One thing you really have to try here: (surprisingly) the desserts! I strongly suggest the MONGOLIAN VELVET: absolutely to die for! I love this place, good food at good value! And the best thing is that YOU choose what sauce, what salad, what meat you want, and they cook it right in front of you! Very healthy as it's all barbecued, not fried! And nice, quiet atmosphere for party or a dinner for 2.

Zaytoon (Parliament Street)
14/15 Parliament Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I passed by so many times, but as Im not into Kebabs I never stopped, but last week I did go in with some friends, and was pleasently suprised: had a Chicken Shish meal, served in a freshly baked bread, chips, vegs. Chicken was barbecued and tasted amazing! and the side hummous was delicious!

Novo
Harry Street, St Stephens Green, Dublin

I have to say thanks to MenuPages for introducing me to this place, I would have never known about it, and would have thought it too posh and expensive: it's not!! Decor is fantastic, staff is super, food is so well presented and tasty, but the prices are affordable!! Such a lovely place, had a great dinner. The Manager was really helpful and friendly, and so were the waitresses. Had a brilliant burger for free thanks to Menupages, plus the Mezze and Polenta chips, really really good! cant wait to go back and try desserts! And they've lots of tasty milkshakes!

Jimmy Chungs
Eden Quay, City Centre North, Dublin

I love this buffet, esp. when you're hungry, so you dont have to wait and there's plenty of choice! Im not really a fan of Chinese, and maybe this is not the best one, but to me they're kind of all the same, and all I want is a clean cheap one, with good choice and a good service.

The Bank on College Green
20-22 College Green, City Centre South, Dublin

one of my favourite pubs in Dublin, the atmosphere is great, service is very good and the grub is nice too! cant go wrong, meeting friends for a pint or having a quick lunch here..

YO Sushi (Dundrum)
Level 1, Unit 26A, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Food is nicely presented, but very little for the price you pay! when you get up, you're still hungry and you paid good money! Its a fun quick lunch but dont know if I'll go again..

had lunch once here, nice view and good pub food

El Bahia Moroccan Restaurant
37 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We had heard a lot about this place, and to be fair,it is incredibly beautiful and atmospheric, but as soon as we sat down, we were so disappointed! 2 of us ordered food, and 1 just a drink and dessert, but the waiter told us that we had to spend 16€ EACH MINIMUM! When I pointed out that it wasnt specified on the Menu, the waiter couldnt explain, so we just left, and I dont think I'll ever be back again. I have never ever heard something that silly, they obviously dont need business and dont know anything about customer service!

Port House Pintxo
12 Eustace Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

One of my favourite places to go!! for the central location, the tasty food, the prices, and the atmosphere...realxed,romantic,candle lit, with stones and trendy furniture, and it has a terrace too...the place just looks amazing!(even the bathrooms!)..just love this place!my fave:patatas bravas!Just wish portions were bigger, but hey it's Tapas! :-)

Dante (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I have to agree with other comments: even though food and service are good, this place has no atmosphere, it's def. missing something..no personality, no Italian character at all...

Knights Bistro @ The Arlington Hotel
23-25 Bachelors Walk, O'Connell Bridge, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I love to bring visitors to the Arlington dinner and show, its free and brilliant! and the Irish menu is quite nice!

profile_review

Maloti
34-35 South William Street, South William Street, Dublin

Food is really good quality, and great presentation and service. Good value early bird. Its just a pity the atmosphere is so modern and bright and loud, as we prefere the typical Indian restaurants!

The Upper Deck duplicate
Harbour Road, Above the Waterside Pub, Howth, Dublin

Had an early bird here once, but cant wait to go back again! It was really good food at good value, nice atmosphere and good service!

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Been here for the first time last month,I have to say food was very original, well presented, very nice. Not sure about the lack of atmosphere though, eating in big tables with other people, bright lights and downstairs..Felt like I was in a school canteen! Wouldn'T go there on a romantic date!

profile_review

Cafe Leon
Wicklow Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Yeah food is nice and well presented, but I can think of much better places to have a sandwich, without being ripped off..I cant believe the hype about this place, only cause its French style they have ridiculous prices, and people are happy to pay? :-)

profile_review

Botticelli Ice Cream
3 Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

This is the only place in Dublin where you can find real ice cream so I was thrilled...but after seeing the price and tasting the ice cream,I'd rather book a flight to Italy and eat it there..cheaper and much much nicer hehee

The Harbour Master Restaurant & Bar
Custom House Dock, I.F.S.C Dublin 1, IFSC, Dublin

Love this place, one the best venue in Dublin, with a great view on the docks!

profile_review

The Porterhouse (Parliament Street)
Parliament Street le Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

This is one of my fave Pubs in Dublin, its so big, and offers a huge selections of beers, plus it's a great venue for live music. Food good as well.

profile_review

La Peniche @ RIASC
Barge Riasc, Mespil Road Jetty, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

A bit expensive, but I had to try it for my birthday..so romantic and original.. I have to say Staff was exceptional, and the food was delicious, also the cruise is a great experience but is very short, its a pity, would love to go a bit further..

