us went for dinner and it was highly enjoyable. The last time I ate here(about 2 yr ago) I was very disappointed as the quality was poor. I understand the place has changed management and the level of service and food has improved no end. I would recommend the haddock for any fish lovers but overall all 4 of us were very pleased with our meal.

Busker Brownes

We visited on a quiet monday evening and the food was again excellent. Plenty of home cooking style comfort food available, needless to say we all left happy.

Eatery 120
120 Ranelagh Road, Ranelagh, Dublin

We had trouble getting a table for 6 anywhere in Ranelagh due to the snow but when we got 1 here it didn't disappoint. The good was of a very good variety and the wine list was excellent. If one is looking for a fine red for a special occasion then the margaux is one of the finest I've ever had!!

Kirby's Restaurant
Cross Street, Galway City, Galway

We have eaten here on numerous occasions and the food has always been of a very good quality. Great value to be had with the set menu deals plus lunch during the day in buskers next door always has a very nice variety

Pizza Stop
6/10 Chatham House, Chatham Lane, Off Grafton Street, City Centre South, Dublin

quite simply the tastiest pizza in Dublin.... done. Great fun to watch and listen to the fiery Italian owner and chef go head to head over delayed orders right in front of a full house!! Priceless

Alfies
10 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

we tried this one night as I'd heard so many good things about the place and I have to admit the meal I got was excellent. The seats they gave us on a very busy Friday night were a bit open to the elements but the staf managed to find alternative seating upon our request to move.

Juniors
2 Bath Avenue, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

anytime I think I fancy something of great value and informal juniors always pops up first. From the outside you'd think its only maybe a cafe but once inside the charm of the place grabs you. The food is always good with their bangers and mash being proper comfort food.

Mulberry Restaurant and Wine Bar
Unit 14 Barna Village Centre, Barna, Galway

We ate in as a group of 4 and found it to be a quite enjoyable experience. All the food was cooked to our requirements and their wine-list have a very good wide choice.

Vina Mara Restaurant
19 Middle Street, Galway City, Galway

decided to try their value menu of 3 courses and a bottle of wine for €67 and it was a most enjoyable experience. We were looking to supplement the house wine for anice chablis but unfortunately they were out of stock that day(to be expected, sunday of race week in Galway). The 3 courses were all very well presented and tasted likewise and you come away feeling like we just had great value for money.

Artisan Restaurant
No 2 Quay Street, Galway City, Galway

We have eaten a few time now in artisan and have very little to complain about. The food has always been of a very good standard and the wine list has an excellent choice. Getting a good window seat to watch the world go by also adds to an overall enjoyable experience.

Oscars Seafood Bistro (Galway)
Lower Dominic Street, Galway City, Galway

Without a shadow of a doubt the finest restaurant in Galway. The lady who runs front of house is the most polite person I've ever met and the food everytime I've been there is flawless. We have eaten there many times thru the years and I constantly recomment to people who are looking for something good.

KC Blakes Brasserie
Quay Street, Galway City, Galway

We have ate in all the nicest restaurants in Galway and this visit was the most expensive we've had in a long time. The food was just ok but the price for 2 peope having 2 courses(including wine) was well over €100. The worst part was the so called waitress we had was far from pleasant what with removing dishes while still chewing the food served on them. We have been there twice before and after this final visit we will not be returning anytime soon.
