I visited Summervilles Cafe for the first time last Sunday afternoon. What can I say, nothing other than a little gem, hidden on a back street. It was such a pleasant escape from the pouring rain.We could sniff the warm, cosy atmosphere as well as the scent of home baking from down the street! On arriving, it was difficult to avail of a free seat but after no time we occupied the window seat. This cosy spot exudes character, taking on the charm of a quaint tearoom. The staff were very friendly and helpful! We had difficulty making a food choice as the chalkboard displayed had so many tasty offerings! We decided on the rhubarb crumble, flapjacks and lattes. The words, "like my granny used to bake...", springs to mind! We left feeling v satisfied and are looking to our next trip already!Overall,Tasty wholesome cooking, v atmospheric with extremely reasonable prices;)

TRAX Brasserie
Friary Road, Naas, Kildare

Had an excellent early bird dining experience at Trax yesterday eve. The restaurant's intererior is unique and inviting, staff extremely attentive and food and wine v good. I would like to see more variety on the menu as there is a lot of meaty and heavy rich mash dishes, pasta/rice/other options would greatly benefit the choice on offer. If there were such options available I would definitely be enticed to return! Overall, excellent value and I would recommend to others!

Azzurro
Dunmore East, Dunmore East, Waterford

Really enjoyed our first visit. V quaint and high quality food. Beautiful views of the sea also. Excellent value on menu 2course and wine 21.50. We both had pasta which was so well cooked for a change. ..would prefer a little less oil in sauce next time but v tasty overall. Will be back and would recommend:)

Fallons Cafe and Bar
Main Street, Kilcullen, Kildare

Visited Fallons with a large party. The restaurant/bar is welcoming and nicely decorated. Service was prompt and friendly. However, the food was relatively bland and extremely over priced. I would return again for a drink but not dining.

Cafe Kylemore - Liffey Valley
Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Liffey Valley, Dublin

Went here for lunch last week, a really nice escape from the bustly food court and shops. Food was tasty and good value for money, staff were very friendly and attentive and setting was relaxing . A little dark inside but worth a stop off!

Ryans Food Company
Unit 8 Naas Town Centre, Naas, Kildare

Stopped off for a snack here last week and was v disappoined, quality and atmosphere have slipped. I was not impressed with" v small" snacks i.e scones and coffees at such high prices, think they need to rethink their value and standards :(

ely gastro bar
Grand Canal Square, (Next to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre), Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Visited Ely today with a friend for lunch. We have both been here before and again we were most satisfied with both service and food. Staff were v friendly, prompt and professional. There was a wide ranging and tasty menu on offer which made deciding quite difficult! Sandwiches and wine were both very satisfying. Dishes were well priced also. We will return...

Sol Bistro
Low Street, Thomastown, Kilkenny

Really enjoyed my first visit to this restaurant, food and wine were very tasty and well presented. Portions were of a reasonable size, although fishcake starter was a little on the small side! The service was very good, efficient and friendly. There was a good choice on the Early Bird menu. Prizewise reasonable. Would recommend;)

Milano (Killarney)

We had a very pleasant experience at this restaurant. The food and service were excellent and at a very reasonable price. Bruchetta, pizza and wine were simply delicious and decent sized portions too. I would highly recommend this centrally located friendly restaurant:)

Tenors Grill Room (Naas)
Fairgreen Street, Naas, Kildare

Overall, I had a pleasant dining experience here, the food was tasty and good value for money, staff were friendly and warm also. I was a little disappointed with the atmosphere; the lighting was glary and tasteful funishings were lacking, which took greatly from our visit here. We really noticed how such details add to an eaterie. Food was good but goats cheese and pepper tart was soaked in oil which reduced the quality of the dish. Service was average. house red was good! Despite low prices, I will not return, you can't beat an intimate, cosy ambience!

The Riverside Restaurant - RE OEPNED NEW NAME
Market Square, Kilcullen, Kildare

It was my first time visiting this restaurant and I was extremely satisfied with the service, food and value for money. The restaurant is located in a lovely setting and decorated plushly inside . We (party of three)selected the early bird special which was very good value and of high standard. The wine on offer was very good also.I would recommend Paul's to others and look forward to my next visit already!

Vina Mara Restaurant
19 Middle Street, Galway City, Galway

I was very satisfied after my first visit to this restaurant. Service was efficient and friendly and the premises was warm, clean and atmospheric. Above all, the food was delicious and wholesome. I ordered the baked, stuffed mussels to start and the baked pesto stuffed chicken with gratin for mains...both dishes were very well presented, decent sized portions and tasted divine! Regarding value for money, it was especially good...2courses with a glass of wine for 24 euro...outstanding value for top quality service and food and wine!Am looking forward to my next visit already;)

The Huntsman Inn
College Road, Galway City, Galway

I have eaten here many times before and both service and food were excellent. However, I was extremely dissatisfied after my visit today. Firstly, on visiting the loo, there was an absence of toilet roll? and two of the hand basins were out of order. Regarding service or should I say "lack of", we were left waiting 15-20mins and had to ask for our order to be taken. We requested tea with our order but it did not arrive and neither did the side order which I requested. My friend ordered a pasta dish but had to request parmasan cheese and black pepper. both items were eventually brought (by the supervisor!)and simply left on the table, without being attended to. Regarding value for money, the recession has had no bearing on meal prices...overpriced pub grub:( I will not be returning.

Keogh's Cafe
1-2 Trinity Street, City Centre South, Dublin

This cafe has a bustling, cheerful amosphere and food is wonderfully presented. However, today I was quite disappointed with value for money...I ordered a brown raisin and cinnamon scone at a price of 2.50(as opposed to take away price of 1.80), I was quite taken aback with been asked to pay 35c extra for a hartley's portion of jam. I would have thought out of good grace that a jam portion would be complementary like any other cafes I've aquainted? The scone was overcooked and very dry with too much cinnamon powder. Also the staff hovered a lot, whipping plates and cups from under customers brows...not the most relaxing cuppa I've had!

Douglas & Kaldi Terrace Cafe and Restaurant
Level 2, Dundrum Town Centre, Dundrum, Dublin

I was very impressed with this atmopheric cafe in Dundrum Town Centre. We sat by the window overlooking the terrace. On entering, the cafe is very decieving..at first appearing quite small and dark. However, it is quite substantial in size and very bright and cheerful. We we attended to immediately and through out by a very helpful and friendly waiting staff. We felt like some light dishes on this visit. I had a brown scone and latte and my friend had a toasted cream cheese bagel and coffee. Both of us enjoyed our delicious food and coffees. However the scone was a rather small that the average, which was a little disappointing...especially when it tasted so good! Regarding value for money, we were happy to see speciality coffees at lower prices than many cafes and coffee houses and the food was good value too.

Toscana (Dun Laoghaire)
5 Windsor Terrace, South Co. Dublin , Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

My friend and I visited this restaurant last night. We had a a very pleasant experience. We were seated upstairs where the view of the pier was spectacular, We had house salad to start, which was full of fresh plump salad ingredients and came in a decent portion. My friend thoroughly enjoyed athe pizza option and I had a very tasty penne arrabiata for mains. The beer was good in an ice-frosted glass!!and the house red was good quality and fruity. We were very satisfied with the value and service, however it was evident that the waitress wanted us to vacate rather quickly once our meals were completed:( Overall, we were very satisfied:)