Da Tang Noodle House
2 Middle Street Mews, Galway City, Galway

Careful: the map here is wrong! This is one of the nicest places to eat in Galway for atmosphere, food quality and choice, and service was great too (waitress was an italian girl funny enough, she was very helpful)Will be back again!

profile_review

Holywell Il Molino
Bridge Mills, O’Briens Bridge, Galway, Galway City, Galway

What a location! Such beautiful, cosy, romantic place and plenty of space between tables, so it's great for a date! Service was quick, friendly Italian staff. Food was lovely; Green homemade ravioli with courgette, really good and caprese salad lovely! The garlic bread was the best! Pizza wasn't great, but everything else was perfect!

profile_review

Kumar's Taste of Asia
Swan House, Swan Street, Flood Street, Galway City, Galway

Had one of the best Indian food ever! Atmosphere is very cosy,in historic surroundings and romantic lights. Waiter really friendly and service quick. The only problem was when paying bill:we ordered a platter of starters,(it was a couple of each)and they charged 5euro for EACH starter!very expensive but worth it I guess

profile_review

Eddie Rockets (Galway)
6 Eglinton Court, Eglinton Street, Galway City, Galway

You cant go wrong with Eddie Rockets, especially like in this case, where they've a special Hunger Buster Menu; 9.99€ for ANY burger, fries and drink! Very good value and great service, the only problem is communicating with Staff: we asked for melted cheese and had to send it back twice!

profile_review

Finnegans
No. 2 Market Street, Galway City, Galway

Me and b.friend ust had dinner here tonight. Outside, it looks like your typical Irish pub, but it's actually more like a Restaurant, nice atmosphere even though small tables. You have 2 options for a meal deal at 14,95€: either starter and main course (himself had chowder and chicken with vegs)or main and dessert (I had veg.lasagne and apple pie). Food was quick and very nice, big portions, and good service.

profile_review

Cornucopia
19/20 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

After reading so much about it, I finally tried it for lunch! (Advice: go there around 2 or 3pm,when everyone's gone back to work!) It was great to sit down, outside lashing rain, have a potato/aubergine soup, basil bread, and potato salad with goats cheese tomato with Tuscan bread salad, all of this for 8euro!I work very close, and it's the 1st time here...will go soon again!

profile_review

Taco Taco
Unit 19 Epicurean Food Hall, Liffey Street Lower, City Centre North, Dublin

Great Mexican lunch on the go! I love the chicken quesadilla, their guacamole and cheese, their little varied colourful dishes that are so quick and cheap! There should be more of these places; it’s a totally different fast food!

profile_review

The Tower Bar & Bistro
The Waterside House Hotel, North Co. Dublin , Donabate, Dublin

A stunning location, just on Donabate beach, could be ideal for a Sunday meal, if only it wasn’t packed with families and screaming kids! A bit overpriced too. But sitting outside, having your meal, and looking at the sea, is something really special that makes it worth

profile_review

Bad Ass Cafe
Crown Alley, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Such an institution in Dublin! Everyone knows the food and the place is very basic, nearly scruffy, but who cares, it’s the Bad Ass Cafe! But it’s always so crowded! I think most of the people (esp. tourists) go there because it's in Temple Bar, or because Sinead O’Connor worked there! All the same, a very fun unpretentious place to eat some nice grub!

