Myself and my GF visited Buenos Aires Grill Friday night I have to say it was exceptional. This restaurant is a must for any steak lovers. Although packed it was very comfortable and we got pretty good service. We both started with the Onion and Garlic soup which was fantastic. Then we both went for the fillet steaks. The steaks were cooked to perfection and I can honestly say it is one of if not the best steak I have had. The staff were friendly without been in your face. Great experience and the best steaks around. We will be back soon.

Went to dinner the other night and safe to say we won't be back. It has great atmosphere and it was very busy. My girlfriend and I had read the great reviews on the chicken wings and although it was a large portion they where nothing special at all. We both thought the where fairly average really. Had heard great things but definitely not the best around. I had the Fennel soup which was nice but not as nice as my own and then the buttermilk crisp chicken ( €20.00 ) which was ok but a bit of a rip off for battered chicken and a few veg. The waiters were very pleasant and service was good. The hair my girlfriend found in her main course veg was a little off putting but we did not complain and just said we would not go back after the disappointing visit. I thought to myslef on the way out that id had better meals in some other fast food type places. This tarnished our opinion of the restaurant and we will not return. Very over rated.

The Yellow House
1 Willbrook Road, Rathfarnham, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Myself and the kids went for the carvery here on sunday. It was local and handy so said we would try it. We all had the roast beef with all the trimings and all our meals were excellent. Kids cleared the plates and polished of every bit of the carrots and cabbage along with the beef, The Yellow house will our weekly choice if we can continue to get good carvery for a good price.

Arklow Bay Hotel
Ferrybank Arklow, Arklow, Wicklow

Well not to much to say on this one. I had the soup which was not nice and very thick. May have been sitting in the soup kettle for the best part of the day. We gave this back and the girl was very nice about it. My main course was very nice as was my partners. The Scones only come in portions of two and look like they are bought in. Most decent hotels make there own scones or at very least uses the likes of Odlums mix. Anything but starchy supermarket ones. Anyway really liked my Cajun Chicken Baggutte and my partners meal was also very nice. Good value aswell. We had a few drinks here one night and overal is grand spot with nice staff.

Reeds @ Ferrycarrig Hotel
Ferrycarrig Bridge, Wexford, Wexford Town, Wexford

Dropped in with the Kids for afternoon meal at this really nice Hotel. The food was really really good. The kids all loved it and cleared there plates. I also loved it and went back a few days later for more of the same. Very nice choice on the menu and very good value as well. Options include main joint of the day, burgers, steak sandwiches etc. Staff and service were ok and would recommend. Very good food.

Christie's
38 Main Street, Arklow, Arklow, Wicklow

I have eaten here a few times now and twice last week. Quality has always been fantastic and a decent menu. Its the best pub grub ive had in Arklow. On our most recent visit we ordered starters, main courses and dessert. Everything tasted great but on both days the one thing that ruined the meal a little was the big lumps in the mash potato. While it tasted great it wasnt right. This happend both days on my two mains and my partners two mains. Everthing else was fantastic and one of the best meals ive had in a long while. We will still be back on a regualr basis and hopefully the mash will be as great as everything else. Very good food, Very nice place to sit and relaxe. We will be back.

BRASS Bar & Grill
Talbot Hotel Stillorgan, Stillorgan Road, South Dublin, Stillorgan, Dublin

We went here recently and it was just ok. The restaurant is nice and looks well. The breads are very nice and the soup was nice but not what we ordered. The staff are a bit lifeless and dul. Main course was just ok and overal for 28 per head it wasnt to bad value to be fair. Not the worst and a lot better than some places twice the price but we wouldnt really go back.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Newbridge)
Unit 57 – 59, The Avenue, Whitewater Shopping Centre, Newbridge, Kildare

Have to say the this was really nice food, My burger was great and the onion rings and fries with the garlic dip were really nice too. Best chips ive had in a long time. Only thing I thought was bad value was that they only give you half a dip with your food. Should give a full side of garlic dip for the price that you pay the burgers. Pleasant staff too. We'll be back.

Bailey Bar @ Trim Castle Hotel
Castle St, Trim, Meath

This was our first visit to Trim Castle hotel and we'll certainly be back. The hotel and room was fantastic and the food and service was excellent. I had tomato soup to start one night and then the Steak which was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The next night I had the Steak pie which was really nice. The waiter/ess are very good and one even knew id have a Coffee after my meal at 9pm because thats what I had for breakfast that morning. Brilliant attention to detail even though the hotel was packed. Great atmosphere, great Food, great value and great service. And the room was fantastic to. I would recommend it to anyone.

Bijou Bistro & Wine
46/47 Highfield Road, Dublin 6, Rathgar, Dublin

I have been here a number of times with a difference each time. The downstairs bistro is nice for afternoon or early eve but to be honest for the price of the food I didnt think it was as good as i once was. The menu seems to have less on it these days and the steak I had this time was VERY small considering how much I paid for it. It was tasty though and the soup was lovely.

Little Caesars of Rathfarnham
Rathfarnham Orchard, Butterfield Ave, South Dublin, Rathfarnham, Dublin

A few of us had a night out here the other night. Good food and not to bad on price although the steaks where a little small for the price. The only negative was that it is really really dark and the seats where dirty. Ive been here again for the early bird. Have to say it was really good and nice in the day time. Excellent value for money to. €10 got mr a starter and main.

Merry Ploughboy Pub
Edmondstown Road, Rockbrook, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Myself, my daughter and brother had our lunch here today. Excellent food and value. I've been so tired of paying for below average pub food and very few places can do it right. The Ploughboy has absolutely nailed it and is Restaurant standard without being uncomfortable and formal. In fact it's better then most restaurant's I've been to. It has a very nice, simple, honest to god, tasty, well prepared food. Ill be here most weekends from now on. Keep it up.
