Excellent place for lunch. Had the chicken with pesto on ciabatta, which was delicious and came with a portion of chips (can also choose salad) for €9.50! Good food for a good price with friendly service - will def be back.

Popped in here for a quick lunch today and must say I found the food lovely - I had the Chargrilled Herbed Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich and it was delicious. I agree with previous reviews that it's a bit cramped - not ideal for a meal at night but fine for lunch. I found the waiters were hard to get hold of if you needed anything - took about 10 minutes for us to get another jug of water as they just flew past us. It was busy, but i wasn't very impressed with the service overall.

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I was pleasantly surprised with this place last night. Came with a friends who loves it but I had never been. Was unsure at first when I saw the benches but a gap was left between us and the people beside us so it didn't feel too crowded. The food was nice although my cocnut based soup did not taste like coconut at all! My friends curry was nicer, and we shared duck dumplings which were lovely. We also shared the white chocolate and ginger cheesecake which was beautiful and a with a bottle of wine came to €60 so not too bad but maybe a bit expensive for what it is if you get my meaning. Could not fault the staff who were lovely and friendly and the service was very quick. Would def come back again for a casual bite to eat.

The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar
The Westin Dublin, At College Green, Westmoreland Street, City Centre South, Dublin

My partner and I decided to come here on Saturday, using our menu points to get us a free bottle of house wine. As we looked at the menu, it turned out there were around 20 bottles of wine we could choose from which was brilliant as generally with these vouchers, you have 1 choice. We were also impressed that they had no problem with us ordering from the Early Bird menu along with this deal. I had the gnocci to start which was fantastic and came in the most wonderful creamy sauce, while he had the pork cheek and really enjoyed it too. The waitress had also put a selection of breads on the table which were great for mopping up all the lovely juices. For main, I had the baked halibut while he had the steak - both dishes were cooked to prefection and every mouthful was devoured! The only problem I had was that I didn't have room for dessert! :p The waitress we had was fantastic too - we never filled our own glasses once and she was friendly and helpful without being overpowering. Altogether a truly fantastic meal with excellent service - we will definately be back!

Teddy's Grill & Ice-Cream Parlour
Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre, Dundrum, Dublin

Came to Teddys for the first time one night after going to the cinema. Even though the place was busy, we were seated within 5 minutes with no booking. The atmosphere was buzzing and the waitress serving us was very nice and had a bit of banter with us. There was a deal on for a burger and chips for €8.50 (normal price for a burger) so we all opted for that - I had the chicken burger which was delicious, and there were LOADS of chips! We all had ice cream after too which was yum! I'd definately go back - was great value for money!

TriBeCa
65 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Came here on Saturday night in a group of 6. We shared the chicken wings, nachos and mezze plate to start and was def a good choice! The chicken wings were as fab as the reviews say and I really enjoyed the starter. My main was a bit bland - chilli beef stir fry. Was hardly any chilli in it and it was a bit tasteless. Saying that, everyone else really enjoyed their meal and I tasted some of the swordfish which was their special and it was delicious! Maybe just a bad choice of main then! I had the cookies & cream cheesecake too which was lovely. Altogether it was €240 with tip included which i felt was very reasonable as there were 2 bottles of wine in this too. My only one complaint was that the waitress started to clear our table when one of our party was still eating, but she did apologise for this after as she said she didn't notice.

The Porterhouse (Central)
45-47 Nassau Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Came here in a group of 7 before going to the theatre. As it was a Thursday we took advantage of the fantastic deal of pizza or burger (inc chips) for €10 which is very good. I had the smokey burger which was delicious but you def need a big appetite for it as it was huge! The waitress was very good at popping her head over every so often to make sure we were ok for drinks. All in all superb value and very good service.

Lemon (Dawson St)
60 Dawson St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Came here on pancake Tuesday - needless to say was packed! Buzzing atmosphere though had to wait a while for a table - this place should really have more as it's very popular even on normal days. Had the calzone crepe with salamai and it was delicious! Crepes are huge and really fill you up - wanted a sweet one but wasn't fit for it! I actually think they are very reasonably priced for Dublin seeing how much you get - will def be back again.

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Came here for the first time on Sat for a friends birthday and I loved it! The atmosphere was buzzing and was very busy so I def recommend booking a table! I shared the californian sushi rolls for starter which were delicious, and the waiter even showed us how to mix the different ingredients with the soy sauce to make a perfect dipping sauce - yum! Then had the chicken teryaki which came with a large selection of veg and rice! You def get your moneys worth here! Everyone in my party enjoyed their food and will be heading back soon! The staff are also very friendly and helpful and were more than happy to come out with cake and a candle for the birthday girl!

Antica Venezia
97 Ashfield Road, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

First time I ever tried this place and wasn't disappointed! Came in a group of 7 and we had a lovely table at the back - atmosphere is lovely and not pretentious at all. The food was gorgeous - I had the garlic mushrooms which were huge and the special for main which was a prawn risotto - delicious. All in all came to around €280 for 6 starters, 7 mains, 4 desserts, 4 coffees, 2 bottles of wine and 2 beers - not bad! And that was including the 10% service charge for a group over 6, will def come back here!

Toss'd Noodles & Salads
Chq Building, Dublin Docklands, City Centre North, Dublin

I love this place! I've been here a few lunchtimes and i think it's great value for money - the food is all fresh and delicious (i had the massaman curry today - beautiful) and there is so much! I would actually usually share a portion with a friend so that it's actually really cheap! I know €10 for lunch can seem expensive but it's not for the amount of food you get - it's like a dinner! I'm writing this at half 4 and i'm still full from lunch! Gold star!

