Reviewed 20th January 2014 ( visited 17th January 2014 )Disaster from start to finish, I have been visting here for many years but hadn't been in a long time so decided to go on Friday night. Waited 20mins for our order to be taken although the place was empty both mains we ordered were not avaialbe but then they returned to say the prawns I wanted were available but when they arrived the sauce I expected with them pesto was not with them as per the menu when I asked for the sauce they checked with the kitchen and came back saying there was none! No Pesto in an italian very strange, my o/h order fillet steak this was not available either so he had Sirloin which he said was very good. My prawns were dry and as the sauce was not available it didn't help, I was given sweet chilli (in an italian!!) and garlic mayo just not right with King Prawns at all. I decided to have Tirimisu for dessert also not availalbe nor was the banoffi! Bit of a trend going on here I think. Then to top it off the visa machine was not working do we were told to go get cash from a machine down the road, just aswell we weren't paying on credit cards. The staff knew we weren't happy one even said if i was you I'd be out of here. I felt like we should have just went to McD's for the standard of service we got, in fairness the waiting staff were very nice but standards were so bad I would not return or recommend the place. We were also charged full amount which I thought was in bad taste considering the terrbile meal we had.

New store has opened in the square Tallaght, and I was soo looking forward to healthy lunches but after the first deliver I will not be ordering again. The salad bowl was a seafood salad but 99% of the bowl was made up of lettuce and nothing else I had to go searching for the seafood and other salad items. Really is a disappointment because I love my salads and was really looking forward to this store opening.

6/10 Chatham House, Chatham Lane, Off Grafton Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Such a disappointment, would never return to this place. Went with my daughter niece and nephew 6 of us altogether. This would have been a regular place for us many years ago but after this visit I would never set foot in the place again. Bad atmosphere food and prices, I should have known from the greeting at the door not to go in but the kids were excited we were going for pizza we ordered 2 pizzas, fries garlic bread all to share this in itself seem an ordeal for the staff. they charge €3.30 for a mineral and it literally is just a small glass for this price. The owner and what I think was his wife were having a heated row beside our table and I had to stop the kids from staring because they were asking what was happening with the man and lady!!!! as soon as you would take the last slice of pizza the plate was whipped away from us same with plates although we were sharing and anyone with toddlers/ kids understands leave the plates there.... I had to at one stage tell them do not take those plates we are still eating I went to the toilet and my glass was taken although I still had drink in it, seriously is anyone trained in here. the place only had us and one other party In the place and I am not surprised. 5% service charge added to the bill although services disgraceful how the place is still open I do not know.
12/13 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Love this place, great staff and atmosphere, we shared the 5 japas and a starter called Rainbow which was sushi have to say really enjoyed everything, we also had cocktails we were excellent. enjoyed it so much and booking a table today for this Saturday as a belated fathers day treat for my dad.
The Plaza Hotel Complex, Belgard Road, Tallaght, Dublin
Tried here for the first time last night, if you're looking for authentic food forget it, to be honest the food did not impress me or my colleague we both felt like it was more about presentation than ingredients. The food is presented really well and the service is good but the taste left a lot to be desired we both felt like the sauces were just run of the mill shop bought. unfortunately I would not return which is a pity as the place is on my doorstep.

The Blazin Grill Steakhouse and Seafood
Belgard Square, Dublin 24, Tallaght, Dublin
Although living local Sunday was my first visit to this place, the sunday menu is slighty different to what is advertised on the window but it was a good choice over all. Where this resturant is lacking is Service it's dreadful, loads of staff but no direction all going about trying to look busy but doing nothing. I ordered from the set menu my OH ordered from ala carte, C/wings for staters were good plenty of sauce & arrived within minutes of order so far so good from when they cleared our table of the starter till the mains arrived a 45minute wait!! we did bring it to the waitresses attention becasue 3 tables who arrive after us were served ahead of us when we pointed this our she checked with the kitchen and said it would just be a few more minutes but then another waitress interferred stating we 'he' did order fillet steak well done and that takes 20mins to cook, I said well if that is the case it should have been here 10mins ago so, yet we had to wait another 10minutes, the first waitress was pleasant and apologised so there was no need for the other to interfer and make a scene. I also noticed the couple beside us ordered wine which was just poured into the glasses without asking if they would like to taste it first so obviously the staff just aren't trained. Having said all that the food was good the and presented well my oh wanted extra sauce for his steak but we could not get the attention of a staff member although there were about 10 going about the place and nobody checked to see if everything was ok for us so a bit of a let down. So if you want good food and don't mind bad service might be worth a visit would I return I doubt it very much.
