I booked my meal with a voucher so I was a little wary going in as to if we would receive a top quality meal. I didn't have to worry at all. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the foie gras to start and the pork belly for the main. Both were beautifully presented. The only fault I had was with the foie gras which was a little tasteless. Still yummy though! The pork melted in my mouth and there was a beautiful strip of crackling on top. My sisters had the chicken salad and the prawns to start and one had steak while the other also had the pork belly. They enjoyed their food as much as I enjoyed mine. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Whytes of Stamullen
Stamullen Village, Stamullin, Meath

I went here after hearing some good things from friends and I can say that I wasn't disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the duck poppadom for starters and the ham hock for mains. The starter was lovely but I found the poppadom itself too hard. This is probably due to the fact that they roast them. They are cooked properly it's just I prefer the crispiness of a fried poppadom. The ham was so good especially the sauce that came with it. It was lovely, rich, and creamy. The ham fell off the bone and was gorgeously sticky. The only downside is that I was too full for desert! Definitely recommend this place.

Searsons of Baggot Street
42-44 Upper Baggot Street, Baggot Street, Dublin

I went here for lunch a couple of times with my workmates. The food is always nice and there's always a good choice. The last time I was here I had a low fat chicken tikka wrap which was lovely. It didn't taste low-fat! I would recommend this place as a great place to lunch but that's it.

Madigans Bar
19 O'Connell Street, O'Connell St, Dublin

I went here for a quick bite to eat with my boyfriend and our 18 month old before he went to a football match with his brother. This is a real touristy place. There were a couple of locals. If I wasn't with my bf I don't think I would come in here tbh. We got a table and placed our order, 1 Chicken burger with whiskey mayo and 1 beef and Guinness pie. The burger was lovely but the pie was a bit of a let down. The crust was kind of stale tasting. The waitress was lovely and made sure the baby was looked after. She brought paper and crayons for her to scribble with and a plate of veg for her to eat. Over all it was good for what it was but I don't think I'll be back.

Madina Desi Curry Co
60 Mary Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Wow I can't believe the amount of good reviews for this place. It's mediocre at best. Portions are large and cheap but nothing spectacular. The dosas are nice but everything else is quite unexciting. The service in this place is also awful. The few times I've been here I have had to constantly remind the waitress about something I asked for 10 - 15 minutes before. I've been to India a few times and I know a few Indians and the general consensus is that the food here may be authentic but that does not mean it's good. OK at best.

McHugh’s Wine & Dine Restaurant
59 St. Assam's Park, Dublin 5, Raheny, Dublin

I visited this place on Paddy's day last and even though I didn't have a booking the owner went out of her way to get us a table. We were seated after 10 mins of waiting. The place was packed and there was a buzz in the air. The bread they give you at the table is lovely as is the olive oil dip. I wasn't crazy about the starters we got. I had a mushroom stuffed with cheese and my OH had the chicken wings. The wings were just regular wings with Franks hot sauce or they tasted like it anyway. The mushroom was ok. The mains however were gorgeous. I had the burger with chunky chips and he had pan fried chicken which was to die for. The wine list in this place is great. I'd recommend this place for the wine alone.

The Mint Cottage
2A Main Street, Raheny, Dublin

What can I say about this place only that it's probably the nicest restaurant I've been to in a long time. From the service to the atmosphere to the food, everything was excellent. I have absolutely no complaints about the place. Gorgeous Pakistani cuisine (not Indian) Highly recommended.

Taco Taco
Unit 19 Epicurean Food Hall, Liffey Street Lower, City Centre North, Dublin

I usually enjoy the food here but this time I found it very dry and kind of processed tasting. I ordered the chicken enchilada, my sis ordered the chicken fajitas and my boyfriend ordered the chicken burrito(they had no beef which was what he wanted). Maybe it was because it was late in the day but it just wasn't up to it's usual standards. I will go back again just to make sure it was a one off!

Itsa @ Arnotts (Bagel Store)
Arnotts, Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

`This place never fails to disappoint. I always come in here for a quick bite to eat when I'm out shopping. The coffee is lovely and the chocolate brownie is to die for! Good for when you're on the go.

Gotham Cafe
8 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This place is great. The food was absolutely delish. I had the chicken on ciabatta. The basil and creme fraiche on it was lovely! We had a bottle of Sauvingnon Blanc and it was one of the nicest I've had in a long time. The only bad thing I could say about it was that it was a little cramped. Over all though I would definitely come back. I'd even recommend it to friends.

Il Fornaio (Raheny)
55 Kilbarrack Road, Dublin 5, Raheny, Dublin

Over priced bland food. I have to agree with the other reviews. I used to walk by this place and think I'd love to go there some time. There are loads of cakes in the window and the bar looks nice but there's no atmosphere in there. The tables and chairs feel would be more at home in a fast food restaurant. I won't be running back. Extremely disappointed.

Been here a few times. There is a huge selection of food although nothing that would blow you away. It's good value for money but that's about it.

China Castle
58/59 Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

The Good: excellent value for money, good variety. The Bad: no atmosphere, no service to speak of, some very undesirable clientele ( there was one bloke who had no shirt on) Not a snob but come on, manners!!!

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

What can I say, this place was great!! I went with my boyfriend the night of the Take That concert and the restaurant was packed with women going there. Needless to say he loved it! Even with so many people there the service was still quick and the food was delicious! Definitley recommended:)

Alfies
10 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here for a work outing two weeks ago. The food was lovely. I had the medallions of beef and they were very tender. The wine was fab. The atmosphere wasn't the best, there was no music in the background and there was no mirror in the upstairs ladies toilet or toilet roll for that matter. Upon enquiring however we found out it was only their second night open so we overlooked those small things. The decor of the restaurant is lovely. V. modern. The staff were very friendly and didn't even mind when we all started singing at the tops of our lungs:) I would definitely go here again.

Dobbins Restaurant
15 Stephen Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here just before christmas for my work x-mas party. The food was very nice. I had the avocado and asparagus salad with roquefort to start. It was just what you want in a starter not too big and not too filling and it tasted lovely. I had the grilled sole for my main with veggies on the side. The fish didn't blow me away. It was alright. Everyone else's mains looked and smelled nicer! I had a pina colada parfait for dessert and this was gorgeous. Actually I tried everyone's dessert at the table and all were lovely! Would love to come here again!

Paparazzi
Unit 4 Old River House, Templeogue, Dublin

Went here for a party two weeks ago. Atmosphere was great. Played Gypsy Kings and quite a few people got up to dance! It was brill! The food was alright not top of the range but was passable. I had suppli to start and this was quite a generous portion if a little bland. I had vegetarian pizza for my main but be warned,it comes with pineapple, something I didn't realise until after i was served! Overall average restaurant, won't be running back.

Dante (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Went here on Saturday night. Restaurant itself seriously lacking in atmosphere. There were some nice touches however like the complimentary nuts and olives on arrival. I had the Cashel stuffed mushrooms to start and they were lovely but my main of aubergine was very tasteless. The Italian fries were just fries but were nice for what they were. My boyf had the arrabiata for his main and found it delicious, one of the best he's had in Dublin. Overall it was ok but I won't be running back.
