I have been here four times now and it never disappoints! Myself and a friend had lunch in Flanagan's Lounge. We had the special offer carvery for a two course it was €13.95! Which is excellent value. For mains i had the chicken curry with rice and chips and it was delicious! For desert I had the death by chocolate cake - once again this was delicious! Staff are very friendly and helpful and atmosphere was nice too.

Myself and My husband dined here on Saturday night. As usual it was delightful! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! We ate from the special set menu which was three courses with a glass of wine for just €28 per person! To start I had the Grilled Lamb Tenderloin which was served with baby vegetables on a skewer. This was cooked to perfection! Then for mains I had the Gang Sum Sea Bass accompanied with rice - again this was delicious! And for dessert I had the Coconut Sorbet - it came with a chocolate and peanut cracker and slices of pineapple and chili!!! Both myself and my husband enjoyed every bite of all our dishes!! Service is great - all waiters/waitresses and the owner Tim are extremely attentive and friendly! The atmosphere as always is welcoming and relaxed whilst this restaurant is always busy so I would say reservations are a must! A good night out is guaranteed!

Jamuna Indian Restaurant (Meath)
4A, Ashbourne Court, Main Street, Ashbourne, Meath

Myself, my husband and four friends ate here for my birthday. We all ate from the special offer menu - €45 for three course meal for two and a selected bottle of wine. Which was great value - food was delicious but the third course was just a regular coffee or tea so that was a little disappointing! and our waitress informed us they could not do a latte or any milk based coffee as they had no way of heating the milk except in the microwave?? So that was a little worrying!! The restaurant was very quiet for a bank holiday weekend so lacked a little atmosphere but we had a lovely quiet meal! The service wasn't too bad - our waitress seemed unfamiliar with the menu perhaps she was new? All in all it was great food and good value!

Wrights Cafe Bar
The Plaza, Swords, Swords, Dublin

Myself, my husband, his brother and his wife ate here for lunch on Sunday. I was eager to try the steak deal they have on offer (€10 for steak, chips and onion rings!)- as I heard it was excellent and indeed it was! The deserts were fab too! Everything we had was delicious! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The service was excellent, the staff was very attentive and I would definitely recommend this cafe bar to friends for lunch or dinner!

My Thai
The Beacon Hotel, Beacon Court, Dublin 18, Sandyford, Dublin

I ate here on Saturday evening as myself and my husband stayed in the hotel. The food was delicious! To start I had the Gai Satay (skewered Chicken Satay) and for mains i had the Thai green curry both were equally delicious! To finish i had the brownie with ice-cream which was very tasty! The service was very good although there was only three other tables at the time we were there so very quiet and not much of an atmosphere! I would definitely recomend this restaurant for Thai food and overall good value

I had dinner here after a hectic day shopping at Kildare Village. This is my second visit and i will return again, It was a Sunday afternoon and it was very busy but the service and food was still excellent! We had the main and desert offer for €13.95 per person which was great value! I had the stuffed chicken and vegetables then i had the death by chocolate cake and both were delicious. It was cold and raining outside and the atmosphere in Silken Thomas was fab - warm and welcoming! Staff are friendly and the food is delicious.

Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Myself and two friends ate here to start off our girly night out. We had booked for eight o clock and we were seated upstairs, to be honest it was jam packed and there was a large party seated beside us as-well as live music so we could barely hear each other talk! This was not a good start!! We all had chicken wings to start - the portions are huge and we should have got one between three instead of one each! as we were quite full when mains came!! I had the chicken campagnola which was delicious but the girls were disappointed with theirs they both opted for fish one the melody of seafood and the other the seabass. Once again portions were quite big and sides were offered even though the seabass came with potatoes already! So needless to say there was a lot of food wasted! The service was good for a busy Saturday night and we received complimentary drinks as the noise from the party was noted! All in all it was ok but I would not rush back to be honest!

