My boyfriend and I have been here many times, and have pretty much eaten our way through the menu. Everything we've tried has tasted great (and we've eaten in a LOT of Indian and Thai restaurants). We sometimes use vouchers like LivingSocial, and sometimes not but are always treated the same. The staff are lovely and attentive and the decor is so pretty and relaxing. The prices are really reasonable and they even have an earlybird offer of around €23 for three courses and a glass of wine, so you can't go wrong! Come, relax, enjoy, and then go for a stroll on the Prom around the corner.

Four friends and I ate in Cedar Tree recently. I'm afraid none of us were satisfied by the quality of the food. The starters we ordered included baba ghanoush and halloumi, both of which were rather bland. My main course was the Fatayer, which was a very small portion with a side salad of just radish and tomato, with mint leaves..So to sum up, bland (especially the vegetarian options) and quite expensive for what we got. I won't be going back. The staff were very nice though!

Govindas Restaurant (Abbey Street)
83 Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I eat here all the time when I'm on the north side of town. The portions are huge, and I've liked everything I've ever ordered. Their moussaka is especially tasty! There isnt much of an atmosphere, but they're more in the 'cheap and cheerful' category. The staff are definitely always friendly!
