Met up here with 2 of my friends. We had a lovely evening ordering about 10 dishes between the three of us. All dishes were cooked perfectly and enjoyed by us all. We had the Chilean red wine which accompanied the food well. The lemon sorbet with vodka and prosecco is fantastic and the girls loved the meatballs and bruschetta. We also had the potatoes, nachos, goats cheese tart and really enjoyed our evening nibbling away and having a good laugh over a few glasses of wine. The staff here are lovely and very attentive and I am looking forward to returning very soon.

Milano (Temple Bar)
19 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I dined here with my boys on a shopping trip in Dublin. We walked in from the street as we were looking for nice pizzas. We ordered the childs meal for the youngest which was 8.50 for garlic bread starter, a pizza and a juice. A small brownie for dessert. I felt this was great value and was well received by my son. No complaints. Myself and other teen son had garlic bread starter to share, and he had a pizza. I ordered the low cal version pizza with the salad centre. I was thrilled this was available on the menu but was disappointed at the small amount of salad product in the centre especially at a charge of 12.95. Very few cals in tomatoes, peppers, etc and I felt more could be thrown in. All the food was perfectly cooked and served at perfect temperature. The restaurant was full and busy but at all times our waitress Nina was attentive, professional and very pleasant and fun to deal with. She ensured our visit was welcoming and warm and even took a minute to chat with my boys. A lovely efficient girl with a great smile. We had a lovely first visit to this restaurant and the boys are already planning a return over Easter hols.

Myself and a friend arrived here to kick off a well awaited girls night out. It was a beautiful summer evening and when we walked into the restaurant we felt like we had arrived into a restaurant in a foreign country. We had never eaten in a tapas bar before so we asked the waitress for guidance. She recommended 3-4 courses each and as we have a totally different taste in food, we opted for a selection of 8 different dishes, four each. We were excited when our first two dishes arrived but my friend was disappointed to find both dishes were from my selection. The third and fourth dishes arrived within minutes and only one dish was for my friend. I now had 3 dishes in front of me. This was very disappointing as my food was going cold before I could even enjoy tasting it.Within 30 minutes of my visit I had been served 3 of my 4 dishes. We spoke to the waitress and she brushed us off saying that the food arrives randomly and as the chef has it is cooked. We felt very let down and I would now recommend ordering a dish each every 20 minutes to half hour throughout your evening. In saying that all the food was delicious and no fault to be found. We had 3 different waiters/waitresses throughout our evening and this was a bit annoying. I didn't find the staff very welcoming and they didn't smile much. The place was not too busy on this night so it wasn't as if they were overworked.

Zest Cafe
Unit 6/7, Clane Shopping Centre, Clane, Kildare

Myself and my husband had breakfast here a couple of weeks back. My husband ordered the full Irish breakfast with brown soda bread. Its the first time I have seen him leave food on his plate because he was so full. The waitress asked him if the soda bread was ok because she noticed he didn't finish it all. He said the bread was delicious but the portion of breakfast was so generous and well cooked he couldn't possibly manage another bite. I ordered the free range poached eggs and bacon on a bagel with homemade relish. Again quite substantial with two perfectly poached eggs, two bacon, lovely bagel and relish to die for. If I could only bottle it and bring it home. We also had a glass of milk, a tea and a decaf latte with our breakfast and our bill came in around 20 euro. Well worth every cent. A nice relaxed bistro and the staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming. we will definitely return and look forward to sampling the lunch and dinner menus.

Alvito's Restaurant
Captains View, Captains Hill, Leixlip, Kildare

Myself and husband ate here a few weeks back. We called in for a bite to eat on the way to a function. We were delighted to arrive at 7pm and find we were on time for the early bird menu. The set menu had a good choice of starters, mains and desserts. All the food we ordered was cooked beautifully, fresh and tasty. We had a three course dinner for 19.95 each. Our bill which included a bottle of house wine came to 56.95 euro. The restaurant is relaxed, with a good mix of people. Their pizza looks delicious and we intend to return to sample them. The staff were attentive but not imposing, friendly and efficient.

Ate here with my husband on thursday night. We went in at about 8.30 pm and were delighted to hear they serve food up until 10pm. We ate in the lounge but there is a chinesse restaurant on the premises also. My husband had the beef in black bean sauce which he said was very tasty and a very generous portion. I had the roast lamb which was the roast of the day. I was impressed to find the vegetables were cooked fresh, the mash potato was creamy and the lamb was tender. The staff were very friendly and attentive and it was a pleasure to eat here. 2 mains ,1 guiness and one red wine for just over 30 euro. Good value and great sized portions. We will eat here again when in the area.

Tenors Grill Room (Naas)
Fairgreen Street, Naas, Kildare

Ate here with my husband on thurs night. The place was very busy but we soon realised it was ladies night.Great buzz in the place. We both had the deep fried brie which was cooked perfectly and a fine portion. I had the vegetarian vol au vents which were lovely but the side salad was drowned in dressing which was a pity..less is more. Husband had the fillet steak and as always was not dissappointed. It was cooked to his medium rare request perfectly and a beautiful piece of meat. We had the house red wine which was nice easy drinking and we rounded off our meal with a cocktail each. Husband had a tequila slammer which was nice ands well made but I had a strawberry daquri which was very dissappointing. There was not a strawberry in sight and it was made with a bottled mix. There wasnt a sign of ice either and I would skip this next time. Our waitress was a lovely young girl and very attentive to us. She checked in on us from time to time but never overpowering. Our 2 starters, 2 mains bottle of house wine ,1 bottle beer and 2 cocktails came to just under 80 euro.We spent 3 hours there and had a lovely evening out enjoying the atmosphere. We will definately return soon.
