Real Gourmet Burger is a Real find. The food is fresh and so so tasty. The vegetarian options are also great and it is fairly priced. I have been back a few times and it is consistent on the quality of food and service. Note: It is very busy esp. at the weekends so there may be a wait of 30-60 mins. However, it's easy to pop upstairs to the 'Forty Foot' for a drink while waiting and they will call you when the table is ready.

Tante Zoes
1 Crow Street, Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

We went here last Friday at 9pm. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food tasted very authentic. The calamari starter was just OK but I really enjoyed the the Blackened Catfish with rice & beans. Would definitely re-visit! My friend had the steak and said he enjoyed it! Prices were pretty standard.

Pier Head
The Quays, Kinvara, Galway

Nine of us stopped here yesterday afternoon for some lunch. The service was very efficient and the restaurant setting is lovely - overlooking an inlet. I had a great seafood Chowder - what you want when you're beside the Atlantic!! Some friends had the fish of the day - a substancial portion of fresh whiting and the crab claws were also a hit. I'd recommend here for lunch. It's a lovely small village for a wander afterwards as well. The prices were standard for lunch fare - soups (4 - 5 euros, mains 10 - 12 etc.)

My Thai
The Beacon Hotel, Beacon Court, Dublin 18, Sandyford, Dublin

Dined here yesterday evening. The atmosphere and layout is pleasant - no complaints, the service is very good but the food was very disappointing. I ordered the Lamb massuman curry. The sauce was very flavourful but the meat was really tough and I left most behind. The desert and wine were enjoyable but the main course is what I was looking forward to. My guest ordered off the bar's european menu and was equally uninspired. Pity, because it is a very pleasant environment in which to dine.

Nandos (Dundrum)
Sandyford Road, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

We popped in here on Friday afternoon for something quick. The place was quite empty but a good atmosphere. The service was speedy - just what we needed, however, the food was just middle of the road. I had the 1/4 Chicken med spice and 2 sides; tasty enough but nothing great, my friend had the steak and thought this was quite tough. It's definitely convenient food - does the job but not a dining experience.

Wild Spice Indian Restaurant & Take-Away
Lower Esmonde Street, Gorey, Wexford

At the last minute on Sat night, I browsed through the take-out fliers and decided on Wild Spice. I selected Palak Paneer, Chana Masala, GOC Naan and WOW! I was expecting 'middle of the road' but I'm going back again this week. The food is fresh and the flavours are rich and tasty that you just keep wanting more. Probably some of the freshest Indian food I've had in Ireland. Let's hope it'll be as good this week as this review is after only one experience!!

Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I've been here many evenings for the early bird and it is a great place to meet up with friends after work. I think of the food as 'reliable and tasty'. The menu is quite extensive so you will definitely find something to suit your tastes. It's a great place to get your sushi 'fix' but they also have very good value three course daily menus. The noise level sometimes can be a bit challenging but it has a greaty relaxed atmosphere.

Pichet
14/15 Trinity Street, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

Highly recommended. This was my second visit to Pichet for the mid week early bird. First a table of four and second a drop in with a friend visiting from San Fran. On both ocassions the food has been faultless. The mini menu has a great variety to choose from and all courses were fresh and oh, so tasty! Worth a special mention is the main course of Cod. You would be challenged to find a better early evening dining experience.

Hartley's Restaurant
1 Harbour Road, South Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Wednesday last was my second visit to Hartleys and it is a gem. The food is 5 star and cost is appropriate. The menu options are quite varied, the atmosphere and decor excellent and then retiring to the bar was great to round the evening off. I highly recommend for a very enjoyable night out.

The Winding Stair Restaurant
40 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1 , City Centre North, Dublin

We had lunch here last Saturday. We were lucky to get a table as reservations are typically required and others behind us were turned away. The service was great. The food is traditional flavours and very tasty - real wholesome, flavourful food. I had the Kerry Crabpot for starters - yum, then the Organic Chicken Legs with Mash and Lentils. It was great. the desserts were of the same quality - the sticky pear and ginger pudding finished me off!! The lunch was wonderful and we really enjoyed the atmosphere etc. My only crib is that the menu prices are a wee bit expensive for a midday meal and don't vary much from the evening prices. I would go back again for an evening meal but its too expensive for a lunch.

Very tasty Thai food. We had wonderful fresh seafood dishes with great Thai flavours. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The service was also excellent.