Siam Thai (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin
This was my first visit to any of the Siam resturants although I have been meaning to go for some time, went for lunch yesterday the resturant itself is very nice lovely to sit at the window watching all the shoppers come and go. Unfortuntely thought I would not be returning anytime soon for food , they have a selection of 4 Bento boxes but nothing can be changed as everything is prepared in advance I asked to change an item to chicken instead of beef but is was not possible so I opted to have Pad Thai instead which a favourite of mine but it's very hard to get it right, after spending time in Thailand many years ago it's been a firm favourite of mine but I must admit I can be hard to please, same can be said for the noodles they were hard so very chewy also when I arrived I got a glass of water which had lipstick on it this had to be changed so thought not good to complain about the noodles for fear of what I would receive back, my companions had the bento box which was satay chicken, this was ok but I prefer sauce on it and plenty this wasn't the case also he got beef massaman curry but it was obvious the potatoes weren't good in it they must have been boiled seperately becasue they lacked taste. The lunch was a real disappointment for me especially when I had been so looking forward to it.
Sandyford Road, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin
3 of us tried here afeter shopping in Dundrum, it was my first time in Nandos and I was expexting great things are listerning to friends who lived in the UK, unfortunately I was very disappointed I opted for the 1/4 chicken meal with 2 sides but found the portion very small maybe you need to order a 1/2 to get a decent sized meal. For the price value was not great we spent €70 between the 3 of us.
The Brasserie @ Newlands Cross
Bewleys Hotel Newlands Cross, Clondalkin, Dublin
Had lunch here yesterday with some work colleagues, I opted for the stir fry whihc was freshly made to order, my food was really ideal for lunch although I can't comment on the carvery it look ed like there was plently of choice.
Bits and Pizzas
15 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin
I redeemed my menupages vouchers for a visit here yesterday, it was my first time here but I will definately return as this place is up a side street I've never noticed it before which is a pity becasue the food and service is excellent. We had two value meals and another couple of items not on the value menu, starters were really good chicken wings were delish and the meat was so tender the garlic mushroom are covered in cheese, for mains two pizzas and one prawn skewere dish both pizzas were good one a little dry but this was quickly rectified with some extra sauce from the chef, the menu is a little limited but if you like a good pizza then you're sorted staff are really good and friendly even the chef greeted regular customers which is a nice touch. I will definately return.
Ciao Bella Roma
24/25 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Excellant value at the weekends, €12.50 for a 2 course with a glass of wine!! Staff very friendly and helpful when we only ordered the one glass of wine the waiter asked did I want the 3 glasses of wine. Food was excellant we all agreed the best italian food that we have had since out italy trip a year ago. The Bruschetta is really good and 3 large slices per portion enough to share and the pasta is cooked perectly not over done like in most resturant, the only item that did not impress me was ther tiramisu. I would definately return,
Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham Village, Rathfarnham, Dublin
I recently bought a citydeal voucher for this resturant and decided to use it last friday with a friend of mine choice was a mixed platter for two and any main on the main, food was fantastic I really enoyed it I had never been to the place but will definately return. it was very quiet for a Friday evening staff were really nice from looking at the menu it seems very reasonable and i also saw that they do an early bird.
