We popped in here for lunch on the way to a rugby international. There is a lovely atmosphere and I had the nicest French onion soup I have ever tasted anywhere. Will be returning and bringing my family with me!

Had celebrated a major birthday here about three years ago when we had a lovely evening with sixteen guests. We saw recently that they had opened a new "Loft Bistro" and so decided to pay a nostalgic return visit. We arrived on time, however it was twenty five minutes before we were shown to our table. Our first course arrived without incident and we were happy with what we ordered. Our mains should have been a lamb shank, and a surf and turf, however the turf arrived without the surf and had the wrong sauce. This was pointed out to the waitress who said she would return with the prawns. After a few minutes with no prawns forthcoming we attracted the attention of the Maitre d who apologised and took it away. He did offer to take both but we assumed that the other main course would be returned promptly so we held on to the lamb. The surf and turf was returned again with the wrong sauce and was sent back again and returned a third time, this time correctly, but by this time we had both eaten the lamb and were unwilling to accept such tardy service so we told them to take it away. This was now an hour and fifteen minutes after the time we had booked the table We were told that we would not be charged for this and they told us that they would give us a voucher, for a return visit. This voucher was for twenty euro with a condition that it be used by the end of November, which we feel is an insult after such a disappointing evening. They requested that we pay for the remainder of the meal which we did, but feel in hind sight that we should not have! We have written to them to return the voucher as we have no wish to return. All in all, a very disappointing evening.

Have been here many many times and we keep returning, draw back each time by the memories of our previous visit. Last night was no different. The service, the food, the atmosphere, all faultless. The food is unlike any other Indian restaurant around. We will return again and again.

Disappointing meal here last night. We booked a table for the family to celebrate a birthday. It was a cold night and our table was beside the door so every time it opened we were hit with a freezing cold breeze. The staff did their best to minimise it but it wasn't pleasant. Most of the food was ok except for my mussels. The first time they brought them out they were only luke warm. They were piled high in a big dish so there was no access to the sauce. They brought me a second batch and while these were hot, there was no sauce so rather unappetising and by this stage I had nibbled on the chips and so wasn't hungry any more. They took them off the bill.

Disappointing meal here last Saturday. We ordered smokies and muscles for starters. Felt the smokies weren't as good as I have had in other places, the muscles were overcooked, many of them quite shrivelled and the sauce was very thick, I would have preferred a lighter sauce. For mains we had the sole which was good but served up on its own on a plate, it looked a bit rough, like it had been plonked. no garnish. As a second main we had a crab gratin which was only warm and had to be sent back. Veg and sides are extra which makes things expensive. Service was polite and pleasant and they served port on the house because of the crab. Not sure I would return.
