We are very fussy about restaurants but this tick all the boxes. Prices are a bit on the high side though. One night we found the quality of the food to be less than its usual excellence but having been there since we have found to be a brief lapse. Overall excellent.

McHugh’s Wine & Dine Restaurant
59 St. Assam's Park, Dublin 5, Raheny, Dublin

I have been to this restaurant many times and 90% of the time the food is great. On One or two occasions the food was awful and we complained and it fell on deaf ears. We were told that ‘ the chef thought the food was fine’ Please.. if there is a problem please listen . People don’t complain unless they have to (especially Irish people). We didnt go back for over six months because of this. Also they did a fab creme brule which I would look forward to but then they changed it and added some passion fruit which makes it awful!! If its not broken don’t fix it please I want the old creme brule back. Also on the menu they have that they surcharge 10% on 6 or more people. We are very good tippers and tip when the service is good. However we don’t like being told what to do. We eat with friends a few times a year here but will not be booking if they put on their own service charge. Its cheeky. Otherwise it’s a great restaurant.

Fahrenheit Grill
Clontarf Castle Hotel, Castle Avenue, North Dublin, Clontarf, Dublin

Have gone here a fair bit over the past year or so as the food is usually very nice and dont mind paying that bit extra for quality. Never got their sauspan of vegetables. Please normal vegetables !!!!! not this fancy stuff which nobody likes. The last time the food was poor service poor. The chicken was over salty and when we complained we were ignored. A big deal was made in finding a spre two seater table in a completely empty large restatuant at 6PM. (We were 'walk ins') bit annoying. Hopefully will be better the next time. But I think we will give it a miss for a while.

The Nuthouse
Howth Road, North Dublin, Clontarf, Dublin

This is a great night time restaurant. Food is great. Everything seems to be cooked fresh. The service is good and personal. We look forward to go there. They do an early bird which is good value. They only open Wed to Sat which is a shame.

Picasso Restaurant

Have been here a good few times. Quality is very changable. Overall overpriced for average food. I tend to avoid this Restaurant because of this.

SALE e PEPE
The Diamond, Main Street, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

We were a regular to this restaurant as we found the food to be very good. We would look forward to going every Wednesday night but were quite shocked at the rudeness of one of the staff when we were told that they were booked out and they could not fit us in. This is understandable but it was the tone and the unhelpfulness that shocked and embarrassed us. There was no suggestion of recommending another restaurant in the village, which we have found other politer restaurant staff doing we were just turned away. As a regular we felt hard done by and will not be returning. Pity!

Giovanni’s Pizzeria Restaurant
3-4 Townyard Lane, Malahide, Dublin

Probably the worst restaurant I have eaten in. Asked for a coke for drink. Got Diet. When I pointed out that I ordered a normal coke we were told that they were out even though five minutes later another customer could be seen to be served one. Staff totally unhelpful. We barely ate anything. Normally with leftovers we would bring home to our dogs but the food they produced I wouldn’t feed to my dogs! Poor Poor Poor!!