L'Officina by Dunne And Crescenzi (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin
i have eaten here on a few occasions and can not fault the place staff are always pleasant no matter how busy it is.On Friday i had bruschetta which was excellant only negative thig was it could do with more garlic, Prawn mains really nice plenty of small prawns throughout. always worth a visit when shopping in dundrum
The Ormond Wine Bar
At Capel Street Bridge, 6 Ormond Quay Upper, City Centre North, Dublin
First time to try this place was Sat eve and I was well impressed, tapas to start with all @ €5.00 were lovely mains are small bowls of food priced @ €8.00. Food was excellant and such good value had bottle of house white a really nice spanish wine. Staff were very friendly and attentive without being in your face no rush to leave could havce just sat here all evening with no pressure to leave. if your looking for somewhere cheap 'n' cherful for a bottle of wine and Tapas this would be an excellant choice. I will definately return
13 Dame Court, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin
I have been coming to Odessa for many years even celebrated my 21birthday here many moons ago, decided to go back here last Friday as it has been a few years since I'd been as always service was good and food was delicious the only small comment I could make it that the portions are now quite small so make sure to order a side.
The Tribes Restaurant
John Glynn's Clayton Hotel, Galway City, Galway City, Galway
Stayed at this hotel for the weekend food in the Bar is excellant, we had lunch here on the day we arrived and it was so good we had dinner here on the saturday night after having a terrible dinner in Galway on the friday thought it was best to stick wit the hotel. For lunch on the Friday i had red snapper and on the Saturday i had trout both catch of the day and both were excellant and fault could not be found. Staff are really friendly and helpful. I would definatelyrecommend a meal here if you are in the area
Eddie Rockets (Citywest)
Citywest Shopping Centre, Citywest Business Campus, West Dublin, Saggart, Dublin
This is my local eddies just a stroll down the road, staff are always nice and friendly. Food can sometimes be good but on other occasions can be hit or miss. I regularly get the Chicken burger in a bowl which is normally nice but on this occasion was dreadful and the chips were cold we reordered more but there weren't nice like the last reviwer said the need to change the oil :) I hoping standards will improve again becasue it is nice and really close by for me and have also in the past gotten take away.
Captain America's Cookhouse and Bar (Tallaght)
Unit A3 Tallaght Cross Dublin 24, Tallaght, Dublin
Have eaten here on a couple of occasions but standards are dropping I think, the waitress we had was really nice but the food is about average for what you pay for it, having said that have been with friends on a saturday night also and although food isn't great the cocktails are very good value and good for a night out.
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
I have previously wrote a very good review if this resturant but after my experience last week I have now retracted it, Went for the Sunday lunch starter was very good but my mains was a disaster when I pointed this out the the waitress the situation was not handled very well at all although my food was not edible bill was received with my mains included. Aguy came over who I think was a manager said he would pass my comment made about my mains to the chef later!! Place was pretty empty at the time about 10-15 people in the place which included our party. I would not return.
Frankies Italian Bar and Grill
42 Temple Bar Square, Temple Bar, Dublin
Went here on sat night with my O/H, first time to try the place but will not be returning. Service was good I couldn't fault the waitress she was extremely pleasant but not overbearing. The let down was the food, the mains menu didn't impress me so I had a starter then another 2 starters for my mains and a guy at the table next to us did the same. I got fish cakes 2 small ones on the plate but I could only eat one very over powering Salmon taste, I also got calamari which was a bit rubbery and Goats cheese & beetroot salad the goats cheese was really nice one of the best I've tasted but the rest of the salad was nothing to write about. My other half got chicken wings which were lovely but a horrible over cooked steak the bill came to €90 which included 2 bber and a half bottle of wine which at €22.00 I think is expensive for a basic pinot grigio. I will not return.
