Reviewed 16th September 2014 ( visited 16th September 2014 )Ravi's Kitchen do a fairly decent lunch menu, the Lamb Rogan josh was nice, but portions are a bit light on meat. The service is good and it usually quiet enough during the week but busier on a Friday

3rd trip to Seapoint, first time since they redecorated. I have to say I was disappointed with the food quality. I had the chowder which was very poor. It just had potato and nondescript white fish in it. Not smoky enough, quantity and quality of fish were poor. I was never asked how it was, so the staff were not aware I was disappointed. My wife had a fish burger which was also disappointing. the burger and "seapoint fries" for main course were better. Our dining partner enjoyed her salmon dish, the server was nice and very friendly, but they did not seem interested in asking how the food was.
Matt The Thresher Seafood Bar and Grill
31/31 Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Went for Sunday Lunch. Was a little bit quiet at first but as the afternoon went on more people arrived. Menu choice was great, almost too good as it took us ages to make up our mind. I had fish n chips, fish was extremely fresh, really lovely and white. They did a 1/2 portion of fish n chips for kids which was great. It was my 4th time in Matt the Thresher's and I am still impressed. Will definitely be back.
Baan Thai (Ballsbridge)
16 Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin
Popular sport, really good thai food, handy location for a work lunch. A little bit of confusion as to whether they are with menupages or not, they told me they were not, but they seem to be. Restaurant is a little bit dark, but good value and great food.

Very enjoyable 7 course tasting lunch, service great, paired wines fantastic, only problem was I had to go back to work after.

Had lunch here with work colleagues, all was good except I\'d say we were there 1 hour before our mains arrived, far too long, we were in lunch break. No time for the included coffee at the end, no apology, enjoyed the food.

Very enjoyable meal here. Booked a table for 2 for 9:30 on a Saturday night. Shown to table immediately. Very good service, never left waiting for anything for too long. I had the duck leg confit to start, the duck itself was great, but the accompanying salad was just downright weird. Cubed fried potatoes, lettuce leaves and some sweet relish. I thought something more savoury would have been more appropriate. Main courses were Scallops and the Pork with Clonakilty Black pudding, both absolutely delicious. I thought the Pork dish worked amazingly well. 3 courses plus bottle of Gigondas and 2 glasses of win came to €120. Great Athmosphere. Toilets were a bit messy, but not dirty. The posted cleaning rota in the Gents didn't seem to be adhered to though...
