Arklow Bay Hotel
Ferrybank Arklow, Arklow, Wicklow

I have ate here a few times. Generally it\'s good food but it can be a bit hit and miss. Both my wife and did get poisoned here once and complained the following day.We were told that a number of staff were suffering with a bug.!!!\n

Hole In The Wall Phoenix Park
Blackhorse Avenue, Navan Road, Dublin

Lovely food and nice atmosphere. The only gripe is that the main courses are very small so you will need to eat a starter. The food is very nice though.

Spice of India - South William Street
6 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The family and I have eaten here many times.Simply the best indian food around in my opinion. Very reasonable if you eat off the early bird menu. The meat in so tender and the food is full of great flavours. I\'ve never been disappointed here. Th

Pablo Picante - Clarendon Market
4 Clarendon Market, Between Clarendon Row & South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

A great little place for a bite to eat.The burritos are fantastic and the jars of sauces that you add yourself are great. I would really recommend have a literary bite in this place.

Spice Of India (Clonsilla)
5 Weavers Row, West Co. Dublin, Clonsilla, Dublin

I\'m sorry to say that I\'ve had it with this place. I just wasted €30 on a tasteless watery meal.I ordered a chicken Bhuna and a chicken balti. The sauces were the same on both dishes.We\'ll there was a few extra chillies in the balti.A supermarket jar of sauce would have more flavour. The Rice was over cooked. I have been let down on more than one occasion from this place but due to the fact there is no competition in the area I decided to give it one more try.Their sister restaurant in South William Street is miles better.I\'ve eaten there loads of times and the two are poles apart. Give this place a wide birth!

Wrights Anglers Rest
Strawberry Beds, West Dublin, Dublin 20, Chapelizod, Dublin

Had dinner here with the family. Sorry to say it was a let down. I had a Striploin steak. I asked for it well done but it was rare. Pepper sauce was just like gravy. My wife had the chicken supreme and said it was bland. Her portion was tiny, it wasn\'t even served with vegetables. When we told the waiter he told us that a lot of customers had complained over the last few weeks! They obviously haven\'t listened to what the customer are saying. Safe to say we won\'t be back.

The Lo-Cal Kitchen
Unit 4 Phoenix Park Racecourse, West Dublin, Castleknock, Dublin

I decided to eat a late lunch here this Saturday. We arrived at around 4:00 but had to wait for a table for 15 mins, not that that is a problem. The problem was we had to wait 30 mins after we ordered for our food. It was pushing 4:50 at this stage and we just want a quick bite. The food here is nice though but it's a bit pricy but it very good quality so you get what you pay for. Even though it can be quite bland - but that's healthy eating for you.I had a chicken fillet burger but was still hungry afterwards and it cost my 10:95 euro for a burger and leaves. The also got my wife's dish wrong but she said nothing and just ate it.

The food here is very good and inventive. The portions are on the small side so you wont leave stuffed. It's definitely worth a visit though.

The Central
4 Trimgate Street, Navan, Meath

Ate here today with some friends and although the staff are very good, the food is not very good. The thai curry was poor and the blue cheese that came on the steak sandwich just ruined it.Those that had the fish and chips thought that it was very nice. Its also very pricey for what you get.I wont be eating here again because its just not good value for money or very tasty.

Milano (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown Centre, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I tried this place for a bit of a change. The pizzas are very good. The pasta dishes are not very good at all. The service was awful. My wife and child were finished their main courses and I was still waiting a further 10 mins for my dish. So they had to wait for me and twiddle their thumbs. It wasn't even half full so there is no excuse. They then had the cheek to suggest a tip. If you visit here stick with the pizza menu.

Captain America's Blanchardstown
Unit 40 Blanchardstown, Retail Park 2 Extension Dublin, West Dublin, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I have visited here several times with the kids. They like the baked potato kids meals. The food is not very good here,in my opinion. It is very generic and is never exciting. The fajitas are soggy and to be honest the EL Paso Fajita mix from your local store is far tastier. The wings and nachos starters are tasty though. The décor is nice and the staff are friendly, well most of them anyway. Unfortunately I'm sure I'll eat here again when shopping as the kids like the childrens menu.

Tanjore Palace - Dublin
Unit 5, Block D, Tyrrelstown Plaza, Dublin 15, Tyrrelstown, Dublin

I just had the Rogan Josh and the sauce was the exact same as the Jhal Frezi I had last week. I think that they use the same sauce for a lot of their dishes. I have eaten in the restaurant before and it was tasty but the take away is consistently one of the biggest disappointments I have tried. I have tried thr food here at least five times and it is never as good as alternative indian take aways. The sauce is bland and there is always a pool of water at the bottom of your plate.I will be giving this place a wide birth from now on.The restaurant is always empty (well there may be one of two tables occupied at the weekend)which says a lot.

