This resturant is one of the best Indians in the country. The food is unbelievabley good and so is the service! My partner and I come to eat here very often and also get take aways which are always fantastic. I can recommend any of the currys but the chilli masala is divine as is the jalfrazi and the tandoori mixed grill is so tasty and the meat so tender, its a must have. The portions are very good too, you will never leave this resturant unsatisfied. A true gem!

Greenbarn Cafe Bistro
Inchiquin, Killeagh, Youghal, Cork

This is a lovely place for lunch dinner or even just tea & cake. The decor is really nice and the staff are very friendly and prompt. Good facilities for children, plenty of high chairs and the play area outisde is very sweet - my son loves the chickens running around!! We went for family lunch on Easter Sunday and even though the place was packed the service was still excellent. The food is consistantly good however my one issue on the day was that there was garlic in the mash potato which wasnt mentioned on the menu. Not a major issue but one of our party hates garlic so would have odered something else if they had known. The special Easter cake on the menu that day made up for it though! Overall I would really recommend Greenbarn to anyone and the shop and gaden centre is good too.

Electric
41 South Mall, Cork City, Cork

Went for lunch with my friend and baby son. We ate in the bar, which had a lovely selection of sandwiches, soups and a special goats cheese tart (which my friend had and thought it was delicions.) The sandwiches were all under €6 which I thought was good value as they were very filling. I had roast chicken, rocket, caramlised onion and a gravy flavoured mayo which was really good! The staff were lovely and were very helpful with my requests for highchair/spoon/food warming for my baby. We had coffee and chocolate & cherry brownies to finish and both were lovely. The bar itself is very nice, i especially liked the hat light fittings! I would like to return soon to try the eveing menu in the restaurant.

Les Gourmandises
17 Cook Street, Cork City, Cork

I am just back from dining at this wonderful resturant. The staff were great, friendly and prompt but not a bit intrusive. The food was fantastic! I had the pork terrine which looked and tasted fab, then the duck confit with cherry sauce and fondat potato which was beautiful. To finish I had the chocloate & orange mouse, with granita and white chocolate cookie - it was devine!! My companions had the tasting plate to start which looked and tasted fantastic too by all accounts! All the fish dishes were cooked to perfection. We choose the prix fix menu and I thought it was superb value. I cant wait to visit this resturant again - Im just wondering how soon I can make it back! The only down side that I can mention is that it was quite hot! Maybe some air con wouldnt go a miss!

Boqueria
6 Bridge Street, Cork City, Cork

I have to say this is a great little find! Perfect for a relaxed evening drinking delicious wine and really very good food. I love the tapas idea anyway, getting to try lots of different dishes. The portions are good, everything tasted fresh and flavoursome and I found the price was reasonable for what you get. Lovely service too.

Pak Fook Gardens
61 North Main Street Youghal, Youghal, Cork

This is a nice chinese resturant with lots of choice on the meun and most of it very tasty. The duck pancakes are lovely in the resturant but not always the same quality to take away which is a shame, The BBQ ribs a really very good and so are most of the main course dishes I have tried. I have visited here often enough over the last few years and it is always consistant.

Market Lane
5/6 Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork City, Cork

Market Lane is a lovely place, very nice relaxed atmosphere and I like the decor. The tables are a little cramped at times thought because it is a popular place. The do a great value lunch deal of soup of the day, there is a choice of 2, and have a sandwich, coffee and a min chocolate pot which is totally delicious. It was a chicken curry soup the last day I was there and it was unusual but great! Great value early bird menu too, I can recomment the chargrilled chicken. Lovely staff, good value, and tasty food.

Frankies Italian Bar and Grill
42 Temple Bar Square, Temple Bar, Dublin

I have to say I was most disapointed with this place. I thought with the Marco Pierre White connection and the fact that it had a sign outsied saying it was recommended by Paulo Toulio that is was going to be great. Myself and three friends went for the early bird menu. The friends had calamari which was like rubber and i had caprese salad which was only ok. Two of the three had meatballs & tomato sauce which was very substandard. The meatballs seemed over worked and the sauce was of no great taste. I had a steak sandwich which was almost good - the 'onion rings' were a joke, a soggy mess that I wouldnt even serve at home. However the steak was cooked rare as requested and had a nice flavour. However, the staff were friendly and attentive. The place itself lacks atmosphere.
