Very busy restaurant at 6.30 on a Saturday evening but our service and waiter were excellent. Had squid for starter which was mediocre. I think the starters are hugely overpriced! My mains of Phuket was very good & the wine, which was a Merlot at Eu28.00 also very nice but again HUGELY overpriced. I wonder does anyone from Saba ever read these reviews and if so, please take note of what your customers are saying.

We have been here many times and always found the food very good. However, on this occasion my food was very very salty. I had the Phad Prick Sod beef & found it to be a bit gloopy also. Wine was extremely expensive, Eu33 for a mediocre bottle of red! Please do not ruin this lovely restaurant by masking flavours with extreme saltiness and also lower your wine prices.

Vermilion
94-96 Terenure Road, Dublin 6 , Terenure, Dublin

Love this restaurant but 2 things annoyed me this evening. One was they automatically put Eu1 on my bill for the Nepal earthquake appeal (I had already donated) via my bank and secondly, the glass of white wine I ordered (eu6) was so small I barely got 3 sips out of it. Come on Vermilion & don't be mean with the glass of wine!

Really love this restaurant and have been here many times. The food is superb. One thing tho that really annoys the life out of me is having to pay for rice which should accompany food by rights. If you serve a curry etc at home you surely serve a portion of rice! I don't mind paying for naan etc. but rice!

Dined here with a party of 7 on a Sunday night. Glad we booked as the place was wedged. Probably the reason why service was slow as most local restaurants would not be so busy on a Sunday evening. Food, as usual was excellent.

Had pre-booked a table for 7 and glad I did so as it's quite a small intimate restaurant and people who arrived without a booking had to be turned away, even on a Sunday night! Food as ever was fabulous. Service was slightly slow but think it was due to such a big crowd, but definitely worth the wait. Have dined here 3 times in the last 6 months & will be back.

Had a menu pages voucher. On arrival staff were very welcoming and immediately brought water & dips. Beautifully laundered tablecloth and napkins. We had a starter & my husband had chicken jalfresi & I had lamb Ghost. Large portions with plenty of meat. Had to get a doggy bag going home we had so much food left over. Will most definigtly return to this restaurant.

Absolutely adore this restaurant. Pity they never do deals on the voucher sites but then again, its nearly always full so why should they?

Zen
89 Upper Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin

Had heard good reports of Zen but we were very disappointed when we dined there last Thursday evening. Had meat sung to start. Had never had this before & found it bland and the rice 'noodles' were not what I thought they would be. Basically rice cakes minced. Very dry. I ordered spicy beef fillet but it was far from spicy & the beef was a little 'chewy'. My companion ordered chicken Kung Pao but the chicken was diced in small identical cubes & was a bit plastic. Certainly was not fresh chicken. Bland sauce also. Wont be back