The Grasshopper Inn
Main Street, Clonee, Dublin

I ate here for the second time this month.I had the carvery the first time but it was nothing special,in fact it was quite bland. This time we went for the al carte menu. The food is good but not amazing. The steak on the stone is nice enough but I've had nicer. The chicken fajitas are tasty and there's plenty of eating in them althoughthey are very oily. The best part of the meal was the starters, the spicy chicken wings are really good. I would eat here again but I wouldn't be over excited about the prospect of it.

Eddie Rockets (Wexford Street)
Wexford Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I ate here with my wife last night before heading into Whelans. We were left waiting to be served for 10 mins so I went up to the counter to give my order. We both ordered Classic burger meals.I couldn't say that the burgers were bad because they were totally tasteless.I won't eat here again.

The Donkey Shed Restaurant
Newbarn Farm, Old Ashbourne Road, Ashbourne, Meath

I discovered this well hidden gem by accident about a month ago and this is our fourth time to eat here. The place is nicely decorated and on a nice summers day you can dine al fresco. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We have tried numerous dishes at this stage and it is all lovely, really nice wholesome food. The duck salad is my favourite, its very lean and very tasty, none of the usually jelly like fat you would normally get with a duck dish. They also have a comprehensive kids menu. The price is reasonable but they could offer a little more value for money. This is quickly becoming a regular haunt of ours.

Tanjore Palace - Dublin
Unit 5, Block D, Tyrrelstown Plaza, Dublin 15, Tyrrelstown, Dublin

I ate here for the first time( I had tried the take away twice and thought it was really bad) with my wife and the food was fantastic. We availed of our Menupages voucher which gave us a 3 course meal and a glass of wine for two for only €39.99. Great value! The food here was very nice , the chicken sambal was one of the moves dishes I have ever had and I am a curry junkie. My wife had the chicken Bhuba and loved it too. The service was very good and the staff are very knowledgable when describing the dishes. The atmosphere was not there though because we were the only people eating in which I thought was unusual for a Friday evening. Their early bird menu looks very good too. This place is worth a visit .

Diwali Indian Restaurant
Unit 1, Castle House, South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here with my partner and daughter. The decor is nice and the menu is great. The double up as an Indian and Nepalese restaurant. We had chicken pakora starters and they we not great. They were more like frozen chicken tenders. Not much taste at all. For the main meal I had the Himalayan Curry and it was very nice. My partner had the chicken shashlik and it was great, very tasty and it's also a healthy option. The little one had the chicken bhuna and loved it too. The only criticism I would have was that we were waiting 40 minutes for our main meal and yet the restaurant was not very busy. The staff were very nice though. All in all I would recommend a visit.

The Brock Inn
Ashbourne Road, The Ward, Dublin

I have eaten here too many times to count. The food is just fantastic. The menu is vast and caters for all pallets. If you like your home made cooking then this place is the one.The waitresses are great and will get you and advise you on any dish. They do traditional food like steaks and roasts but also do some asian dishes like their lovely crispy duck salad which is hard to beat. The décor is traditional Irish. You cant go wrong here and the Guinness is great too

Jewel in the Crown (South William Street)
5 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I ate here with my partner over the Christmas and was very happy with the food over all.We arrived at 7:15 so we availed of the earlybird menu.My wife had the soup starter which she said was just okay, I had the onion bhaji and liked it.For the main meals we had chicken bhuna and chicken jhalfrezi. Both were fantastic. We skipped deserts because they looked like frozen deserts on the menu. The service was good for a busy evening. My only gripe would be that the tables are very close together which means everyone can here your conversation but its a small building so they have to maximise the available space. The beer is very expensive at 7.60 for a large Cobra.Way off a fair price. All in all I would go back.

Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here one night while in town and as it was getting late we were limited with options. The food was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The table are a little too close for privacy. The price was quite reasonable and the service was good. The crowd were very young(late teens/very early twenties) so there were a lot of gigglers there but all in all I enjoyed my visit.

The Bell Pub & Restaurant
Navan Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I ate here looking for a nice tasty carvery and i was not disappointed. The food is good and plentiful and the atmosphere is nice(a little loud during the football but its big enough to find a quiet spot with no TV).The staff are very friendly and at €10.90 for a big plate of grub you can't go wrong.Might become a regular here!

