Had a very pleasant meal in Russo's this evening. Arrived with a GrabOne voucher and no reservation but got a table with out any issue. The food was very tasty - each course was excellent - and the service was attentive and friendly. I will certainly return.

Got a recent deal for 2 courses for eur30 and went for a mid-week bite to eat. It was a meal of 2 halves - starter and main were really good. I'd mushrooms and himself had scallops - scallops were excellent. We both went for the same main - steak and chips and it was delicious, tasty pepper sauce and chilli onion rings. Should have stopped there really....We decided to share a dessert, chocolate & orange cake - so disappointing, one of the worst I've had out, dry and no chocolate flavour. And the coffee was a bit rubbish. The restaurant was quiet, the waitress was excellent, very chatty. We'd definitely go back, good value, super main....we'd just skip dessert next time!!

Roast
10a Merrion Rd, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

This was my second time visiting with a voucher: 6-course meal for 2 for €50...its a good deal, and it felt like good value for money. The full price menu is €50 each and I don't think I'd pay full price for it. I had the game pie and steak with apple tart for dessert. Himself had pork & prawns, steak and the crumble. The pork and prawns was an excellent starter. The steak was good - tasty sides and sauces but overall a bit too salty. Apple tart was delicious. The extra courses were a amuse bouche of mushroom soup and a tasty jelly pre-dessert. Overall, for the price of the deal you get a very good feed (as my partner said, high quality pub grub), the restaurant is nice and staff are very good. If you're thinking about getting the deal - go for it!

Hatch & Sons Irish Kitchen
The Little Museum of Dublin, 15 St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a delicious lunch here - double baked eggs, with sausage, bacon & tomato...accompanied with the best brown bread I've had in a long time. The coffee wasn't great - I'd go for a mug of tea next time...Overall I'll certainly be back. Tasty food, buzzy atmosphere, friendly efficient staff

El Bahia Moroccan Restaurant
37 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I've been here plenty of times as I love moroccan food, I've always enjoyed eating here & recommend it to others but I felt let down by our visit last night. We'd booked at 6pm as we were in town anyway. We'd a voucher ( 2 courses) but got extras, sides, drinks, coffee etc...but for some reason we were just rushed through our meal. I felt the whole evening was rushed, but in particular when we were taking a minute to finish our drinks they asked for the table back! And this was at 7.30...I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to take longer than an hour & half for dinner. Had we been advised when I booked that the table was needed back at 7.30 that would have been fine - but this was never mentioned. Also, there were empty tables...why the rush to get ours back? I was so disappointed with the evening. I love the food, music, decor etc but it'll be a while before I'll be going back... not impressed.

Vie de Chateaux
The Harbour, Naas, Kildare

Ate here for the first time last Monday. We went for the 30 euro menu, even though the specials sounded very good (but a bit pricey at 29euro each for main course). The pork for main course was beautiful - very tasty, tender and nicely seasoned. The star of the show though was definitely the desserts - apple 'tart' (not so much a tart as a ring of apple slices with some crumble over the top) and vanilla icecream was delicious. The nougat souffle was also highly praised by my companion. For 30 euro I couldn't fault the menu or the food. And given we were there on a Monday night and the restaurant was packed other people must also agree...I would certainly recommend giving it a try and I'm looking forward to going back again soon!

Chameleon Restaurant
1 Lower Fownes Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Disappointed! We went here as part of dine in dublin week following many positive reviews. It was a let down - they forgot the rice with our main dishes, none of the dishes were particularly hot, we were waiting close to 30mins for our desserts and they didn't serve the cookie with my double shot dessert and the coffee was cold. I thought the point of dine in dublin week was to encourage people to try new restaurants and to showcase the restaurant's menu, the Chameleon did not succeed with this. There was a large group there at the same time as us who ordered from the normal menu and I do believe received better service - steaming hot food and plenty of it. Maybe this is a place to try outside of their special offers and with a group of people but I won't be rushing back.