6/10 Chatham House, Chatham Lane, Off Grafton Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Went here Saturday night, we were late arriving about 10pm but got a table straight away no problem, it's years since i had been here but if your looking for a cheap & cheerful casual place it's ideal. Starter weren't great, we both order pasta dishes one with penne & one taglietelle. Penne didn't arrive spaghetti did! but they changed it straight only down side I was eating on my own otherwise my food would have went cold. Got tiramisu for dessert and have to say this was very good. Service wasn't great the Penne was one thing then we asked for another beer and the bill arrived! So don't expect silver service. A 5% service charged was added to the bill which I didn't like I always leave a good tip but when they are cheeky to do this they end up getting less from me!
Weeping Thaiger (Naas)
Wolfetone Street, New Town Centre, Naas, Kildare
Have been here a few times usually meet with a friend after work for the early bird which is great value, lovely food I have even popped in for take away if passing by. The only down side is the place does lack a atmosphere, I don't know if it's just becasue we've gone early the last few times. But of your into your Thai food, Wheeping Thaiger is the place to go.
Anvil Bistro Restaurant
Saggart Village, Dublin 22, Saggart, Dublin
Had lunch here recently and could not fault the food and service, I had a goats cheese tart whcih was really lovely, would have loved a little more :) My OH had homemade burge and fries which was a huge portion and lovely also, the girls who served was extremely pleasant which makes such a change nowadays. Will definately be returning.
Unit 11/18 Belgard Square, Tallaght Town Centre, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin
I have eaten here on a few occasions and have never been disappointed, not the ideal place for a romantic dinner for two or intimate conversation, but if your looking for good asian food with good service and in-expensive then this is the place for you and I have never had to pre-book.
Mao Restaurant (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin
Ate here a couple of weeks ago and have to say was not impressed at all, have eaten in the Dun Laoghaire branch several time and like it but would not return to Dundrum again. Food was over spicy.
Jaipur Restaurant (Ongar)
Unit 35 and 39, Main Street, Ongar village, Dublin 15, Clonee, Dublin
Ate here Sat night. Had the early bird, have to say was very impressed with the food. I got vegetarian starters and Tiger prawn dish for mains, very tasty and the service was good. Started to get quite busy by the time we were leaving so felt a little rushed, would return.
Eddie Rockets (Tallaght)
The Square, Shopping Centre Tallaght, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin
How can you review Eddies! Good burgers, buffalo wings and nachos :) service can be a little slow here sometimes but usually worth the wait.
172 Templeogue Road, Dublin 6w, Templeogue, Dublin
Excellent Service, food and atmosphere. Went here a fews weeks ago with friend and I could not fault the place from the moment we walked in nothing was a problem we didn't pre-book and were surprised just how busy it was when we walked in but it was not a problem the manager said he would a a table in minute which he did the staff are lovely very friendly but not intrusive. I had prawns to start with they were really nice, and chicken for mains everything was cooked perfectly. I have since returned to the pub below which apparently comes fromt he same kitchen and I couldn't doubt it. Is now a regular spot.
Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Ate here last Saturday, very relaxed atmosphere. a friend was delayed so we asked would it be ok to just order starters until they arrived this was not a problem which is unusal for a resturant in town on a saturday night!! Starters were a little on the bland side but the meals so made up for it I had sea bass which was fabulous cooked perfectly and roasted veg on the side. Service was great nothing was a problem and didn't feel rushed at all. I will definitely be returning.
Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin
I brought my dad her for his B'day in Sept and hope to return soon. I had bruschetta for starters and he had meatballs, which he is still raving about. My OH had them also and loved them. For mains I had tricolor pasta which was nice but a little bland, could have done with a little more flavour. Dad had pasta in a tomato sauce with steak and he said it was lovely. OH had Steak medallions and pepper sauce (yes v Italian :)) Although he did say it was really good steak. Will definitely be returning.
Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
I have eaten here on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. Last time we went was for a friend's b'day and he loved the place. My OH got chicken wings to start with and the portion was so big it would have done the 4 of us, so if you opt for these make sure you've someone to share with. I got the fajitas for my mains and I couldn't fault them, OH got steak which he said was brilliant. So all in all a great night.
