We went to this restaurant for our christmas work dinner. I have eaten here on a number of occasions in the past and it never disappoints. Although I am a vegetarian, I still love to eat here. They usually only have one vegetarian dish on the menu on any given night but it is always a different one each time and has always been delicious. The desserts are yummy too! Portions are more than sufficient as the food tends to be on the rich side. Looking forward to my next visit!!

Avoca
Moll's Gap, Kenmare, Kerry

We stopped off at this cafe yesterday to have some lunch. Seating is upstairs above the Avoca shop with beautiful views of the ring of kerry. They don't really serve hot food mostly just salads, cold plates and quiches and of course soup but their salads are so tasty! They also have a large selection of tempting looking desserts! In the shop downstairs you can buy the avoca cookbook if you fancy recreating their salads etc at home. They generally get a lot of bus groups stopping off for lunch on route around the ring of Kerry but not a problem at this time of year!

Milano (Dun Laoghaire)
1 Harbour Square, Crofton Road, South Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

We went to this restaurant whilst staying at a nearby hotel as we wanted to eat elsewhere one of the nights. As pizzerias go it wasn't the worst. Service was friendly and prompt and the pizzas were tasty. Prices are quite reasonable so it served the purpose and the location is very convenient by the seafront.

De Barras
The Square, Bantry, Bantry, Cork

This is a busy spot especially on a friday morning. Great for a coffee and cake or scone or even a light lunch. The staff are very friendly and there is plenty of seating. Ideal for meeting up with friends for a chat or for a quick bite after doing the shopping.

Seaview House Hotel
Ballylickey, Bantry, Cork

We went here for our anniversary. The meal was superb. Everything was excellent - I really couldn't find any fault with the whole meal.As the food tends to be quite rich the portion sizes are adequate. The service was excellent too. However as it is on the expensive side at €45.00 for a two course meal it is well worth it for those special occasions.

The Martello
Garnish Court, Glengarriff, Cork

I went here one saturday night with a few friends for an early bird dinner. It is a small restaurant but the setting is quite nice. The atmosphere is particularly nice here and is suitable if you are looking for a quite meal with one or more friends. The menu will cater for most tastes and the portion sizes are sufficient. Prices are quite reasonable but the early bird menu is particularly good value at €25.00 for 3 courses! The staff are very pleasant too. One word or warning though - for some unknown reason they do not accept credit cards so make sure you have enough cash and remember there is no ATM in Glengarriff!!!!

Bullys Restaurant - CLOSED
40 Paul Street Cork, Cork City, Cork

My partner and I went to this restaurant for our lunch yesterday. We had been shopping all morning so we were both famished and exhausted. Thankfully we found the food enjoyable and value for money. I had the vegetarian pasta dish and my partner had a pizza. Both were under a tenner each. The restaurant is quite narrow, a bit cramped but is fine really. Staff are friendly and food arrived promptly. So overall a good experience. Would definately go back again.
