Had the monkfish here at a wedding as a guest - simply amazing. The starter was black pudding which was a delight. Both dishes were top restaurant quality and you could not fault the service. I recommend it highly as a venue for a small to medium size wedding.

Avoca Cafe (Suffolk Street)
Avoca, 11 Suffolk Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Brunch here is always a buzz and full of happy customers so it's a pleasure to visit. Herbed wild mushrooms on toast are to die for. A regular visitor here.

The Revolution
10 Terenure Road E, Rathgar, Rathgar, Dublin

Happily surprised to find that they have extended the place slightly to accomodate for more diners and it works very well. We on the other hand (this time) drove the 5.2 km to collect our food it is that tasty. Parmesan fries with fish tacos and a margherita pizza, simply the best.

Bank Holiday weekend spent Sunday afternoon here at our favourite table with a clatter of friends. Had the ‘The Spinicali’ Mexican which was delicious and filling. Love the range of IPA's on tap. I keep coming back here.

Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 , Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Can't go wrong here with the place. Brunch consisted of Mexicalos for moi and french toast for herself, delicious and served very promptly. Worth the slight wait.

Cleaver East By Oliver Dunne
6-8 East Essex Street, , Temple Bar, Dublin 2 , Temple Bar, Dublin

Very impressed with the menu here and they have added more of a variation which always delights. All six of us were raving about the food at the end of the night. The curried crab was delicious and the pork belly exactly as I liked it. Well recommended.

Mak at D6
Fields Terrace, Charleston Rd, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Great place full stop. The very best dim sum I have eaten in a long while. Also ordered a black bean beef take away recently and the beef was melt in there mouth beautiful. Not much more to add.

Unit G1, Building 12, Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

One word, chicken katsu and that is why I come here again and again. The starters of ebi katsu and gyoza were very tasty. Love the consistently good food and the generous space allocated for seating. The fact that they serve orchard thieves cider is also a big plus.

Baileys Brasserie at the Clanard Court Hotel
Clanard Court Hotel, Dublin Road, Athy, Kildare

Very impressed with my meal here last weekend. Had the 24 hour beef blade with chorizo gravy which was sumptuous. The carrot mash was a tad overdone but the new potatoes were delicious and sweet which complemented the gravy wonderfully. Will be back.

Jacks Bar & Dining Area @ Killashee House Hotel
Killashee, Naas, Kildare

It has come on a good bit since we at here last (two years ago) but I was very satisfied with my fish and chips and my companions laksa was made well and true to form. Onwards and upwards for this place.

What more can I say. You have to queue to be served and this is an accepted fact when you get to visit such a little gem. We keep coming back and this says everything.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food here on Saturday night. Starters were delivered by asking who ordered what - needs tidying up in this department. My pork belly starter however was delicious with monkfish main slightly tough but very tasty otherwise. Both were suggested by the waiter. My companions were satisfied with their choices and there was a real buzz about the place. Will be back.

Was in here last Friday and had a delicious meal served well and I was impressed as it was my first time for dinner in here. Well recommended.

Pearl Brasserie
20 Merrion Street Upper, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

What more can I say. Had lunch here today and the food was delicious. I had the burnt mackerel as a starter which was superb and the skate was cooked to perfection. My partner had the gnocchi which was light and flavoursome and we washed it down with the excellent "Odfjell", Ancla, Merlot. Can anyone else make a vanilla custard brûlée taste so creamy? - they would be challenged. Will be back soon.

The Exchequer
3-5 Exchequer Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Went there with the gang for Sunday brunch. The food (as usual) was delicious. The beef was cooked to perfection and the chestnut stuffing and gravy was out of this world. I think they were unfortunately understaffed this occasion.

Locks Brasserie
No. 1 Windsor Terrace, South Dublin, Portobello, Dublin

Went there for a double birthday as we had been meaning to do so since they achieved a Michelin Star (a good while back). We had a great experience, the early Market menu was delicious and very affordable and the wine selection very thoughtful - we had the delightful Ribero. Service was also exquisite. Will be back for sure.

Gotham Cafe
8 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Great food and value for its location. Tried the fish cakes instead of the usually delicious pizza main and they were extremely tasty. The salad alongside the cakes was perfectly seasoned. Service was very prompt but would appreciate one person per service.