Noble House - Malahide Rd
Northern Cross, Malahide Road, Malahide, Dublin

Myself and my Husband ate here on Father's day - I was surprised it was not busier because of this! We ate from the early bird menu as we arrived just before 5pm which was €18.50 per person for a two course - We both had the Chicken Satay to start and the Chicken Curry for mains. The food was delicious but the portions were quite small! The chicken satay was just one skewer where in other restaurants its usually two or three! But it was very tasty! The decor was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and although the food was delicious it was quite pricey for what we received!

Madhobi Indian Cuisine
25G Malahide Road, Artane, Dublin 5, Artane, Dublin

Myself and my husband dined here for the first time whilst in Artane. For starters I had the Murgh chaat then the Chicken Jalfrezi with Pilau rice - Everything was delicious! My husband had Lamb ribs to start and Lamb Balti with Pilau Rice for mains - He also enjoyed every bite! We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant from start to finish! The staff were so friendly, service was excellent and the food was delicious. Madhobi are waiting for there alcohol licence - when this is received it will be an added bonus! Unfortunately we wont be able to visit as much as we live in Ashbourne, Co. Meath but when in Artane we will definitely be back again!

Shanard Restaurant @ the Regency Hotel
Swords Road, North Dublin, Drumcondra, Dublin

Myself, my mam ad my sister ate here on Mothers Day - and we will not return! For starters we had the Cream of Vegetable Soup - which was burnt! We had the Beef and mixed vegetables and potatoes for the main and this dish was overcooked even though it was served with a savoury jus this dish was extremely dry!! To finish we had the Regency Medley of mini treats - this was also such a disappointment! There was one profiterole with a lack of chocolate sauce! A small strawberry cheesecake - which was just awful! A small trifle which was just edible! All three courses were equally as disappointing and in my opinion a waste of money! We will not be returning and unfortunately have nothing good to say reagrding the food we recieved!

The Orchid Chinese Restaurant
12 New Street, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

I dined here on Saturday night with a party of nine for a 50th birthday. Service was excellent and the food was good. It was a little pricey! But everyone enjoyed there meals and the staff were very friendly and made it special for our party! When we first arrived the restaurant was full but this was another larger party and when they left it was quiet with not much atmosphere. Whilst we all enjoyed it i will try some other restaurants in malahide when i return as there is so much choice.

Bradys Castleknock Inn
Old Navan Road, Castleknock, Dublin

I had dinner here on Friday evening and I am sure to return. Myself and my Mam dined here - I had the chicken wings to start and then the chicken fajitas which came with chips also. Mam had the ribs to start and then the sirloin steak. Both dishes were delicious and the portions were huge! There is a great variety on the menu. The Service was excellent - friendly and efficient. We really enjoyed our dining experience the only thing i could complain about is the portions were huge!!

Silken Thomas
The Square, Kildare Town, Kildare Town, Kildare

Myself and a friend popped in here after a few hours at Kildare Village. It was a wednesday afternoon but it was busy enough we ate from the bar menu but carvery was available also. We were served immediately - prompt and very friendly! The food was good and very reasonably priced Soup and a Sandwich was just €2.50 and coffee and a dessert was just €4.95!

profile_review

Kitty Hawks Bar & Bistro
Carlton Airport Hotel, Old Airport Road, Cloughran, Cloghran, Dublin

Myself and my family ate lunch here as we stayed in the hotel for my sister’s wedding. We all had the carvery which was delicious! It was reasonably priced and I would recommend it if you are in the area. I will be returning tomorrow afternoon with a group of friends and look forward to it!

Scotch Bonnet Urban Cafe
4 Church Road, South Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

I ate here for the second time - Myself and my husband returned after really enjoying our first visit! We arrived 10 minutes early and ended up sitting at the bar / sofa area for about 20/30 minutes (this is where we were served our starters while waiting on our table - this was a little uncomfortable and messy - (chicken wings))!! Anyhow we opted for the Steak out Thursday meal deal which was 2 starters, 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for €40!! Which was a steal but to our disappointment it was a specific starter and the chicken wings were not an option!!? (Not advised of this on the menu board) So the starter was a pastrami salad which was delicious but quite small so we were advised by the waiter to order the chicken wings too which we did thankfully! The steak was nice and the wine was ok. As we were still hungry we had dessert - I had the chocolate fudge brownie and my husband had the sticky toffee pudding and both were equally delicious. The total bill came to €62.00 as we ended up adding on a starter and deserts. I was a little disappointed with the service we received and did not enjoy sitting on the sofa waiting 20/ 30 minutes for my main even though we had a reservation. But most importantly the food again - was delicious.

