The Brasserie @ Leopardstown
Bewley's Hotel Leopardstown, Central Park , Leopardstown, Dublin

Enjoyed an Anniversary dinner with my wife and two of our children. The service was excellent and staff very friendly. However, the main course of pork belly which was had by two of the party wasn't particularly nice as it had a lot of extra fat on it. Otherwise we had an excellent evening

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill
51 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Visited here with some friends last Friday.Had the early bird menu. Started with Ham and Pate which was enjoyable. For mains 3 of us had the Beef Bourginon which was delicious Unfortunately the 4th member of our party had the Salmon fish cake which was not the best and seemed to have more breadcrumbs than Salmon. The restaurant was very busy and quiet noisy and we had to almost shout at each other to be heard.

The Blackboard Bistro
The Basement, 4 Clare Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Made a booking for the Early Bird and was surprised that we were the only party in the restaurant when we arrived at 6pm. We were a party of 4 and 2 had the starter of Goats cheese which was delicious. For the main course 2 of us had the Gigot d’agneau roti:Roast Haunch of Wicklow Lamb served with petite Ratatouille, Basil Mash and Rosemary Jus which was delicious and 2 had the Grilled Fillet of seatrout served with wilted Baby Spinach, Baby Potato drizzled with Extra virgin Olive oil, Lemon juice, Tomato and fresh Dill which was very enjoyable. We finished off with a Lemon Sorbet which refreshed the taste buds and the Orange creme brule. Overall a truly enjoyable evening. The only complaint I had is that on the Menu Pages site the Early Bird was advertised at €22.00 and the actual price in the restaurant was €25.00

Whitefriar Grill

Visited here with 3 friends for the early bird special. Started off with the deviled lamb kidneys, bbq baby back ribs and soup. The kidneys were adorable and the back ribs fantastic, also the soup was perfect. For Mains all 4 of us had the Southern Style slow roasted pulled pork. This was absolutely delicious, the only complaint was that we found it hard to finish. The staff were attentive but not overpowering. Overall a great experience and great value for money.

This was my 6th time to visit this restaurant. we went for the early bird menu and started with duck leg which was very tasty. Mains consisted of flank steak which was very tender and tasty we finished off with Bonoffi desert which rounded off a great night. The staff were very friendly and not too intrusive. will be back again.

The Italian Connection
95 Talbot Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Visited here with some friends and looked for the "Early Bird Special" which consisted on 2 courses with Mains being a fish or meat dish. As one of the party was mainly a fish eater this sounded just what we wanted. When we requested this "Special" we were presented with just one choice. We mentioned the Menupages menu and were informed that this was a mistake by Menupages. Three in the party decided to go with the ONE special while the other member of the party had to choose from the Main menu. While we were annoyed with the lame excuse of the Early Bird the food which we had was superb.

Visited here on Friday 27th April with some friends. Had the early bird special. For starters we had the Goats cheese, crab salad and mushroom soup. The soup was superb. For mains we had the shoulder of lamb, chicken chasseure and the fillet of cod.The food was delicious, however the portions were very small. Perhaps the restaurant could look at increasing the sizes of the main courses.

Il Vicoletto
5 Crow Street (Next to Foggy Dew Pub), Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Arrived here at 6;25PM FOR 6:30pm booking only to be told that our booking was for 6pm, however we were accommodated very quickly. We were shown a 3 course special menu for €26 and no mention of the early bird menu. The restaurant itself is quiet cramped but the food made up for this. Started off with the soup of the day and accompanied by some nice breads. For mains I had the Pollo Timo E Limone Con Cilindro Di Vegetali and my wife had the fish of the day - swordfish which we enjoyed. We could have done without been asked on a least 6 occasions was everything OK

Darwins
80 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

went for the early bird with another couple last friday.Had starters of pate & soup of the day. For main courses two of us had the steak which was cooked as ordered but disappointed that this only came with a small serving of mash. Also two had the Fish of the Day which also came with the same serving of mash. Side orders were extra at €3 (pity this did not come with the early bird by uping the price by maybe 2 or 3 euro) Had desert of Rhubarb fool and Mango Cheesecake which was delicious. Was a bit surprised to discover a service charge of 10% added to the bill as only 4 of us at the table.

Plaza Bar & Grill
Academy Plaza Hotel, Findlater Place, Off O'Connell St, City Centre North, Dublin

4 of us had early bird menu, While I had made the booking through menu pages after checking the menu was a bit surprised to find an Asian menu. For starters 3 had the barbecue ribs and one had the chicken soup & all were delicious. For mains we had the prawn curry, sizzling fillet of beef, chicken curry & salmon. The sizzling beef just melted in the mouth and the prawn curry and chilli were delicious, however the salmon was dried out as if it was left under the grill while the other dishes were prepared. The service was fantastic and overall good value.

Had the early bird 2 course menu with 3 friends 2 of us had the garlic mushrooms for starters which were delicious. For mains we had the Salmon which was very nice and two of us had the steak which was cooked exactly as ordered and was very tasty. The only complaint was that the portion of chips was to say the least, skimpy. The 4th member of our party had the burger & found no fault with it. Deserts were had by 2 of us - The Panna Cotta & Sticky Toffee pudding (both were delicious). This was followed by coffee for all.At 16.95 per person this was excellent value and we will surely be back again

Indian Ocean Dublin
15 Montague Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Went for the early bird on Friday 30th Jan with 3 friends. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who produced our menu very promptly and explained what was avaiable for the Early Bird menu. We had a choice of up to 5 options from the menu which included either a glass of wine or a mineral. This was followed by a starter from which we cpicked roasted peppers with vegetables which was fantastic. We then chose our main and either rice or nan bread and all four of us choose a different dish. This was followed by 4 coffees and all for 19.99. As we asked for the bill we were asked would we like a complimentary drink of either vodka, whiskey or brandy, as two of us are t totallers 2 ordered a brady which rounded off the evening very well.

Four of us had a meal on Friday last which was very enjoyable. We started with the seafood chowder and then 2 of us had the baked Irish Salmon cutlet which was really delicious while the rest had the Corn fed chicken breast which was nice and moist. A nice enjoyable evening with some good food but alas the restaurant could have had a few more customers.
