I ate here with a friend on a Tuesday night. We both had bruschetta to start (I had the pomodoro, my friend had the black olive) and it was just delicious! I had pasta with chicken and red pesto for mains and my friend had the seafood risotto - both plates were scraped clean! That was all washed down with a half litre of the quite palatable house red. The food was really great, and terrific value. I will return - I can't believe it's taken me so long to eat here.

I dined here on Monday night. Restaurant was very quiet, probably because it was a Monday night, but it lacked atmosphere as a result. Service was great though, and the food was delicious. I had a beef risotto and my friend had the sea bass from the specials list. I would come back here again, but maybe on a busier night.

Oscars Seafood Bistro (Galway)
Lower Dominic Street, Galway City, Galway

This place is just great! I brought 3 friends here and we were all blown away by the food. Everything was just delicious. For mains I had steak, cooked perfectly. My friends all had the fish special which they were really pleased with. We were looked after very well by our waitress, a great experience overall. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion, as this place is not cheap, but it's well worth it!

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I had brunch here with a friend on Sunday morning. It wasn't very busy, so when we asked to be moved from our draughty seat beside the door, it was no problem. My friend had the skillet fry up, which she said was very tasty. I had the eggs with smoked salmon which was quite tasty too. Maybe a little over priced for what we got but overall a good experience. Would go back.

Tulsi Restaurant
3 Buttermilk Walk, Galway City, Galway

I ate here with a friend on Monday night. The restaurant was quiet, so the staff were attentive. The food was really delicious, more than enough in the main course alone to fill. The prices are around average for an Indian restaurant. I really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely return!

Holywell Il Molino
Bridge Mills, O’Briens Bridge, Galway, Galway City, Galway

I've eaten here a few times and always had a good experience. The starter of bruschetta to share is fantastic. All the portions are large (especially considering the reasonable price), and you can takeaway any leftover pizza. On this occasion I had the Pizza Holywell which was really tasty. My friend had the ravioli, which she said was delicious. House wine is available on tap, or you can choose from the winelist. Service is good, and if you get a table near the mill, the setting is lovely. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

McSwiggans
3 Eyre Street, Woodquay, Galway

I visited this restaurant on a Tuesday as part of a group of 18. Service was good, but the waiter wasn't so friendly. The food was great, no complaints from everyone, and it arrived very quickly. Great value for money, but make sure to book ahead. If you opt for an early sitting (like we did, at 6.30) be aware that you my have to vacate your table by a certain time - which can be difficult with a large group! Very pleased overall.

Good place for a good, quick pizza. Service is ok, but it can get pretty busy and noisy in the evenings.

Buon Appetito
Upperr Abbeygate Street, Galway City, Galway

I ate here with a friend in the evening earlier this week. They have changed the menu since my last visit, with a bit of a price hike. I had the spinach and ricotta tortellini, which was tasty. We shared a bottle of the house merlot, which just acceptable for its €18 price tag. The atmosphere is quite relaxed and intimate. Staff are friendly, but annoyingly we had been asked twice if we were ready to order within 1 minute of sitting down. Food here is tasty and reasonably priced, but don't expect to be blown away!

Dunne And Crescenzi (South Frederick Street)
14-16 South Frederick Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here last weekend. We arrived early - before 8 and got a table no problem. Menu was disappointingly limited, and the layout was quite confusing. We shared a starter of mozarella and chargrilled veg, and I had the special "Lasagne al Ragu". My friends had a tuna dish and pasta dish. Portion sizes were small for the price. We ordered extra bread which took an age to arrive (starter was practically finished)and when the bill came we had been charged for the bread three times. We shared a selection of biscotti to finish, which we were also overcharged for. Bill came to just over €30 each, including 2 bottles of house red and a modest tip. We weren't overly impressed, and I won't return. I've eaten in better Italians than this.