Cafe Studio
Top Floor Arnotts, Henry Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Ate lunch here with mam. We had carvery so it was self service. I had the Indian Chicken Curry with Rice, I asked for chips but they had none and they advised they were too busy to make any! The curry was lovely but the rice was hard and totally ruined the dish. Mam had Beef, Mash and Veg - It was cold and the meat was'nt cooked to her liking so neither of us felt it was money well spent! It was €10.95 per dish and in my opinion was not worth it!

profile_review

Il Sorriso Restaurant
New Street, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

I had lunch here with two friends this afternoon. We ate from the Early Bird Menu which is €16.95, I had the Bruschetta to start then the Pollo Boscaiola (Chicken breast with mushrooms, peppers, onions in a fresh tomato sauce) with a portion of chips and a glass of Red wine then coffee to finish. The food was delicious but the chips were not cooked fresh and seemed as they were reheated? It was very quiet so there was not much of an atmosphere but this was mid afternoon. The staff was very friendly and polite. Both my friends enjoyed their food too and I would definitely go back again.

Old Plaza Restaurant
Unit 20, 1st Floor, The Plaza, Swords, Dublin

Myself and 10 friends ate here for my sister’s Hen party last week. We had a wonderful night - everything was great the staff was very friendly, the food was delicious and reasonably priced and the atmosphere was great too! There was Karaoke on the night we were there so that was good fun and when we were leaving they presented my sister with a framed group photo of us all which they took earlier that night! This was a lovely surprise! I would definitely recommend this Chinese for a group of people and I will return again if I’m in the area.

Mix Asian Fusion Restaurant
Unit 7, First Floor, Corballis Shopping Centre, Ratoath, Meath

Myself and my husband had a take away from here this evening. We had the Thai green curry with noodles and chips. It was very tasty and good value too. There is a great selection on this menu and I look forward to tasting some more dishes.

Bits and Pizzas
15 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Myself and my mum had lunch here and I used the 30 euro menu points voucher. We ate from the special value menu - which is great value. I had the Chicken pizza and mum had the Chicken Caesar salad and a portion of wedges. Then I had a caramel shortcake with coffee and mum had a Knickerbocker Glory from the main menu. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The total cost of the bill was €36.05. If in Dunlaoghaire area I would definitely recommend it.

Chilli Banana
112 Upper Drumcondra Road, North Dublin, Drumcondra, Dublin

Myself and my husband ate here last Sunday. It was a last minute decision as our original choice was fully booked as it was father’s day all restaurants in the area were very busy! We got a table here but were advised they needed it back in an hour so needless to say we really rushed our food down! This was a major disappointment to us but everything else was fab. The tables were a little too close together but the atmosphere was great. We were on our way to the Take That concert in Croke park as were most of the customers here! The food was delicious - we both had the chicken satay to start, I had the Thai green curry with chicken and rice and my husband had the beef stir-fry with noodles unfortunately they do not offer chips which we both wanted too! This is very strange as to be honest a lot of people like chips and rice with their curry’s etc?? We finished with the chocolate cake and sticky toffee pudding. It is a little pricey but the food and service was excellent. We will definitely return.

