Excellent in almost every way. The selection of food and drink was wonderful, the staff friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed. The only complaint I would have is the waiting area before being seated was uncomfortably full and I was elbowed more than once while waiting for an available table.

Picaderos Restaurant
Desmond House, Main Street, Maynooth, Kildare

Went for a girls night out....an infusion of tapas followed. Prawns, chicken skewers, patatas, paella, meatballs, chorizo, nachos, cheese and meat plate not forgetting the bread and olives everything was yummy. Service was slow, but the place was hopping and the wine was good so all forgiven. Dessert was a mix of alcohol coffees and those Spanish donuts and dipping chocolate...highly recommend the brandy coffee that needs to be stirred before drinking.

Rustic Stone
South George's Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

My favorite restaurant to date.....friend and I went last night we have visited on a few occasions and a bad word has never uttered. Starters of beef and duck sandwich and the crab incredible flavors we shared. we both went with the fillet on a stone with mushrooms felt in the mouth!!! Dessert was a Catalan style custard(cant remember the name) and a lyeece cocktail. Staff were very helpful and a fun relaxed atmosphere.

went here with my boyfriend for an early dinner....wow the food was amazing we took the recommendations of our friendly and professional waitress and an explosion of tastes followed. Highly recommend. I have scored low on the atmosphere as when we visited it was empty however it has a lovely decor.

The Orient
Main Street, Maynooth, Kildare

I have eaten in the resturant on many occasions food and staff of excellent quality, if a bit lacking in atmosphere due to the size but that too can suit occasions. However tonight I have had my third negative with their delivery service, I have received cold food previously, and let it pass, I had a delivery driver come to my door smoking and flick the butt it in my drive, i'll pick it up tomorrow, we all make mistakes, and tonight just over an hours wait for cold food, the person who I spoke to on the phone was lovely but I cant see myself ever re-ordering from here :( gona miss my favourite delivery....

KennysVesey Arms
7 Main StreetLucan, Lucan, Dublin

I have eat in Kennys on a few occasions normally for lunch when you get good value and nice food. However this week i was in twice and on both occasions I was disappointed in both the service and size portions. My girlfriend ordered a toasted sandwhich, we waited over 10 mins ( I had eaten my dinner) we went back up to enquire about the sandwhich we were told they had forgotten about her order. My shepards pie was more potatoe than beef. Earlier in the week I ordered from the main menu as carvery had closed, i ordered the chicken fajita wraps, i was very disappointed with the size for the cost €14. The meal had about 6-8 pieces of chciken, the receipe was to include peppers and onions however mine did not have any, it was only possible to fill one of the wraps with the food on the plate.

Greens Restaurant
Leopardstown Inn, Brewery Road, Leopardstown, Dublin

A group of us decided to visit Greens restaurant after a recommendation from a friend, and we were not disappointed. The staff greeted us with a smile and showed us to a table at the back in a quiet corner as we had a young child with us. All aspects of the menu were fantastic with something for everyone including the little one. The meat was top class and cooked to perfection, with side orders full of flavour. We had all been looking forward to dessert but as we had been a little greedy a coffee was all we could manage, but will know better next time, and try a little something for afters.

La Banca Ristorante
Main Street, Lucan Village, Lucan, Dublin

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant on Friday evening for the early bird couple special. €50 for a two course meal and a bottle of wine, 5-7pm including Fridays. Expecting it to be very quiet it was a wonderful surprise to enter a bustling vibrant atmosphere we were seated at the back wall and had a view of the kitchen. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the bottle of vino served perfectly chilled with a stand cooler so table space was not taken up. We had starters of a spicy chicken and goats cheese salad and bruschetta, for mains we had fish and steak, everything was presented beautifully and the food executed to perfection. This is a restaurant which realises the need to keep its repeat customers with specials which suit every budget. Also check out the bar downstairs nice spot for pre or post dinner drinks, I was even treated to a complimentary Lemon Cello.

Mohana
Main Street, Maynooth, Maynooth, Kildare

The best asset this restaurant has is the staff, they are very helpful at recommending dishes suitable to each individual taste and good for a laugh they include entertainment at the table side. As a lover of spice I was disappointed on my visit when I ordered a chilli chicken main course hot and spicy it was not. My boyfriend however was extremely impressed with his buttered chicken which they made to order.

La Maison Donatello
Unit 1 Town Centre Mall, Maynooth, Kildare

If its a true Italian your after you found it. The staff greet you with a smile, the atmosphere is warm, the tables are close together but instead of taking away from the setting it adds to it, . There is a great selection on offer and as I can be a fussy eater changes are made to the set menu to suit all tastes without fuss. My favourite starter is the anti pasta, huge portion though so make sure your hungry and pretty much everything else is fantastic I have worked my way through most of the menu and have never received a bad meal however my only fault is the desserts none have ever impressed me.

Avenue Cafe & Restaurant
Main Street, Maynooth, Kildare

I have eaten here a number of times and it is consistently good. The service is excellent with friendly helpful staff. The downstairs is warm and inviting and the outdoor area is is an excellent place to people watch. the wine selection is good but the food even better, simple menu structure but wonderfully executed.
