I've been here for lunch quite a few times. The food never disappoints! I usually order the Lunch Bento without even needing to see whats in it :) The service is great - I'm always in and out within the hour and the food arrives quite fast. I also love the Yaki Udon. They have long benches if you have a gang which is great for a group Friday lunch.

Anar
101 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Terenure, Dublin

Myself and my partner went here on Saturday night. We loved the food. We shared the vege mix plate to start. It was demolished :) I thought I would want more flatbread as it was lovely but I'm glad as I couldn't finish my main as it was... I had the chicken kebab which was really tasty. It comes with plenty rice, a small salad and sauce. My partner has a lamb stew dish which was also really good. We were too full for dessert. Also enjoyed the persian tea in a massive tea pot. It was only a pity the restaurant wasn't busier on a Sat night as they have a big space and its very tastefully decorated. Looking forward to going back and bringing my family in a few weeks time :)

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I was taken here for my birthday and we really enjoyed the meal. The goats cheese starter was delish. The crab starter looked amazing. I had the jalapeno tiger prawn and crab claws for my main - it was really nice - the fish was cooked perfected. I was a little disappointed with the lack of jalapenos ( i only got one jalapeno hit in the whole dish!) but it was probably a blessing in desguise for my stomach anyway :P It came with a slice of yummy crusty sourdoagh and chunky chips. We forced ourselves to have a dessert... I had the Eton Mess.. it was nice but there was a lot of cream and it was hard to avoid in the type of glass it was served in.. that's probably just my taste though. The ice cream at the bottom was delicious and I would prefer more meringue. We topped off our meal with cocktails - I chose the Margarita - hmmm superb! Defo recommend but a bit pricy. Restaurant is way bigger than I expected so suitable for big groups out for a treat to celebrate an occasion :)

Beckett & Bull
53 Rathgar Avenue, Rathgar, Dublin

First time I had dinner here was a very miserable Sunday evening. The door opened as we were running in from the rain and we were greeted with a big smile and offers to take our coats and umbrellas. We were given some toasted curled tortilla pieces as we waited for our starters with a really fab spicy tomato dip. The chicken wings to start are delish. Also tried the prawns yum. I had the mexican burger which is good value with some chunky wedges on the side. The chilli chocolate melting cake was just what we needed to finish off a big meal. Really unusual. Will be back :) Great to have a nice restaurant so near. Also superb for brunch. I can't get enough of that tomato relish!

Kanum Thai
16 Orwell Rd, Dublin 4, Rathgar, Dublin

Got a delivery from here today. Very disappointing. Same prices as other Thai restaurants but seriously lacking in quality. I only ordered two things and they forgot to deliver one. I'm not sure i'll even get a refund for what didn't arrive. I ordered the Duck Massaman. It was one blob in a container. The duck was extremely fatty and the rice was stodgy. Most of it went in the bin. Needless to say I won't be back..

Rustic Stone
South George's Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here for the first time with my boyfriend for his birthday. The half or full portion option on the starters was great as we just wanted a taste to wet our appetite. I had the prawn starter which was lovely and beautifully presented. The crab starter was delicious. For mains my partner ordered a pasta which was lovely and fresh. I ordered the lamb burger and boy was I in for a surprise! It was huge!! Gorgeous layers and yummy jumbo side chips on the side with fresh pesto. It also came with a sauce and a lamb shish kebab. The waiter took time to talk me through everything that was on the plate and was very friendly. we were both stuffed so shared a dessert. It was a yogurt with sorbet and an almond tart. Perfect way to finish a big meal :) Would definitely recommend and there are some cheaper options on the menu if you can't afford to splash out. I think it would be lovely for a small bite and a glass of wine with the girls after shopping! Great quality, attention to detail and best service i've had in a while. Everything was very fresh and beautifully presented. Definitely recommend :) I can't wait to go back

FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Myself and 2 friends were celebrating a birthday. This was the most disappointing dinner I've had in a long time and was such a shame. Firstly, I arrived 15 mins early so sat out the front. Not one person offered to take a drinks order even though the wine list was left on the table. The room is extremely noisy and its hard to hold a conversation without repeating yourself constantly. My duck and orange salad was nice but I only got 2 small orange segments (they look like the ones you get from a can) and it was very dry. My friend had fish cakes and found 3 bones in them! For main I had the prawns and it was a strange meal.. a bowl of prawns, side salad and a slice of soda bread. The prawns were lovely but I would have liked something a bit more for my €25. My other friends got the lamb. It came out very overcooked. Not the slightest bit of pink in the meat. It was very chewy. The potatoes were underdone. They didn't want to make a fuss and ruin the birthday. When the waiter was collecting their plates and noticed half left behind he asked if everything was okay. My friend said the meat was chewy and overcooked but she didn't want to make a fuss earlier. The head waitress came over and said 'I thought you said everything was okay earlier'. She brought out 3 complimentary glasses of prosecco. The birthday girl doesn't drink. We had previously asked to bring out our friends dessert with a candle. Before we ordered desserts they brought out A dessert for her and sang happy birthday which was nice... except she didn't get a chance to order what she wanted and doesn't eat cheesecake. It did have some chocolate moose on the side which was nice. I ordered the ice cream and sorbet which came out without any sorbet! It was like a childs dessert but was the same price as the full ice cream and sorbet dessert. All in all, no attention to detail, no quality but extremely overpriced.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Liffey Valley)
Unit 40B, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Liffey Valley, Dublin

Hi, Decided to go for a quick burger after shopping in Liffey Valley as we were starving. First, we were kept waiting outside with 3 tables empty inside the restaurant. By the time we were seated about 3 couples behind us were seated the same time. Then they took the order of everyone else who came after us first and never came over to us. We had to shout for someone to come and take our order after about 15 minutes waiting. I was tempted to leave at this point. The starters came out pretty much straight away. I had the hollumi cheese which was okay but wouldn't have it again. Cajun chicken pieces were much nicer. I got L&P because i loved it when I lived in NZ but unfortunately it was flat and wasn't very nice. We were then waiting nearly an hour, watching burgers go out to every other table but ours. When we asked why was there such a delay we were told they accidentally stamped our docket and thought we had gotten our food already. They were very apologetic and gave us our meal for free and offered us more starters while we waited. I still wouldn't go back. Obviously very badly organized and managed. 1 1/2 hours for a burger. Disaster.

Chocolat
109, O'Connell St, Limerick City, Limerick

Myself and 3 friends went here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We had the steak wrap, blt, a salad and a club sandwich. The waitress was quite rude. She barely acknowledged our order as she went around the table. My friend is allergic to tomatoes so asked for a plain club sandwich with just bacon, chicken and cheese. When the food arrived his sandwich was a standard club sandwich with lots of tomatoes in it. We had to send it back and the rest of us had nearly finished by the time his sandwich arrived. When it did arrive it only had bacon and cheese - no chicken. We waited quite a while to order coffees and in the end interrupted a different waiter who was very nice to take an order. I had ordered a latte and when it arrived it was very obviously a cappuccino with no chocolate on top. I had a nice big mound of foam for my saucer and less coffee. She also rudely dumped the cup of tea down in front of my friend who ordered the club sandwich. All in all I think with any other waiter/waitress we might have enjoyed our Sunday lunch. She obviously did not want to be there...

The Larder Restaurant
8 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here with two friends last Saturday night. We passed by and noted it as our "back up plan" if the restaurant we were planning on going to was too full. When we arrived there were no tables but they took our number and called us after 20 minutes when a table was ready. We were too late for the Early bird but with main courses for €14 we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food! I had the lamb burger with tzatzi (can never pronnounce or spell that word). It was gorgeous. My friends were also very impressed with the slow roasted Pork and the cod. The cod looked a little on the small side but we had ordered a side of potatoes. Also, had a lovely Sav Blanc as the house white :) Will definitely be back - especially for the Early bird of two courses for €15
