8 Georges Quay, Limerick City, Limerick
Reviewed 25th June 2011 ( visited 25th June 2011 )We went to Azur for a casual dinner this evening, I picked based on the reviews of this site, I have to say they deserve the good review. Both of us were very happy with all our courses, the starter, main and dessert. I loved the salmon I ordered, it was cooked perfect and super tasty. The set menu has plenty to choose from too. We'll go back again.
Hamptons Grill restaurant
Henry Street, Limerick City, Limerick
Reviewed 06th August 2010 ( visited 12th June 2010 )Apart from services were rushed, dessert portion very small ( I mean it), everything else are good in Hampton grill. All 3 enjoyed the taste of the food. I would recommend for people to go!
47 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin
Friend invited us for a dinner in this restaurant on Saturday night, the place was packed which could show that they are good. As one of the other reviewer said, the tables are bit of small, there were only 3 of us but found it very hard to strech arms or legs. Atomsphere is very causal but some people could find it bit lound though. Food was great, portion huge, services were good too. But I do think it is on the higher price end for the food.

Spice of India (Limerick)
First Floor, 28 O'Connell Street, Limerick City, Limerick
My husband and I went to Spice of Indian for dinner on a Sunday night, it was pretty quiet when we were there, so was no atomphere really but was fine. Service were great, very attentive and very efficient. Food were OK but we had better Indian in other places. The free dessert drink we got at the end was a superise - two small portion of baby guiness.
Theatre Lane Lower, Glentworth Street, Limerick City, Limerick
I went to Freddy's on Valentines with my husband, not sure if its the night that didn't justify their quality, but we certainly were bit disappointed with the food compared to our expectation after reading the reviews. My husband had chicken wing for starter, the wing was too soft like been cooked too long. I had fish cake which was OK. Both main course wasn't bad though. Maybe our expectation was too high, maybe it wasn't a right night to do, but our overall experience wasn't impressed, I say, we'll not rush to give another try in a while.
Steamboat Quay, Limerick City, Limerick
My husband and I went to Frech Table for my birthday dinner yesterday. The place for a Tuesdday and just after Christmas was fairly busy which shows the quality of the restaurant. Atmosphere was quiet but not dead, overview to the river added some romantic, service is just right no annoying but definitely sufficient. We both loved our starter and our main which was fablous, but the dessert was just about. The overall value I should rate it high still with the food, service and price, for a fine dinner place.
Restaurant Merlot @ Westport Plaza Hotel
Castlebar Street, Westport, Mayo
We stayed in the hotel for a weekend break, ate in this Hotel restaurant one night. The food was fablous, from the presenation and taste, no negative points I can think of. Especially, the dessert's presenation, it do show itself as a fine dinning option. Services was great too, very attentive and careful.
Mangos Seafood Restaurant
Bridge Street, Westport, Mayo
We spent a weekend in Westport, so had chance to have a dinner in Mango's on Saturday night. It was very busy in there on a Saturday night, I recommend to make reversation in advance if you want to gaurantte a table. The food was great for all our courses, I had pan grilled salmon for main, it was fablous. I also had taste of my husband's starter - seafood chowder, it was the best chowder I had tasted. The services was just about, you do get what you need but it could be more friendly and more of personal touch.
Dooradoyle Road, Dooradoyle, Limerick
Ate there several times, the early bird menu is a pretty good value- 17euros for 3 courses+tea/coffee. Services is very good, very attentive and accompany special request. The only drawback I would say is the dessert included in the early bird menu is not good, tast like frozen cakes.
109, O'Connell St, Limerick City, Limerick
Myself and my husband went to chocolate for dinner last month. Both of our starter were quite nice, then I ordered the Filipino Pork Adobo for main course.I have to say it wasn't a good dish, very blend taste, presentation wasn't good either, dessert was just about. Plus we were told over the phone there isn't a free table for the night but when we just walked in directly we got a table straight away. After that time, I haven't returned, and I doubt I will for a long time.

33/34 Princes Street, Cork City, Cork
We spent a long weekend in cork with another couple, so had a dinner in this restaurant on Saturday night. There are 3 set menus on differenct prices. We all had different dish and all are ok with their ones. The services are pretty good, attentive and not overly bothering, food was fine too. The whole atmosphere was definitely give that Italian feeling. So I would rate this restaurant a ok to go place. Not as bad as the reviews I read below.
Copper & Spice (Limerick City)
2 Cornmarket Row, Limerick, Limerick City, Limerick
I agree with one of the reviewers point below, for my overall opinion I think this restaurant is just an average in everything. Nothing tooo bad but nothing impress either. 4 of us went for a after work dinner, all went for set menue-24.50 per head. We were told we could chose combination starters per person as starter, but got charged extra on the bill. One of the girl were there before said the food wasn't as good as if you went for ordinary dinner menu not the set menu. I think for the price they charge per head, the food quality shouldn't be different. The main course was definitely a good one, tasty! service was OK too. For 24.50 per head, your dessert choice is very limited on the dessert menu.Overall, an OK place to go but we weren't impressed from the reviews we read before we went.
116 O'Connell Street, Limerick City, Limerick
We ate a few times in the Bamboo restuarant, it has always been sastification, the taste of the food or the value. However, the last time we were there, we saw the menu has been extended with Italian, it makes me feel that they are loosing their identity as a Thai Restaurant. But surely, it doesn't matter to me as I would only go for their Thai. But one change they made that I don't like is that the rice portion has been halved! We end up order one extra portion of rice to be able to fill our stomach. It is annoying rather than costy, and it doesn make me consider if I would like to go back again.
3 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Me and my partner had a dinner on a Saturday night there. The food was fine in general, not very impressive but fine enough. Service was good, we didn't make reservation but we still got a windown table upstairs overlooking the street. However, the value for the food and service is great though. We each had 3 courses but with no drink, it cost only 54 euros. I would recommend this restuarant for a normal dine out night not a romantic dinner.
Shanahan’s on the Green
119 St. Stephens Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin
Me and My husband went to Shanahans on a special occasion for a dinner. The food was absolutely tasty. My husband had a steak and it was not possible to finish for the size. I had fish it was great in taste compare to other fishes I had in other places which the taste is from the sauce rather than the fish itself. The service was great too, they booked us a very nice table for our special night and also reserved a table down in their bar for us after the dinner. Well, for the price you pay, I don't think it is a place that you go often, but for a special time, it's worth to pay for the money.
Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin
I had a dinner with my boyfriend there last night. The food is not that fantastic, I've had better sushi some other place but I have to say that the service was GREAT.But just be aware that the price on the menu is for per piece of Sushi rather than per plate. Overall, I will go back some stage in the future.