Avoca Cafe (Suffolk Street)
Avoca, 11 Suffolk Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Fisrt time in Avoca and i realy enjoyed it! I had a salad which was self service and piled my plate with a bit of everything as it all looked so good! Also a huge slice of home made brown bread - yum! The food is all so fresh so wasn't too expensive at €4.95. Is very busy so could be hard to get a seat if there is a group, but i will def come back!

Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here last night for the early bird and i'm giving it top marks! €13.95 for starter and mains which were big portions! I had nachos to start which were plentiful and the carbonara which was nice and creamy if a little too salty. Also, thanks to menu pages, we got the free dessert and wine - wine was just ok but the profiteroles were lovely! The waitress was very efficient and even though it was really busy, asked did we want to wait a while between mains and dessert if we were a bit full! It's nothing fancy but if you want great service and value for money, this is your place!

The Ivy House
114 Upper Drumcondra Road, Drumcondra, Dublin

I always come to the Ivy House before matches for a big breakfast and i'm usually happy with them but even though there was a semi-final on this sunday, they only seemed to have one waitress! we ordered 5 full Irish breakfasts and one bacon and toast - we got 2 full irish breakfasts after 20 minutes and then 4 more full Irish after another 10. When we complained that one was wrong, the waitress looked at us blankly before we just gave in as we would have missed the match waiting again. The 2 coffees ordered with the breakfast came as we were finishing off and we got one small jug of milk between 6. When this was empty i tried to catch the waitress' attention for 10 mins before giving up and having black tea. Very disappointed :(

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK South Anne Street)
5 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Yummy - just had my lunch here - had the beef burger with mango and ginger chutney...delicious! Can't wait to come back! The lunch time deal of burger, fries and drink for €10 is very good - I couldn't even eat all my food!

China Castle
58/59 Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Best Chinese buffet in Dublin! €9.90 for all you can eat and unlike many others have a wide selection including soups and desserts. Atmosphere fine - very busy but also tables very close together. BEWARE they don't accept cards - my boyfriend had to run to a cash point while I stayed behind so take cash! Great for a bite to eat if you're not looking for anything fancy!

Nico's Restaurant
53 Dame Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Came across this place with my boyfriend after a show in the Oylimpia theatre and have to say I was completely impressed! Staff were helpful and friendly and the piano music was such a nice touch! It looks very classy inside but it's very mixed with some people very dressed up and others casual, and everything was reasonably priced. The food was beautiful - I had the soup with raviolli to start and then pasta carbonara which was devine! Portions were perfectly sized - managed to finish them without being uncomfortably full! The wine was lovely too and very reasonable at €21 for house red. I will definately be back!

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

Yet again i had a delicious dinner here! Came with 4 other friends before the cinema - it was very busy and we didn't have a booking but when they heard our film started in an hour, they offered to let us sit outside and served us very quickly. Burgers here are devine - so much choice and now you don't have to pay extra for their 'gormet' toppings like advocado and sun dried tomatoes - yum! Well worth a visit!

Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Came here last night with a friend - think the menus changed and it's a bit more expensive since i came last time - but still good! Had the steak sandwich which came with a lot of chips, and my friend went for the vegeterian lasagne - good choice of veg. options! Atmosphere brill as usual and the staff were friendly and very quick even though it was busy.

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

A group of us came here yesterday afternoon for a bit of lunch before heading it to see the street performers. The food was tasty enough if not a bit over priced but i wasn't impressed with the service! I had to ask 3 times for a glass of water and it was only served after we had all got our food! The Fridays Sundae was lovely though!

Lemon (South William St)
66 South William St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Best crepes ever! The food was delicious - i had one with smoked salmon and creme fraise and it was beautiful! Very packed (just shows how popular it is) so hard to get a seat, plus it's quite small, but you can take out! Didn't think a crepe would fill me up but it really did - I'll def be back!

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Came back AGAIN just before Christmas - i just adore the food here. This time 3 courses for €20, and not on a small selection, it was on the whole menu! First time i ever had three courses here and was fit to burst after, although the staff were great and let us take a break for about half an hour before dessert. Again food was excellent and with great portions, it's no wonder i keep coming back! Bill only came to €55 with 2 starters, mains, desserts AND a bottle of house wine - can't beat that!

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here on a Friday night and have to say, i will definitely be back! The atmosphere is better than most restaurants - bit loud if you wanted a romantic meal for two but there were four of us and it has such a good buzz. We had reservations and were seated straight away by a friendly waiter who was very helpful the whole night. The food was delicious - the only complaint our party had was my boyfriend thought the tiger prawns were a bit small but eveything else was spot on. And the toblorone cheesecake is AMAZING! We had 3 courses each and 2 bottles of wine for €170 which works out at around €43 each so is fantastic value as well!

Alfies
10 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I have had dinner many times here but today was the first day I came in for lunch...and I will definately be back! They had a menu where you can pick any three items for €10! I had salmon cakes, a burger and fries and was stuffed! The portions were smaller than your normal dinner portions - which is definately a good thing as i never would have been able to eat it all! There is a good atmosphere - though a little quieter than at dinner which is always amazing! I have only ever had amazing service here and i would recommend it to everyone!

Botticelli
3 Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

The one thing i really could not fault is the service. The waiter who looked after us was very cheerful and recommended dishes to us when we asked. He also came over to us twice during the meal to make sure everything was ok. The food, although lovely, was very minimal so was a bit overpriced for how much you got. I had the swordfish - which was cooked beautifully - but the side order of baby potatoes had only 3! We then decided to get a salad to share and the tomato salad turned out to be a tomato cut into slices with salt on it! Overall, it has a nice atmosphere but i wouldn't come here if you were really hungry!