Juliano's
Unit 1 High Street, Ashbourne Town Centre, Ashbourne, Meath

Myself and my husband returned to Julianos on Easter Sunday for another fabulous meal. We first came across Juliano's whilst out for a walk with our son. We had just missed out on the Early Bird Offer by 20 minutes but as the owner Julian seen our interest whilst looking at the menu he said if we like we could sill order from that so of course we tried it and to our enjoyment it was delicious and amazing value. Unfortunately the restaurant is slightly out of sight so can be missed. The service was prompt and friendly and on both visits we ate from the Early Bird Menu which is great value and has great variety of dishes. Inside it is very contemporary with coloured glass panels running under the counters that run into the open plan kitchen. I would reccomend the chicken wings or bruschetta to start, spaquetti bolognese & the chocolate cake to finish! We are looking forwar to our next visit

Jamuna Indian Restaurant (Meath)
4A, Ashbourne Court, Main Street, Ashbourne, Meath

Myself and my husband ate here after we heard the restaurant had been taken over and was under new management as we had a bad experience in the past. Firstly the food is delicious and portions are more than enough. However the waiter we had was not extremely friendly and this does take away from a good service. We had two chicken shashlick Kebabs for starters which were huge! and delicious then we both had the Chicken Jalfrezzi with Rice and Chips which was hot yet delicious. We had a bottle of the house red and a bottle of still water. Our bill came to just €75 which I felt was a little pricey for what we had but the food was delicious. Although it was very quiet, there is a nice cosy warm atmosphere here and we will return.

Kay’s Food Hall
Blanchardstown Centre, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

Myself and my husband had lunch here on christmas eve, it was very busy but we managed to get a table. There was a bakery, a Wok Station, a hot food counter, and a sandwich section, So we opted for the sandwiches and chips (Special Meal Deal offer). It cost €20 for two sandwiches with chips and bottled water which we thought was reasonable as what we had was fresh and filling. It was perfect for a quick bite to eat whilst shopping. Service was good although extremely busy.

Hibernian Bistro
Citywest Hotel, Naas Rd, West Dublin, Saggart, Dublin

Had a lovely meal here yesterday evening as myself and my husband were staying at the hotel. It has a lovely atmosphere for casual dining, service was very good, the staff was very friendly and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I would recommend the Cajun Chicken Burger and the Singapore noodles. We will definitely return.

Eatzen Ashbourne
U4 Building 3B, Ashbourne Town Centre, Ashbourne, Meath

Myself and my husband ate here on Saturday evening, we decided to go last minute so had not booked a table - although we did just want a quick bite unfortunately we felt like we were not wanted and the table was wanted more than us! So we did not have starter or desert and both went straight to mains which was as always delicious!! We both had the Chicken fillet with Thai Green Curry, Rice and chips. We have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed all dishes. It is a little pricier than your average Chinese / Thai restaurant but the food is well worth it. Just a little disappointed about the uncomfortable rushed atmosphere we experienced on our last. So i would advise booking a table prior to your visit!

Captain America's Blanchardstown
Unit 40 Blanchardstown, Retail Park 2 Extension Dublin, West Dublin, Blanchardstown, Dublin

Myself and my mum popped in here for a quick lunch while shopping in Blanchardstown. We decided to order from the lunchtime menu which we felt was great value! €9.99 for a selection of mains and a drink to include soft drink or bottle of Heineken or glass of rose. We both went for the cheese burger and fries with a soft drink. The service was quick and staff member was friendly but the food was terribly disappointing it was literally a cheese burger and fries! I thought this would have come with a small side salad or at least a garnish of tomato, onion and lettuce on the burger! But instead we were handed a plate of fries with a cheese burger and 1 piece of dried up cucumber on half a leaf of lettuce!!! We both immediately thought - should have gone to McDonalds for a big mac!!!

Lady Lucy's Rooftop Restaurant
Carlton Millrace Hotel, Bunclody, Wexford

I visited the restaurant during a stay at the Millrace hotel. I was a little disappointed with the food choice - I was informed the a la carte menu was taken off for the summer so it was just one set menu which we felt was quite limited. The atmosphere is nice and staff are very friendly and helpful. They do not sell wine by the glass so my husband had to buy a bottle for himself! I did not think this was satisfactory especially as part of a hotel! I would say the staff on duty made our visits enjoyable but would not rush back when in Wexford.

