Il Posto restaurant
10 St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 2
Reviewed 06th July 2009 ( visited 01st July 2009 )Absolutely loved this restaurant. Went for the first time with my boyfriend and he loved it too. We had the early bird and there was a great choice. €20 for 2 courses or €25 for 3. I had the mini meatballs, followed by chicken and then tiramisu. The food was delicous including their home made bread. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Good value. The only thing I'd say would be for anyone who's expecting a big plate full of food, the portions aren't enormous, but I always hate a big plate full of food so it suited me. Will definitely go back.
Montys of Kathmandu restaurant

Reviewed 06th February 2009 ( visited 06th February 2009 )I have only been here once and I can't wait to go back! It was the nicest spiciest food I've ever had. Everything I ate was wonderful and extremely tastey. Averagely priced.
Unit 11/18 Belgard Square, Tallaght Town Centre, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin
Absolutely appalling owner who was pure rude & ignorant so for that reason I will never return. I received a wedding gift of a voucher for dinner for two but the voucher didn't state which website it was purchased from which obviously had nothing to do with me as it was given to me & the code was on it which is all they need. The owner came over to me in front of everyone & gave out to me for not knowing which website it was purchased from, even though he could see it was a wedding gift & he said I had to give my e-mail address to use the voucher. Very embarrassing for me & I'd been really looking forward to eating there. The food itself was fine, couldn't fault it but it was nothing exceptional. The menu is a bit overpriced for what it is but they do good lunch time deals apparently. On a good note, the toilets were spotless with really nice décor but the carpet in the restaurant is old & filthy so badly needs replacing.
63-64 O'Connell Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin
This is a hidden gem in the centre of the city. It is a perfect place for meeting friends, having a romantic dinner or even going for lunch on your own. I have been three times and have loved it everytime. Their chicken wings are to die for and this time I tried the sticky toffee pudding which I normally don't like and it was fabulous. My partner had steak which was very tasty. Their alcohol is very reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly and professional. The decor is lovely and it's my first time to see a ceiling painted brown but it works very well. The only bizarre thing is that the feature wall above the fireplace has been wallpapered and whoever did it obviously hasn't wallpapered before because the pattern doesn't match up. I can't wait to go back again and they always seem to have great offers and vouchers available.
101 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Terenure, Dublin
First time to this restaurant and I will definitely be back. The decor is beautiful and there is a wine bar area upstairs. The food was fantastic and tasted very healthy and fresh. Food presentation was fabulous too.
Spice of India
Market Street (Kells), Kells, Meath
This was my first visit here and the food was fantastic. Very tasty and also nicely presented. The staff were friendly and service was good. Slight lack of atmosphere in the restaurant so perhaps a few candles or something would help but overall it was fine.
Harveys Bar and Grill Restaurant (Above Harvest Bar & Lounge)
Main Street, Balbriggan, Balbriggan, Dublin
I'm normally not mad about American themed diners but this place has really impressed me. Myself and my partner have become regulars and avail of their loyalty card where you can avail of a free main course from collecting stamps. They have great set menu offers mid week. The chicken wings are to die for. Alcohol is reasonably priced. Staff are extremely friendly and they have a big screen and have been accommodating in letting us put on whatever we would like on TV in the background. Portion sizes to date have been very generous and service has been prompt and friendly. Cheap and cheerful would sum it up.
El Bahia Moroccan Restaurant
37 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I loved this restaurant, especially after recently going on a holiday to Morocco. The food tasted very similar and the decor was very authentic with lots of atmosphere. Great music too. Service was very poor but food was lovely and prices were okay. I had chicken tagine for €15 and a small pitta bread for €1. Bottle of house wine was €18. My partner is a chef and gave his compliments to the chef which he rarely does. Portions were a tiny bit small. Will definitely go again.

24 East Essex Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
I went here for the first time early on a Sunday evening and loved it. The atmosphere was great, good music and lots of people inside but we had no trouble getting a table. The wine was the nicest I've had in a long time and the menu was very varied and a good price. Most of our main courses were under €10! We all got desserts and they were very generous portions and tasted great too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for tourists and locals alike.
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Have been heer many times. I love sitting upstairs but don't like downstairs. Good varied menu. Love the deep fried ice cream! Service can be slow but they are always very busy.
Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
I love this restauarnt. I have been there a few times with friends and we all loved it. A great selection on the menu and reasonably priced. I organised a work night out for 14 people there and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and everyone loved the food. They have good lunch specials too.

Old Airport Road, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin
I have been here a few times and adore their 1 lite carafe of red wine. Their menu is very good and the food is lovely too. The only thing I don't like is the decor. It lacks atmosphere and feels like a canteen but it could be wonderful. Will keep going back as it's a nice place to go. Cheap and Cheerful!
95 Terenure Road North, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin
I have been going here for years since it first opened and I have been to many birthday parties here. The main attraction is that you can bring your own booze which saves a lot of money. Staff are nice and food is very good too. Great value.
La Dolce Vita (Kilmainham)
758/760 South Circular Road, South Dublin, Kilmainham, Dublin
Have been here twice. Both times the food was fabulous with great service. Good value too. We got a starter, 2 main courses, 2 desserts and a bottle of house red for under €60. The only bad thing is the decor. It could definitely benefit from a lick of nice coloured paint. A lot of potential there. Will go back again.
