Visited the Greedy Goose for the first time on Sat night. Restaurant was busy but not packed and glad we had a reservation as our table was near the window with a great view of Malahide. The menu was explained to us as we were first timers and what a menu! Great choices and when the food was brought to the table - MMM! There was 3 of us and we all were able to choose 3 starter sized different dishes and all were delicious. Thought we could manage dessert but enjoyed a cappucino instead. Meal for 3 including bottle of wine, G&T and coffees was €127. Would highly recommend this restaurant and looking forward to our next visit.

Have eaten in the restaurant and ordered take away from Golden Elephant several times in the last couple of years. I would recommend it as one of the best Chinese/Asian restaurants in the area. Staff are always welcoming and the menu is comprehensive. The chef is also happy to take special requests. Would recommend the shredded duck & pancakes and the steamed seabass in soya and ginger. Looking forward to my next visit.

First time to visit Sandbar with some friends for an early dinner. Food good but service could have been better. Might just have been an off night.

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

. Booked a table for 3 at 6pm before going to theatre. Restaurant was busy and we were shown to a table at the back of the room. . Waitress was friendly and guided us through menu choices. Early bird menu excellent value with 3 courses for €20.95. Food was delicious although suppli starter a little dry. Service was a little bit haphazard after the starters with some confusion on one of the main courses but all dealt with very well by the waiting staff. Would recommend Toscana and looking forward to visiting again.

Newland Golf Club Restaurant
Newlands Cross, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

Visited the restaurant in Newlands Golf course on Sun 20th Jul with family ( party of 8 including a toddler).None of us are members but some golf enthusiasts in the mix who have played the course. Some of party were delayed due to traffic problems but waiting staff very accommodating and we ordered for 2 year toddler ( sausage and chips - very generous portion - so we helped) whilst we were waiting. Good set menu choices with 3 course meal + tea/coffee for €22.50. Starters included soup of day( chicken & veg) prawns, vegetarian spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce. Mains included Christmas dinner in July of turkey & ham, salmon with dill sauce, lasagne, pre-made Burger & chips and chicken curry & rice. Desserts were apple pie, honeycomb cheesecake, pavlova, and rice pudding Food was good but some definitely bought in and service attentive but a little slow. It is a golf club so atmosphere created by members and guests. Would revisit

Restaurant Ten Fourteen
324 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

Went to Ten Fourteen for a girlie luncg that was to have taken place before Christmas. We were a party of 8 and were under a bit of time pressure. We were seated to a good table on arrival and given menus and water ( but no jug was left on table although requested) This was a small niggle but meant that every time we wanted a refill we had to ask as lunch sitting was busy and there was only 2 staff waiting on tables. The specials board was on an easel and placed at the end of our table. The lunch menu had some good choices. 2 of the party decided on the chicken sandwich; 2 chose the fish of the day ( sea bream) and 4 opted for the fish and chips option. The bill including coffees for 4, soft drinks and a glass of wine came to €145. The girls were happy and looking forward to a return visit.

Cafe Fresh
Top Floor Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, City Centre South, Dublin

Was introduced to Cafe Fresh by a school pal and am pleased to recommend this hidden gem. Lots of choice on menu whether you want a soup and sandwich or a more substantial meal. Menu board is a bit busy but one of the very nice servers explained it to me as a first time diner. Food was excellent. Would recommend the aubergine and potato curry. Looking forward to a return visit.

The Bistro at Ella
7 Main Street, Howth, Howth, Dublin

Visited Ella in Howth with a girlfriend on a Tues night in Jan for the early bird special. When we arrived restaurant was empty - about 5.35pm but friendly waitress ensured we were welcome. We both chose the fish special of the day ( panfried salmon with mash and mangetout) and when it arrived it was delicious.I normally have to add some pepper to dishes but the fish was seasoned to perfection. The restaurant had started to fill at this time and atmosphere was surprisingly good for a Tuesday evening. The waitress seemed to be on her own and managed the tables quite well but at times we did have to seek her out for drinks. Both of us decided to treat ourselves to a dessert and the apple & blackcurrant crumble and chocolate brownie are highly recommended. I couldn't finish the crumble the portion was so big. Would highly recommend an evening out in Ella
