This is the first time i've been here and i cant wait to go back. Myself and 2 friends dropped in for a late lunch last Thursday. It was very quite but thats to be expected for that time in the afternoon. The food was great, I had the soup and it was the nicest i've ever had. Seriously good stuff. The others had the platters which had loads of stuff for the price they paid. Now i'm just waiting for an excuse to go back!

Westgate Design Restaurant
22a North Main Street, Wexford Town, Wexford

I used to love this place for lunch or afternoon break, not any more. All the cold salads were in big messy containers behind the counter so any side salad you ordered was mixed with bits and pieces from its neighbours. Staff were abrupt, it took ages to get the hot part of our meal, the server walked past us twice depsite us waving from out seats. Expensive for what it is. Not good.

Fat Freddys
The Halls, Quay Street, Galway City, Galway

Pricey but decent. 3 of us went to lunch there one sunday on the recommendation of a Galway friend. The meal itself was pretty good. We shared a starter of antipasto, then had a small pizza and a desert each. The food was nice but nothing exceptional. With 2 beers, a glass of wine and 2 minerals the bill came to nearly €100! For lunch! So pretty expensive for pizza. And we found the service to be pretty bleak, once the food was infront of you it was very difficult to get attention.

Pizza Stop
6/10 Chatham House, Chatham Lane, Off Grafton Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I love this little place. I took my Mum here one evening and we were well impressed. Okay its small and the tables are VERY tightly packed but given how busy the place was the service was fantastic. Mum had marinated chicken with garlic bread which was heavenly. Plenty of garlic and really beautifully flavoured moist chicken. My arrabiata was the best I've ever had, hot and spicy, full of flavour without being over powering. Dessert is usually my favourite part of the meal but the mains were heavenly! We both had desert and again it was great, death by chocolate and the almond and pear tart....mmmmmmmm. 5 stars all the way.

Juice Vegetarian Restaurant
9 Castle House, South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Not great. A group of us from work decided to drop in for lunch last week and boy were we disappointed. We went for the lunch time special. While the menu sounded good it didnt come out that way. There was nothing great about any of the dishes, most of them were very bland both taste and presentation wise. Our orders were mixed up repeatedly and the staff were none to friendly. It's not an place we'll be visiting again

Boulevard Cafe
27 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

A firm favourite. I've been a frequent visitor here over the years and I always leave happy. The starter and main lunch for about €15 is great value. The food is inventive and well presented. The ingredients are freash and expertly cooked. And the desserts are to die for.......mmmmmmm. The staff are exceptionally friendly, even during busy periods and the speed of service is usually pretty good. And the best thing about the place is the rapidly changing menu. Rarely have I seen the same dishes twice in a short period of time. I love trying new dishes in a place where I know the food will be good no matter what I order. Really recommended.

Casa Pasta (Clontarf)
55 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

Wouldn't go back again. The last time I was at this restaurant really put me off going back there again. The waitress was surly and got our orders wrong. When this was pointed out to her she became even more unpleasent and ignored us for the rest of the meal! The food in general was good, the sauces were rich and full of flavour but the dessert was awful. We ordered an ice-cream sundae and when it arrived it consisted of one small scoop of ice-cream covered in a mountain of cream. Very unimpressed.

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

An unpleasent experience. A group of us ate here for a friends birthday and we were extremely disappointed. Given that the food was on the expensive side for what it is (burgers etc..) we expected the food to be worth it. How wrong we were. I ordered a pasta dish which had been consisted of overcooked pasta and a watery tomato sauce, which tasted like cheap ketchup. Other people that got burgers were not impressed either, some of the comment were "cold", "rubbery" and "like something out of a dodgy chip van, only bigger". The only upside were the cocktails but even these were expensive and unimpressive. Definite thumbs down.

Thai Spice
3A Talbot Place, Dublin 1 , City Centre North, Dublin

I love this place. It's a fantastic restaurant for lunch or dinner. The menu definitely requires repeat visits!! There is a great range of exotic and "normal" dishes that are all cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is lovely and both the staff and service are spot-on. The only down side is the dessert menu which is a let down compared to the rest of the menu. However it is great value for money, provides huge portions and makes a a great lunch/dinner venue whatever the number of people
