The Goblet
Malahide Road, Artane, Dublin

Restaurant is lovely but the menu needs updating, food is too heavy even though it is cooked to perfection, menu needs to include a nice pasta or rice dish. But great value. Staff are very friendly.

Buenos Aires Grill
Unit 2 Castle Way, Golden Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

My favourite restaurant, the steaks are amazing and the staff are lovely. Great for parking too. Sunday lunch is excellent, love sitting by the window and watching the world go by.

New Emperor Chinese
18 May Park, Malahide Road, North Dublin, Donnycarney, Dublin

I used a voucher for Sunday lunch but was treated as though we were on a cheap deal, even though it worked out the same price as the lunch menu. Love the food but staff need to learn basic manners and stop arguing in front if customers. My partner was mortified and couldn\'t relax. If rather have paid normal price than to be embarrassed like that. They obviously don\'t want voucher customers

Sunday lunch is fab value here. e12 for 2 courses. Had calamari for starter was a bit rubbery but still nice. Partner had prawns very nice. He had steak which he loved. I ordered paella but they got the order wrong and it didn't come out until after my partners dish had been cleared. They did offer us desserts on the house to compensate but it was disappointing. The food is lovely though so i would give it another try.

That's Amore - Malahide
12 Townyard Lane, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Went on Sat with another couple using vouchers. It was lively and busy. Two of our party had antipasti for starter and it was really lovely. I ordered garlic mushrooms and unfortunately they came out burnt! The mains were lovely though. 2 of us had lamb chops, one had pasta and one of the party had steak. All agreed there was plenty of food and lovely tastes. Sticky toffee pudding tasted like carrot cake. Overall though it was a lovely evening, staff were very friendly and service was excellent. So aside from the burnt starter, i would go again. House wine was really good too.

Went on Thursday with a voucher which cost 20e for 40e worth of food. The place is lovely, the food unbelievable. I had duck parfait and chicken. Amazing. My partner had crab for starter and fillet steak. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, best meal in a long time. Very expensive though. Our bill was 85e for 2 starters, 2 mains and a bottle of wine. Too expensive in these times i think. Worth it though for a special occasion.

Dhanshiri
Unit 1B (First Floor), 25G Malahide Road, Artane, Artane, Dublin

We dined her on Saturday night on a Menupages deal. Included was started, mains and glass of wine. Service wasn't great, there was six tables and 2 waiters. The waiters are really friendly but not experienced. No drink was offered until after the order was taken, tables hadn't been cleared from earlier sittings. They were like headless chickens, but couldn't fault their energy! The food is lovely, the menu has too much choice on it and is overpriced. Wouldn't pay full price but would go back. They seem to be very busy on the takeway side so maybe this was the cause of the delay in service.

Swiss Cottage
Swords Rd, Santry, Santry, Dublin

Went her on a Monday at 5.30pm and the place was empty, we were the only ones in the restaurant. The food is lovely, great flavours. I had pasta and it was delicious and my husband had steak which he loved except it only came with chips and no garnish or veg which was strange. Desserts and coffee were excellent too. Pity about the decor, it feels like your in a seating area within a nightclub - strange set up but excellent chef, made us feel very welcome.

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Very slow service. Everyone in the restaurant was complaining, they didn't have enough staff on. The pasta sauce on my carabonara was sticky and only warm. My partners dish was much also lukewarm. Lovely breads and dips though. Wouldn't go back on a weekend night. Singer was earpiercingly loud and we had to go downstairs to pay as the staff kept disappearing. Have been for lunch and it is much better when its quieter.

Mitsuba Japanese Restaurant
154 Parnell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Went here for my birthday. Food fantastic, menu too big though, ages filtering through it. Ended up having the special for 2 because we didn't know what to have. Food was lovely, very different, loved the flavours. The place has a great atmosphere but lacking in space. Very cramped and I had that they had no tablecloths or placemats. Overall I will go back, very promising.

Washerwomans Hill
60 Glasnevin Hill, Glasnevin, Glasnevin, Dublin

Went here with my friend for a xmas catch up. Bought voucher which incl mains. Side, cocktail plus a voucher for lunch in Canters Rest, Fairview to be used after Xmas. The food was great, I had seabass and my friend had chicken, both came with lots of veg and chips. The food was plentiful and the atmosphere is very cosy. Unfortunately the restaurant was very cold but that is honestly the ony complaint. Will definitely be back. Incredible value with the voucher, it cost e36.

Carlo's Restaurant
63-64 O'Connell Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Went today with our voucher for lunch. 13e for two of us, unbelievable value. I had garlic bread with tomatoes, my husband had plain garlic bread, both nicely presented and tasted fine. For mains, I had vegetarian stirfry with noodles and my husband had chicken in mushroom sauce with chunky chips. It didn't look great but he said it tasted lovely, chips underdone though. My noodle dish was excellent. Had coffee and a glass of wine, hubby had 2 pints of beer. Service was really friendly and prompt. Couldn't fault it at all. The bill was 15e on top of the voucher. Will be back for sure. One to look out for

New Hin Keng
25G Malahide Road, Artane, Artane, Dublin

I can honestly say I have found my favourite Chinese Restaurant in Dublin. This was my first visit and I was really impressed by the service and the food. The place is rather grotty when you enter and the stairs up to it need a good hoovering but once you enter the restaurant upstairs its fine. There was a great atmosphere and was fully booked for a Thursday night which speaks for itself in todays climate. We had combination starters which were cooked crispy and delicious. The crispy chicken was perfectly cooked for mains and my partner had satay which he really enjoyed. A bit pricey but worth it. Will definitely go back.

OKA Restaurant
Northwood Demense, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin

Was there on Sat night with a couple of friends. I have to say I think the service is fab. The waiters were so attentive. We ordered a combination starter for 3 and it was perfect. We had Thai green curry - to die for. Also the Lemongrass chicken was superb. We had coffee on the terrace and they ordered us a taxi home. Great service, Great food. Will definitely be back.