One thing you really have to try here: (surprisingly) the desserts! I strongly suggest the MONGOLIAN VELVET: absolutely to die for! I love this place, good food at good value! Eddie Rockets (Parnell Centre)
Parnell Centre, City Centre North, Dublin

Ok, I love Eddie Rockets, no doubt about it. But WHY do they not serve chips with their burgers? Come on, you cant have burgers served on a tiny dish, without a nice side!!! That's a shame! Tried nachos last note, not great (they have cheese SAUCE, not melted cheese!) but the cheesy chicken was lovely and....OH MY GOD, the Oreo Vanilla Malt is absolutely PERFECT!!!!! I agree thought, staff should speak decent English, they can't even understand words like "melted" (and mind you, I'm not native Irish myself!)

profile_review

The Alamo Restaurant
22 Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

Oh this is such a nice place! In the middle of the chaos of Temple Bar, but such a cosy atmosphere, and lovely food! I love the wooden benches and the soft lights, the cheerful atmosphere, and the early bird! Or the take away menu, very good value!

profile_review

Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Captain America is an institution in Dublin, everyone’s been here! The atmosphere is always great, staff very friendly, food is very tasty! We often go here just for a dessert, as they're the within the best and the biggest in town!!

profile_review

Avoca Cafe (Suffolk Street)
Avoca, 11 Suffolk Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I regularly have lunch here, as I work nearby, and I have to say it never disappoints me...Either upstairs, for when you feel like a big fancy lunch with your friends/aunties/colleagues or downstairs, where you get a quick cheap salad (everyday it's different), I normally get a good portion, enough for me, for about 2 euro! GREAT place. Cheese muffin, baguettes, cakes to take away, are sooo good! Soups, chicken, vegetarian ciabatta and pizzas with fresh original ingredients..Mmmhh.. All recommended! Also, you get lots of European stuff, chocolate, cheese that you can’t find anywhere... And staff are always friendly!

profile_review

The Mandarin Castle
Unit 10 Castleknock Village Centre, West Dublin, Castleknock, Dublin

The Mandarin is a very popular Chinese restaurant, small but with a nice enough atmosphere, and food not too bad, it’s always busy though: for some reason, Castleknock people LOVE it; (honestly I really don’t see why, as to me it's very average, but there you go!).

profile_review

Ming Court Chinese Restaurant
Unit 453 Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I agree with those who say it's more for larger crowds than a romantic dinner...No atmosphere, and very busy, so waiters are running all over the place, and keep interrupting your dinner asking you if it's all ok too many times, (as like "order more or get out of here, quickly") and the food is not that exceptional. Wouldn't go there again, sorry.

profile_review

Bellagio
92 Terenure Road North, Dublin 6W, Terenure, Dublin

Had dinner here only once, and it was one of the best pizza I had in Dublin, real Italian cheese and tomato sauce, and Italian waiters.

profile_review

Nancy Hands Bar & Restaurant (Near Dublin Zoo)
30-32 Parkgate Street, Parkgate Street, Dublin

I have to agree with who doesn’t understand why this place captures so much attention and positive comments: they say it's one of the best pub in Dublin, but I found it very normal...Sorry but I cant see why someone would have a romantic dinner here, to me it's only a Pub like many, and the area is not even that nice!

profile_review

Akash Indian Restaurant
7 Georges Ave, South Co. Dublin, Blackrock, Dublin

If this is the one I think, where you get lunch set menu for 9€, then I can say it's the best Indian we've ever been, value is amazing: starter, 2 main courses, rice or naan, dessert!!! And quite big portion, lovely flavour, good service, different choices, and the poppadums are THE BEST ever!

profile_review

Acapulco Restaurant
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Great food, big portions, nice atmosphere! Prices are ok, staff quite nice, the only thing is: it's too hot!

profile_review

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had lunch there today, absolutely delicious and so cheap! I was amazed, you can still find REAL FOOD in Dublin for 2,50€!! And even though only Tapas, portions are generous, so you can have a really nice lunch for 5 or 6€, sitting down in a small candle lit room with stone vaults and nice atmosphere! Amazing, wish I had discovered before. Heard so much about it but had never thought they'd serve real Tapas, and not for those prices anyway! Waiters very nice, service real quick, value great!

profile_review

Dunne And Crescenzi (Sandymount)
11 Seafort Avenue, Dublin 4, Sandymount, Dublin

Real Italian food, by real Italians! I liked this place, but I agree portions are too small, and prices are a bit too big. Also, no pizza on the menu, strange. But still, a very very nice restaurant.

profile_review

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I haven't been to the Restaurant upstairs, but I can strongly recommend the ground floor sandwich bar. I often go to F for lunch and I have to say the staff is extremely nice and helpful, the sandwiches are delicious, and you can eat downstairs in the wine bar, which is sooo relaxing, candle lit and chill out music! Nice place for lunch or for business meetings, for a quick breakfast or for an afternoon snack. The only place I know with European style meat-fish-cheese counters. Great!
