Love this restaurant. Excellent Italian wines. The seafood or pumpkin ravioli is delicious. Staff very friendly and also very attentive to our kids. Service can be a little slow at times but it adds to the charm and helps one imagine they are having a meal on holiday abroad on the continent (except for the grey skies outside). Make sure to book beforehand for dinner as, even with the new extension, it is still quite small.

Had our Christmas work dinner here in mid-December. The food was very nice when it eventually arrived! However I would not go back here as part of a large group. We were left waiting over an hour and ten minutes before we eventually got to order our dinner! There was no Christmas music playing and I can't remember any X-mas decorations either. But the food was good and portions quite generous (none of us finished our yummy desserts). The vegetarian option for my main course was melt in the mouth and very tasty. Might try this restaurant again as part of a smaller group, but definitely not at Christmas time!

Cafe Moda
192 Lower Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin

Have eaten here on numerous occasions. Agree with other posters the food has gone downhill a lot. They seem to specialise now in burnt bagels (which aren't particularly fresh either!).However the coffee and desserts are still nice, and generous in size too.

Juice Vegetarian Restaurant
9 Castle House, South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Have been here for dinner a few times now and always been impressed. The organic red wine is delicious and doesn't even give you a hangover (lack of tannins supposedly!). I would definitely recommend the Mediterranean platter for starter and the terrine for main course. Even if you eat meat, like I and my husband do, you won't miss the meat. Always very lively and busy anytime we've been here but you don't feel rushed by the friendly staff at all.