Tanjore Palace - Dublin
Unit 5, Block D, Tyrrelstown Plaza, Dublin 15, Tyrrelstown, Dublin

This is a new restaurant and i was looking forward to trying it out.I thought it was a total waste of money.I know it is only starting out but they should have stayed closed until they were properly organised.1st issue: Thaey had no naan bread or any tandoori dishes because they had not install a tandoor oven. 2nd issue:The dish i did order(chicken samber) was very disappointing. It was tastless and unimaginative.I know my indian cusine and this falls well below the average. 3rd issue: The price. Above average €17.95 for my main meal with rice and no complimentry poppadoms. On a positive note: the staff were very polite and friendlyand the place looked very clean.

Wagamama's Blanchardstown
Unit 410, First Floor, Blanchardstown Retail Park 2, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I ate here for the first time and I have to say that I thought the amosphere and decor reminded me of a factory canteen. The staff were very pleasant and efficient. The food on the other hand was terrible.I know it is Japanese but I ordered a noodle with steak dish and I got a bowl of tastless watery soup with noodles at the bottom and a slice of steak in the middle. My other half got a noodle dish too and she thought it was very bland.I thought it was over priced too although they did offer an early bird menu which we didn't avail of.All in all we didn't enjoy the experience

Chilli Banana
112 Upper Drumcondra Road, North Dublin, Drumcondra, Dublin

We ate here for the third time last week and the food is still great. The staff are very nice and not too eager to ask if everything is good. The tables are a bit too close together so you can here everyone's conversations around you. They offer good value for money. It still has a nice atmosphere and the place is tastefully furnished.

TGI Friday (Blanchardstown)
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

Ate here with the kids after shopping all day, I ate here before and wasn't impressed but I thought I'd give it another try.Atmosphere is nice but the food is boring and tasteless. It's not cheap either, for what you get it is very overpriced. Elswhere would have been cheaper and probably tastier.

The Upper Deck duplicate
Harbour Road, Above the Waterside Pub, Howth, Dublin

This has to be the best Mexican restaurant in ireland.I've eaten here at least 10 times and have not been let down.I mostly get the sizzling beef fajitas and they are to die for! They also do home made suces that are really great. They are rated 1 to 10, 10 being the hottest I usually go for a five beacause you can really taste the flavours. They renovated a few years back due to subsidence and I haave to say that the previous decor was more traditional mexican and offered more privacy. Now you can be sitting a little to close to other tables.

Jaipur Restaurant (George's Street)
41 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I have visited here twice and have to say that this place is one of the best indian resaurants i've eaten in.The decor is modern and neat. the food is very good, they offer some traditional dishes but most of the menu comprises of indian food with a twist. The waiters know the menu well so they can offer you some good advice to suit your pallet.

Aurora Asian Cuisine
Unit 5, Block C , Tyrrelstown Town Centre, Dublin 15, Tyrrelstown, Dublin

I have eaten here a couple of times and the food is quite good. The menu is vast so there is something for everyone. The service is great too, the waiter does'nt hound you but checks on you during your meal. The sea bass is very expensive though €36, but everything else is reasonably priced. They have two kitchens, one for the restaurant and one for the takeaway.I have eaten the take away on numerous occasions and it's awful.Thats why Im only giving the food a 2.5 stars. If you eat in the restauarnt you'll be fine. Also the takaway is a bit expensive too.

Delhi Darbar
Unit 5,6,7, Clonee Court, Main Street, Clonee, Dublin

I ordered a takeaway from this restaurant after recieving a flyer in the letter box.I always collect my take away and this was my first and last time to do so from this place. The decor was very dreary and the best way to decribe the place was like a canteen, very dated.Indian food is my favourite so I know what a good meal tastes like.I ordered onion bhaji for starters and they where awful,in fact they could not have been worse.Crispy hairballs is what they should be called.I also got a chicken jalfrezi with pilau rice and naan bread.Th jalfrezi was not up to much either. The sauce was from a jar and it was very bland. The naan bread was good though. All in all if you like fine Indian food steer clear of this place!!!

Unit 35 and 39, Main Street, Ongar village, Dublin 15, Clonee, Dublin

I ate here last Christmas and I have to say that the food is outstanding. There were a few parties but this is normal for te time of year. This place offers an alternative and imaginative menu. There are very few traditional options on the menu. The crab claws are super.it is a bit pricy but you pay for what you get

I get a take Away from here most friday evenings and ate in house a few weeks ago.The place has a cosy atmosphere and the staff are very good. The food is excellent, if I had one critisism....it would be that the menu is a little traditional for me but thats just me.They offer good value for money.