The Millbar Bistro @ The Millrace Hotel
Bunclody, Bunclody, Wexford

Myself and my husband stayed at the Millrace hotel for three nights so had lunch at the Mill Bar which consisted of Toasted sandwiches and side salad which is very well priced and beautifully presented. I found the service to be very efficient and the staff were very friendly we also ate dinner in the bistro on one evening which is very casual an suitable for a less formal night out as this is basic bistro bar food again service was efficient and staff very friendly.

Burnell Bar and Grill @ Hilton Dublin Airport Hotel
Northern Cross, Malahide Rd, Coolock, Dublin

I ate here saturday afternoon for the first time. We ate from the early bird carvery menu. This is available up to 3pm on saturdays. There was a great selection of fresh food for only €8.95 for main meal or €11.95 for two courses!! I had the Malaysian Chicken & Coconut Curry with Basmati Rice and a portion of chips. This was very very tasty and portions are filling!! From arrival to departure the staff were great - very friendly and efficient. I found this lunch to be great value. The atmosphere is very relaxed, i enjoyed my visit and will be sure to return soon.

The Goblet
Malahide Road, Artane, Dublin

Myself and mam had a quick lunch here yesterday. We both had the soup of the day which was Homemade Vegetable Soup - €4.25 which came with brown bread. It was tasty and filling. The atmosphere was that of an average pub and the service was very good and staff were friendly, although nothing to write home about i might pop in for another lunch but it did not entice me to go back for dinner.

profile_review

Black Bull Inn
Dublin Road, Drogheda, Louth

This was my second visit to the Blackbull, myself and Mam went on our way home from visiting a friend in Duleek. As it was just 5pm we decided to go with the early bird menu which was €21.95 per person and seemed good value. This is available Monday to Saturday 17.00 – 20.00. I had the homemade soup of the day which was tomato – this was tasty. I then had the chicken curry with rice and chips which was a little too mild for my liking. To finish I had the selection of ice creams. I did not think there was a great selection of food on the early bird menu but enjoyed what I ordered. I did think the a la carte menu was a little pricey for a pub grub style restaurant. The service was good and efficient. The décor is now a little date and in my opinion in need of a refurb. I did not enjoy my visit as I did last year.

Jodh Pur Cafe India
Unit 5 The Crescent, Killegland Street, Ashbourne, Meath

I can’t recommend this café highly enough!! It has the best value most delicious Indian dishes available in Ashbourne! I have had numerous takeaways from here but they also have an eat in café style restaurant and they do deliveries to Ashbourne and the Ratoath Area. My favourite dish would be the Chicken Jalfrezzi – This is a hot dish so may not suit all! It is diced tender chicken cooked with peppers onion & tomatoes in a hot sauce. I can also recommend the Rogan Josh dish which is mild to medium this is chicken, lamb or beef with herbs and spices with tomatoes and coriander. For takeaway most dishes are priced at €7.95!! and this comes with either rice or chips!! Naan bread is only €1.60!! They also give you some complimentary pappadoms with a mint sauce and onion chat with every meal!. This Indian is a hidden gem but unfortunately it is hidden!! I came across it by accident and noticed it is usually quiet when I go down – Although it is extremely central - you would not find it unless you are right down KillegIand Street. It is right opposite the library and Council Office next to the bridal shop. Prices are unbelievable, food is amazing and the service is fantastic - can’t wait for my next visit!!

Woodstock Cafe
156 Phibsboro Road, Phibsboro, Dublin

I had lunch here yesterday and enjoyed my experience. I found the service to be efficient. The food was delicious. They have a good selection of sandwiches salads and two soups for light lunches along with a choice of hot dishes and deserts and delicious scones. It is a nice relaxing place to have lunch. I work nearby so i will now return following my experience yesterday.

Cinnamon Garden Restaurant
Main Street, Ashbourne, Above Molly's Pub, Ashbourne, Meath

Had a takeaway from here on Thursday evening, Have had a few takeaways from here and on all occasions food was delicious. My husband collected the food – he found the staff very welcoming and helpful as did I on my visits. We had Chicken Jalfrezi with pulao rice and chips, along with a portion of naan bread. My husband was asked how hot he would like the jalfrezi which was great as we have never been able to state this before in another popular particular Indian restaurant nearby and find sometimes it’s just too hot!! Although this takeaway is slightly more expensive than a nearby indian cafe the food is delicious, fresh and very well presented and I am eager to try some more dishes.

