This is our favourite restaurant and it never fails to deliver. Came here last minute on a Saturday night and they never fail to slot us in. I had onion bajee and prawn jalfrezi. My husband had chicken pakora and Alu ghobi which is a vegetarian dish. Can't fault any of it. Waitresses are very friendly and helpful. It's just a lovely place with a lovely atmosphere. The owner always makes you feel welcome.

Cannot rate this place high enough. Food is delicious . Staff prompt but not in your face. Went on Saturday night with husband, sister in law and brother in law. They had never been and were blown away. Will definitely be back.

Sawadee Thai
94 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Dublin 6w, Terenure, Dublin

Myself and my partner visited on a Sat night at half 6 with a voucher. The place was empty except for one couple. When we arrived there was four people around the entrance desk. We were shown to a seat right beside the kitchen door so it was a bit noisy. No complaints whatsoever about the food but for the mains we weren't asked if we wanted rice or chips with it, subsequently boiled rice arrived. For the whole duration of the meal there were about 5 people hanging around the entrance desk so we felt like we were being watched the whole time. Very uncomfortable. After the main we were left waiting 20 mins until someone asked us if we wanted coffee or desserts even though they were all hanging around the desk. No very professional at all

Lovely atmosphere great craic. Had no idea this restaurant was even here and only live down the road. Very underrated. Will definitely be back with friends.

OMG Bad Bad Bad Do not visit this restaurant. We came to this restaurant myself and my husband on a sat night. It was empty when we arrived and we were allowed to pick our seats. When we were given the menus we were left with them for 20 mins. We eventually ordered and were left waiting another 20 mins for the starters which were ok I had chili and garlic praws to be honest they were like bullets, hubbie had samosa. I had the equivalent to korma (chicken) It was as dry as a bone. Who can't get chicken right?? We never got our naan bread, we couldn't wait to get out. We had to ask for the bill 3 times and they were very lucky we paid. Will NEVER be back

Siam Thai (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Myself and my boyfriend came here on sat night. The starters were lovely I had prawn and chicken cakes my bf had duck rolls which he loved. My main of thai green curry was a little on the spicy side but none the less the prawns were cooked to perfection. Very surprised about the desserts they were gorg for a thai restaurant they are normally frozen. One complaint only, the waitress kept coming over to fill our champagne glasses and had to reach over my plate of food for the glass which was very annoying.

Thunder Road Cafe
Fleet Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

This restaurant used to be amazing, however it has seriously gone down hill. I've been here before with my partner and son and when he ordered baby corn (its not on the menu anymore) for a starter, out came normal size corn cut in pieces. When he complained the manager said no one ever notices. On this occasion I came with my sister she hadn't been for a while so I indulged her. The starter of chicken strips was ok if a bit chewy. But when we got the main course of chicken fajitas we were shocked the chicken was full of grizzle. The waitress was pleasant but when the manager came over, the same manager as before. He had the nerve to say they wouldn't use fillet of chicken in them and likened it to fillet beef. I said we wouldn't expect fillet beef in a fajita but chicken fillet is so cheap. He was rude and obnoxious about the whole thing so we felt we couldn't stay. I would say to anyone to give this place a wide berth. Just because they were popular before they have become complacent. I will never be back. I agree with the person who said the food is now just average and there a plenty of nicer places to eat in Temple Bar

I know this restaurant has a great reputation but I wasn't impressed when myself and my husband visited last Saturday. First off our table was squashed up beside a rowdy table of eight. My husband loved his food but because I asked for my duck well done it came out dry. The waiting staff are lovely but too overbearing, I went to pick up our bottle of champagne to pour but I was practically pounced on by a waiter who wasn't even our server. I like to eat in peace so people hanging around over my shoulder is not my idea of peaceful. Also I found this restaurant very clique'y if they haven't seen you before your practically ignored.

This restaurant is myself and my husband's favourite. We would eat here 3 or 4 times a month. The staff are so friendly and accomodating. You get poppodoms and dips when you sit down to start off. I would also recommend the take out menu. The set menu for 1 at 13.95 is more than enough for 2 people. I promise you will not be disappointed when you visit this restaurant.