208 Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin
I ate here a few weeks ago with two friends and not one complaint. Between us we got 2 starters to share and for mains 2 pizzas and one chicken meal. I had Prawn and rocket pizza which I have to say was amazing - lovely thin base so not to filling, we had one bottle of wine and a 3-4 minerals, and altogether came to €88. Excellant value I thought. And the service was good.
4 Rathfarnham Road, Dublin 6W, Terenure, Dublin
Will not be returning, I took advantage of the menupages deal €39.99 for 2ppl 4 course meal. I booked via menupages online a tabel for 5pm yesterday for 3ppl. on arrival we were greeted by the rudest waiter I have ever come across I said we booked for 5pm he said wait at the bar I'm cleaning up after 20ppl, not really my problem we were handed the value menu I explained we had the voucher the reply was yeah! The value menu is €17.45 per 2 course, the voucher cost me € 39.00!! I ordered Chicken Fajitas is it just me or should fajitas not be served with salsa?? I got Thai sweet Chilli sauce obviously the chef sauce a red sauce in a jar and said that will do Old el paso tastes soo much better than JD's Fajitas, also ordered was a Fillet Steak and a Paella, the Steak was good but Paella left a lot to be desired the food was edible but I would not return the waitress we had was very pleasant but the initial guy who greeted us seemed to be running the place and was sooo rude he should not be working in the business. Also when we asked for the bill 2 ppl came in looking for a table he looked over at us and said they are leaving just wait on that table not exactly discreet.
37 Parliament Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I ate here yesterday and was very impressed we had 1 starter 2 mains and 2 desserts for only €45.00! We had chicken wings to start and they were really nice slightly spicy but not over powering. I had a tuna pizza only managed to eat half so the put the other half in a box to take home :) My other half had steak pieces with pepper sauce and sauté potatoes his only complaint was that it could have had a little more steak and maybe a side salad or veg. Dessert mine was Tiramisu a little disappointing but nice, and OH had ice cream which was lovely. I will definitely return.
81 Terenure Road North, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin
It's been a long time since we were in Lisa's as we moved a couple of years ago yesterday we were in the area and decided to go back to an old favourite of ours, we should not have bothered. Disaster from start to finish, we ordered two starters one of which had to be returned as it was unedible it was meatballs but when my partner found a lump of grizzle it turned him totally off the dish not that he was enjoying it anyway the waiter was very apologetic but the manager said it was a piece of bread as they were homemade, my chicken wings left alot to be disired but I did not want to make a fuss. we then waited almost 30mins for our mains to arrive although we were the only ppl in the place I ordered a chicken pasta dish my partner ordered fillet steak my dish was soo salty I could not finish it and was sorry after with what I did manage to eat because I was left thirsty for the rest of the night, Steak was ok although we both doubted it was fillet as the menu stated. We did not bother with coffees or dessert we just wanted to get out as fast as possible the place needs a total revamp and a good cleaning wall tiles had food on them! We were very surprised that the place was empty when we arrived as this place used to be so hard to get a table in but now we know why I will definately not be returning.
Lemongrass (Liffey Valley)
Arc Bar, Liffey Valley Centre, West Dublin, Lucan, Dublin
I have eaten here on many occasions and have never been disappointed with the food, the service can be a bit shabby at times it just depends who you get, but it you let that go over your head you won't be disappointed by the food there combo starter is always good. I love there green curry or there chicken satay for starters even the desserts are very good which is unusual for Asian restaurants. We had a Sunday afternoon lunch one time and it was excellent value I think €18-19 for 2 courses not sure if they still do this but it was excellent value.
Unit 4 Old River House, Templeogue, Dublin
I have eaten her a few times but lately the service has been terrible, the last time we went the waiter argued with me over what the gamberoni came with!!! Was pretty shocking we went with a group of 7 and 2 ppl ordered cannelloni 1 vegetarian and 1 meat but both ended up with meat and he argued again and said that they both ordered meat although I myself heard her ask for veggie! Food is good but service is lousy.
