Another excellent meal in La Banca. Easily the best restaurant in the area. 1st time in the new steakhouse was impressed. Both of our steaks were cooked perfectly as requested and the standard of the meat itself was excellent. Side Salad, chips, Onion Rings and both sauces were delicious and all finshed of with a delicious brownie for desert. Highly recomended

Madina Desi Curry Co
60 Mary Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Dropped in for Lunch and it was great, "Curry in a hurry" and a can for a tenner or so. I was given the option of mild/med/spicy and on/off bone. Curry was tasty, fresh and a huge portion. Highly recomended.

Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Tried the lunch menu recently and enjoyed it. Had the garlic muscles and then the cassoulet. Both very tasty and was good value at e13 for 2 courses at lunch time.

Di Bella Restaurant (Lucan)
Griffeen Centre, West Dublin, Lucan, Dublin

I'm local enough to here and this is a regular spot for us. I've never had any complaints. Food is always good, Pizza, Pasta or Steak have always been well cooked. Sevice is pretty good too and its quite reaonably priced. Do a resonable early bird deal however its not that cheaper than the main menu so I dont normally go for it. I've never had a bad meal and will keep returning

Wagamama's Blanchardstown
Unit 410, First Floor, Blanchardstown Retail Park 2, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I love the wagamama in Town and this of similar quality. Good, fresh, tasy food and and reasonable prices ( Lunch special is great value). It a good change from the usual eating options in The Blanchardstown Centre

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I've eaten here plenty of times and its always good. Service is normally excellent, and the place has a nice buzz about it. Lunch and Early Bird are good value and if your ordering off the full menu, get the ribs they're fantastic.

F.X. BUCKLEY Steakhouse Crow Street
2 Crow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

We had an excellent visit to FXB Temple Bar recenly. Ordered off the early bird, every thing we ordered was excellent and the service was brilliant. I had Calamari and the 10oz steak. Both cooked to perfection. The Homemade Chips were lovely too. Great value for 18 euro. Will be back

Siam Thai (Andrews Street)
14/15 Andrews Street, City Centre South, Dublin

it was my first time back here in about 4-5 years and it was pretty good. Had the early bird special whixh was 25euro for any starter and any main course ( except king prawn dishes IIRC). Food was fresh and tasty and we were not rushed out of the place either like some other early bird places. Will Definiatly be back. The Red Curry was very tasty.

Himalaya Tandoori
Unit 6, Village Centre, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

Ate here for the 1st time recently after having a few take aways. Agree with the other reviews that the food her is excellent. What we had couldnt be faulted at all. The serving staff we extremley polite. my only crticism would be it felt very rushed. We had 2 courses and a couple of drinks and we were finished in 45 mins. I know it was Christams and they were busy but i dont like it when a main arrives 2 minutes after the starter.

China House (Lucan)
7 & 8 Finnstown Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Lucan, Dublin

My local Chinese. We regularly get take aways from here and finally got around to visiting the restaurant and we were not disappointed. Food is always lovely. The service is great. I love the Singapore Noodles amongst others dishes on the menu and unlike most other Chinese we've visited around, espically one in Lucan village, the food is not laced with MSG. will visit the restaurant again and keep getting take-aways

Zings @ The Maryborough House Hotel
Maryborough Hill, Douglas, Douglas, Cork

Ate here recently in a big Group. It was very busy but the service was good the whole time. I had Red Mullet in curry type dressing to start which i was quite disappointed with. Others seemed happier with their choice however. It was the Steak and oxtail with beetroot. The streak was cooked excellently but i was dissapointed with the veg and potatoes that came with it. a decent meal but probably not worth what we paid

Kasturi Restaurant (Dublin)
Unit 3, Village Court, West Co. Dublin, Lucan, Dublin

Having read so many good reviews on here about this place i was really looking forward to eating here. I wasnt blown away though. Byriani was quite bland, the Lamb dish we had was nice enough as was the nan but nothing special, felt it was a bit pricey for a local Indian restaurnt to be honest. might get a take away again. it seemed to better value

Lemongrass (Liffey Valley)
Arc Bar, Liffey Valley Centre, West Dublin, Lucan, Dublin

Was here for a meal last night. Was decent without being great. Had the platter for 2 to start and it was quite nice. Main course was only ok. Service was very quick and it felt a bit like we were rushed a bit. I would probably eat here again at a push as its close to where I live but wouldnt rush back.

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had an excellent meal here the other day, on a night where most restaurants we passed we empty, Salamanca was packed. Service was great and prompt, food was excellent and very reasonable. The Paella was superb. Well worth a visit

Pattaya Thai and Chinese Restaurant
9th Lock Road, Nangor Road, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

Had a lunch special on sunday afternoon. started with a soup that wasnt great, followed by a nice Thai fish cake then a main and Ice Cream. Nice enough but very rushed. i suppose they are entiled to rush you for 4 courses for 12 euro

The Tower Bistro
Strand Road, Bray, Wicklow

Ate here over Christmas and it was fine. The service was quick as we were a large party. The only fault I had was that I ordered a medium sirloin where someone else at our table ordered a well done and they served us the wrong one despite both of us asking the waiting staff if they were the correct ones. Otherwise everything fine

The Lord Lucan Pub
The Finnstown Shopping Centre, Newcastle Rd, Lucan, Dublin

Have eaten here a few times, its very local to where I live. Food is decent nothing special but reasonable priced. The burger is worth checking out.

Milano (Temple Bar)
19 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Ate here recently. Pizzas were fine but nothing special, mine was quite oily. Garlic bread to start was nice. All and all nice enough pizza but nothing special. Would probably go elsewhere for a pizza next time

The Peacock Restaurant @ Finnstown Country House
Newcastle Road, West Co. Dublin, Lucan, Dublin

Ate here twice over Christmas, the Sunday lunch both times and had 2 great meals. its 31 euro for a 4 course and while its more expensive than other local places its well worth it. the food and service are great. both times i had the Chowder to start, lovely both times, roast beef one then pork the next time, both delicious. then for dessert it was sticky toffee pudding and Lemon tartlet which were great ( especially the sticky toffee ). it a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. the hotel bar has been done up a little and its nice for a beer or 2. Far nicer than the buffet type thing they used to offer on a Sunday
