Had lunch here with 4 people. Portions were generous. All dishes looked great. We had desert also, profiteroles weren't great. Overall i'd definately go back and recommend. the atmosphere is very old man west ireland pub style. the food is fresh and mostly based around fish. And great value for money.

Service was appalling, food was average. the music they had playing still haunts me. the place is nice apart from all this and i expect there are better times to be had there, i consider myself the exception rather than the rule.

L'Officina by Dunne And Crescenzi (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Went in for coffee and ended up staying for lunch. Food was great, coffee was also great and it was all served with a smile. Prices were a little high but maybe that's a symptom of the area.

Fat Freddys
The Halls, Quay Street, Galway City, Galway

Great restaurant, didn't book ahead but they got us a table for 6 with only a short wait. Great value for money and a great range of food styles on offer.

The Meridian Restaurant
The Westwood Hotel, Dangan, Upper Newcastle, Newcastle, Galway

We were staying in the hotel so decided to try the restaurant. The place was freezing from outside doors continually being opened, however the rest of the atmosphere was good. I had the burger with mash, which was probably the nicest burger i've ever had. My girlfriend had mushrooma and spinach taglletelli which was under seasoned. I'd definately go back for the burger but on a warm day :)

Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The best Captain A's in the country. Great food, good value, and diligent service. Who can say no to Pitchers of Cocktails to start a night? Plenty on the wall to look at if you get bored.

Soho Bar and Restaurant
77 Grand Parade, Cork City, Cork

Good food, service leaves a little to be desired, Waitress ran off with money and didn't return for 20 minutes. everything on the menu looks appealing.

Captain America's Cookhouse and Bar (Cork)
4/5 South Main Street, Cork, Cork City, Cork

Great food, good service. Not as good an atmosphere as Captain A's in Dublin. Always good value and the start to a night out with pitchers of cocktails.

Pearl River
21 Princes Street, Cork City, Cork

The Portions are massive, i had a curry that literally came out in a barell. While my main was very good, my friends complained about there's being horrible. My starter was like crunching on charcoal. It even seemed to appear before i'd even finished telling the waitress my order. I would not go back.

Copper & Spice Restaurant
Above The Mill Bar, Anncotty Village, Annacotty, Limerick

This restaurant is tucked away in Annacotty. They use copper dishes and drinkets which sets a nice mood. I had the pad thai which came in an enormous portion, it was delicious and very like the pad thai you'd get in Thailand. Service was acceptable and the restaurant offered good value for money as we were too stuffed to have any other course. :)

Aubars
49-50 Thomas Street, Limerick City, Limerick

Aubars is a great spot for Lunch. They have sandwiches and delicious cakes. It's just off the main shopping street so very convienient for stopping in. Paninis and Sandwiches come with chips which makes them very good value.

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Wagamamas has a good atmosphere with bench seats and paper placemats which the staff write your order on. The food is very nice portions are a little small though. It's a great alternative to any other fast food joint.

The Larder Restaurant
8 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We booked a table for 6 and later added a 7th with no problems. Service was prompt and they were very accommodating. Food was excellent. We took ages to decide on everything but the waitress never ruhed us. Even when it looked like they were closing they never bothered us and even said we could drink until 1am. I had the pork belly, though quite fatty was delicious.

The Halal Sultan Restaurant
73 South Great Georges Street, City Centre South, Dublin

THE best Kebab shop in Dublin at the moment. The Clay oven makes the pitta soft, delicious and non-rubbery. The filling is fresh, the sauce is probably the best thing about Sultan. Not much choice, what they do they do well, great stop on the way home after a few pints.

Milano (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

There are many Milanos in Dublin and a certain service and quality of food is expected from them. Dundrum does not disappoint. The menu is broad and all items seem tasty in their own way. Pizzas come how you like them and are reasonable in price. Wine list is extensive and offers good value also. Service is prompt and friendly. Overall I was impressed and my opinion of the milano chain was solidified.

Roly Saul The Restaurant
The Mill House, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

We had the seafood chowder and duck spring roll for starters and they were delicious, wild game winter pie and Turkey for mains. The turkey was excellent, not dry but succulent and the sauces added to the flavour. Roast potatoes on the side were cooked well and complimented the meal. The winter pie however left a lot to be desired, it was more of a stew in a bowl with pastry on the top, vegetables in it were undercooked and the whole pie was very watery. The restaurant was very empty which added to the quality of service given however if the restaurant was fuller i doubt we'd have been given the same attention. Early bird is 24euro for 2 courses or 28euro for 3, which offers only a marginal saving on some items.

Zaytoon (Lower Camden Street)
44-55 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

At the end of the night, there is no better place to stock up on a nice fatty kebab. Taste is great, service is quick and there's always tables to sit down. Great value for money. Chips aren't great but the kebab makes up for that.

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Excellent Food and Atmosphere. service is a little lacking considering it is such a small place. You can't book a table in advance so get there early or late, two sitting times are around 6.30 and 9pm

The Market Bar
Fade Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I have been to the Market bar many times and am alwasy impressed with the quality of food. The atmosphere is more pub-like than restaurant. It's sometimes a little hard to get the attention of the waiter/waitress due to the geography of the tables. Overall it is far superior to normal pub grub. Try the Fish Pie!
