Food is consistently excellent. Love the refurbishment, the candles, the light fittings which all contribute to a lovely atmosphere. The new staff are not as friendly as the old staff so can understand other reviews stating staff are unfriendly. Seems like the resteraunt is having some difficulty coping with how busy they are now since the refurbishment. On our last visit there were 4 of us and it was difficult to hear each other talk over the loud rock music. Although the music was good I am not sure if it is the most suitable for an eating establishment which needs background music which fades into the background instead of taking over. Personally we would have preferred if the music was a little quieter and a little softer. Would hate if the entertainment stopped but don't feel Siam have not got it right yet.

Bon Appetit
9 James Terrace, Malahide, Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Went to the Tapas bar upstairs with 5 others. Waited ages for our wine as the bar was short on glasses. Waitress then tried to take my wine glass when it was empty even though there was more wine in the bottle, this happened as there was such a shortage of glasses. Food tasted really good but portions were too small for the price. Don't understand how this place is busy ....we will not be back.

Unicorn
12b Merrion Court, Merrion Row, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Fab evening last Saturday with 5 others. Table was a little small for six people but other than that everything was perfect. Scallops, prawns and antipasto sharing plates for starters were delicious. My hake for main course was so good. We haven't eaten here for a while but will definitely be back again soon. Would highly recommend this restaurant, it is as good as ever even with change of management.

ely gastro bar
Grand Canal Square, (Next to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre), Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Great place to meet and eat before a show at the Grand Canal Theatre. Can have 3 course meal or just a main course from the bar food menu. It is also possible to 2 courses pre-theatre and come back for desert. Staff will reserve the table so it is there for you after the show and you can have desert. Food and staff and service are really good - would highly recommend this venue. But book early as tables for the restaurant book up fast when popular shows are on in the Grand Canal theatre

This is one of my favourite resteraunts. The food, service and atmosphere are excellent. Love the monkfish starter and the butter chicken main dish. The vegetable sides are also to die for. Thanks Kajal for great nights at your establishment.

La Cuvee @ Eno Wine Bar
1 Burton Hall, Mayor Square, IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin

I visited this restauraunt with my husband using a citydeal voucher. We had a great night. The wine tasting was great fun. We were given a card that we could insert into a machine to select the wines we wished to taste. The card had a credit amount on it and the vines vary in cost to try. As you try more wines the balance on the card reduces. After the wine tasting we went upstairs for dinner. The food tasted really good, my husband had steak and I had the fish of the day which was a generous potion of sea bass. I rarely have desert but I was tempted by the brownie which was delicious. We both got very comfortable in this resteraunt and didn't want to leave. really enjoyed the night and would definitely go back. (Actually have gone back again and was happy second time too! - give it a try)

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went for the pre-theatre dinner menu here on a week night before going to a show. The food was really good, service was good the music played by a live musician and singer really added to the atmosphere in the resteraunt. Would go back again and it was great value for the pre-dinner menu. Myself and my two colleagues would recommend it.

Pearl Brasserie
20 Merrion Street Upper, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We visited Pearl with another couple. It was our first time here and we had a really nice night. The food was really tasty and the service was excellent. We had a snug/booth which is like a little cave and not enough room to stand up in. It was an experience, very private and we felt as if we were in the resteraunt on our own. Would definitely recommend Pearl anmd the snug for a very very private evening. Looking forward to going back and trying a table inthe main part of the dining room.

The Boxty House
20-21 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We had some relatives visit from the US and a large group of us visited this eatery. The atmosphere was great, it was lively and very busy. I have to say my food was really tasty and for the price this is a very reasonable resteraunt with great choice and great food. It is a great place to meet up with people and have a fun night. I would definitely recommend a visit here.

Hush Brasserie
12A New Street Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

My husband and I ate here recently on a Saturday night. The restaurant was cold and we had to ask if they could put the heat on. We each had a starter and main course and found the food tasty but starter portions very small. Very soon after i received my main course I asked the waitress if I could have some more of the sauce which accompanied the salmon. The waitress checked and told me it wasn't possible as the chef had left. I found this very disappointing as we had literally just received our dishes. The ladies toilet needs to be attended to. It was our first time here and I wouldn't go back.

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Friends and relatives were raving about this place so we wanted to try it. Went there on a busy Saturday night before going to a birthday party and initially didn't understand why everyone spoke so highly about the place - that was before the food arrived. I have to admit the food was superb. We really enjoyed the experience and a very kind staff member chased after us on leaving the restaurant with a birthday present I had left behind at our table. How kind - thank you so much!!!

The Upper Deck duplicate
Harbour Road, Above the Waterside Pub, Howth, Dublin

This is a fun, lively resteraunt in which you will have a good time. The decor is fun and the staff are great. There is usually a great atmosphere in the restaurant. The food is only OK and you could probably cook tastier yourself. The accompanients provided with the fahitas are very poor and you have to order guacamole as an extra it you want it. Don't assume it comes with your dish.

Oscar Taylor Restaurant
Island View Hotel, Coast Road, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

There are two places to eat here. Downstairs in the carvery or upstairs in the resteraunt where you are served at the table. Pesonally I prefer the carvery and frequent it a lot. The rating here is for the carvery. There is a lot of choice and tit is great value for children and OAPs. I like to bring the children here for lunch instead of macDonalds - give them good food! My children love the roast beef and the shepherds pie. The upstais resteraunt has a great variety too and if you have a large group to cater for, for a Chrisening or a communion everyone will be able to find somthing they like.

Jaipur Restaurant (Malahide)
5 St James's Terrace, Dublin 15, Malahide, Dublin

Ate here recently and was very impressed with the food and the service again. The waiter recommended a dish, which was truly wonderful. If you like Indian food you will definitely enjoy the food here. It is a great place for an intimate dinner with a loved one. I like the tablecloths and the candles. It is very comfortable and you don't want to leave. The only negative is that this is a relatively new restaurant but it could probably do with a fresh coat of paint.

Giovanni’s Pizzeria Restaurant
3-4 Townyard Lane, Malahide, Dublin

If you want pizza and wine this restaurant is probably OK. They have a chicken fungi dish on the menu which is never the same twice - could be really good or very poor. The quality of the dishes is not consistent. The atmosphere is good and lively but the seats are very uncomfortable. I would visit this restaurant, but irregularly.

Bay Restaurant
369 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

I had the most fabulous pasta dish here - spinach and ricotta cheese filled tortellini with a Gorgonzola cream sauce and Parmesan shavings - wow it was fab! I had a breakfast here another day - salmon and eggs and it was disappointing and overpriced. Need to be careful what you pick from the menu. The location is nice opposite the sea and if the weather was good it would be nice to sit outside. I would probably classify this a more a cafe than a restaurant. Nice for a visit during the day.

Gibneys

A great asset to Malahide. This is a great place for pub food or for drinks at night. The beer garden is always buzzing and the atmosphere is always great - lots of beautiful, well dressed people about.

Used to visit this restaurant almost weekly but now prefer to visit other restaurants in Malahide. The food is good and reasonably priced.

Siam Thai (Malahide)
1 The Green, North Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

We regularly eat at the Siam Thai. This restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Malahide. The food is consistently excellent. The service is always very good and the band plays some really nice music and songs, which adds to the already nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