Mulberry Garden
Mulberry Lane, (directly behind the Bang & Olufsen Store), Dublin 4, Donnybrook, Dublin

Let me start with an aptly titled heading 'A Hidden Away Little Gem' Much like Antibe's 'Le Figuier de Saint Esprit' this eight month old hidden away gem of a place simply captivated all my senses last night. Brought there by my girlfriend as a birthday pressie I was simply blown away by the seasonal honesty of the food, the ambient light, simple and adequate decor, service with a real smile and range and age of customers eating there. It was fun. It was also Mitchelin Star quality food at a affordable price - portions that delighted with superb taste alongside each colourful plate. The visionary 'take ' on the soup and sandwich was light, packed with flavour and taste. My venison was cooked to perfection and excellently decorated with seasonal veg that melted in the mouth but were not overcooked. It is not very often I see a chef so relaxed (obviously having well prepared his dishes) and passionate about his food and choice of suppliers. We are going back with out a shadow of a doubt. Enough said.....

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Been a while since I was here and it is always great to be welcome at 23:00 in the evening to sit in a packed restaurant and be served wholesome food by staff who have been there for many moons. The New York cheesecake was delicious and we were amongst the last to leave. A few popular eatieries might take notes regarding this place, particularly a place that offers food/service and prices akin to what is needed in these times. Will be back.......

Wrights Anglers Rest
Strawberry Beds, West Dublin, Dublin 20, Chapelizod, Dublin

I like this place and more since they brightened it up a while back. It has excellent decor and the tables are well spaced out. Had the Cajun Mackerel which was tasty and meaty just as an oily fish should be. The club sandwich was just the right size for my partner and easy to manage not to mention delicious. Service was very prompt and informative. The pint of Guinness was perfect (slightly biased as we were just back from holidays). Desert was cheesecake which was good although I cannot see why the "baked" variety cannot be more available for restaurants not just this one.

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Was here with a party of eight on a Saturday night and have to say all were very happy with the range of food on offer and the fact that vegetarians are catered for happily. Service was smart and efficient. One point to make regarding the cafe (On ground floor) is that it gets chaotic on a Saturday or a busy day. Food should be served to tables placed away from the counter as there have been regular mix ups with the orders. This place will be a regular of mine for a while to go otherwise.

DIG IN
19 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Been to this place three times now and have to say has satisfied me well each time (see star ratings). The cocktails are fantastic, contain alcohol and the food is varied enough to excite the palatte. Yes you are squeezed in and close to each other but this is as a result of greedy landlords charging idiotic rent for business. A real success in these times when most restaurants have still not got over themselves regarding the last few years through overcharging and/or poor service. I will be back for more. 101 reviews for this place tell the real tale of these recent moronic times. Even the elite are starting to ask for better service which says it all.

Mullingar House
Mullingar Terrace, Chapelizod, Dublin

Had the cajun salmon (Overcooked) there recently alongside a salad so miserable it was an affront to charge approximately 14 euros for it. The chicken wrap was loaded with a mayonnaise sauce no doubt loaded with carbs. Not impressed overall so wont be going back again.

Ate in this café today and was impessed with the mood, food, decor and service. A little gem in a busy town.

Thai Garden Restaurant (Galway)
Unit 2 Portmore Spanish Arch, Galway City, Galway

Ate here on Saturday night and was not overly impressed with the food. To start they ushered away a couple of students sitting down drinking outside the window of the restaurant (why not place frosted glass on the lower half of the window?). The starter of rolls were stale and doughey and a tad tasteless. The main course of battered fish in a sweet sour and salty sauce was supposed to be snapper but was probably cod (and a smoked version of it I detected with certain pieces). Never order fish on a Monday was the old tune but seems stand with my dish. I have to admit that the place was full when leaving but wonder if it was just a bad night for the chef(s), or whether non popular dishes are being thrown at customers who willingly accept. I would think twice about eating here again accepting that they do not put any MSG in their dishes.

China Garden (Meath)
Brews Hill, Navan, Meath

Have you tried the filet beef with pepper or the fillet beef black bean sauce?. The best in Ireland by far. I travel to Navan for a meal in this restaurant as it is so good. Bit pricey but worth the travel.

Good food and friendly service. Vegetables a bit overcooked but generally happy enough with overall meal.

101 Talbot
Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Was there for my girlfriend’s birthday last night. Wonderful is the only way to describe the whole meal. The food was served up practically and the portions were enough to satisfy those with a good appetite. I love the fact that the food is not dickied up and arranged to look like a piece of art all but missing its main requirement, i.e. to satisfy the taste buds. A three course meal, bottle of 26 euro wine, gin and tonic, pint of Guinness, and baileys coffee all came to €103. The volume of customers in the restaurant said it all. The service was excellent.