Grill 21
The Pillo Hotel, The Rath, Ashbourne, Ashbourne, Meath

Myself and my husband had a late lunch here this afternoon. We both had a club sandwich with chips and salad €10.95 each. There was just one waiter serving the bar, lobby and outside seating area, although there was probably only about three other couples eating. We found him to be quite efficient. In my opinion this dish was not worth the price as the sandwich and salad was quite small. The chips were tasty. There was not much of a selection on the menu. Although in my opinion this is overpriced but as this is a local hotel we will probably visit again and try something different.

Seasons Restaurant & Bar
Regency Airport Hotel, Swords Road, North Dublin, Whitehall, Dublin

This is now JJ's Bar and Grill. It’s an American style restaurant serving American food, desserts, soft drinks, beers & cocktails. It is decorated with American memorabilia. We didn’t have starters as opted for a main and dessert. I had the Tony Sopranos Long Island Spaghetti Bolognese which was very tasty and mam had the Jimbos ‘Texas’ BBQ Ribs with chips and coleslaw. This dish was very disappointing; the ribs were flooded in barbeque sauce. There was not much meat on these ribs at all they consisted of mainly fat and bone. We both had the Alabama American Brownie. This was delicious! Hot Chocolate Fudge with dripping caramel sauce topped with Vanilla Ice Cream, Fresh Cream & red cherry. The staff was so nice. They were extremely helpful and efficient and they to be honest would be the only reason I would return! There are many other choices on the menu which are reasonably priced along with the customer service this may be worth a visit.

No. 7 Bistro - CLOSED
Bridge Street, Ashbourne, Ashbourne, Meath

I have returned to this restaurant on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed my food. Myself and My husband went for the early bird offer on our last visit. We went for the 3 course (starter, man and coffee - €19.95, this was good value for money. We both had the bruschetta to start which was delicious, the chargrilled rib eye steak with chips which was tasty and finished off with two coffees. Yet again we cleared our plates!. The restaurant always seems to be quiet with five or six tables spare so there is not much of an atmosphere however we have been mainly midweek or early Sunday evening. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will return again and again as this is a local restaurant with really good food and great customer service.

Frango's World Cuisine
Level 3, Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

As I was in Dundrum doing some shopping today I needed a quick bite to eat but fancied something light and tasty. The selection at the salad bar is good. It is €6.95 for a hot dish plus two salads so I chose the chicken & mushroom Vol u vent with a Greek salad and potato salad and a small portion of chips €2.95. This was tasty enough and good value for money. They seem to have a good selected of meats, fish and vegetarian dishes to suit all so as far as shopping centre eateries go this was good. There is a large seating area so no need to worry on getting a table. As there are so many other restaurants there I will try another next time but would recommend for a casual quick bite to eat while out shopping.

Kealys of Cloghran
Old Airport Road, (Off Airport Roundabout), North Dublin, Cloghran, Dublin

Myself, my Mother and my Sister ate in Kealys on Saturday evening. The staff are very efficient and welcoming. We all had soup to start. I had the chicken Madras with Rice and chips, Mam had the Bacon and Cabbage and my Sister had the steak sandwich. The food is very competitively priced and great value for money. The portions are quite large so we had no room for desert! We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I have been many times and will return again and again. I would definitely recommend Kealys for great value pub grub in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. There is a large car park so there is always sufficient parking available.

Alex Restaurant
Conrad Hotel, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate in Alex with my husband yesterday evening. It was quite enough for a bank holiday. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We ate from the A La Carte Menu – We both had the soup of the day to start – which was cauliflower – this was very tasty. I had the fillet steak and my husband had the monkfish which were both equally delicious. We both finished off with the chocolate feather which was light and extremely tasty. We washed it down with a bottle of their House Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon which I would recommend. When you dine in the hotel they cover the cost of your parking at the hotel. It was an enjoyable evening and definitely worth a visit.
