Have been here a couple of times, always good atmosphere and is generally buzzing. Food always good quality, but I feel (for my tastes anyway), the menu is quite limited if you are not into burgers or red meat. In saying that. Service always excellent. Prices are not too bad, although agree with a previous post that a glass of wine is quite expensive.

An Poitin Stil
Naas Road, Rathcoole, Dublin

I have to admit, I used to avoid the Poitin Stil like the plague, previously found it extremely greasy and heavy (restaurant not carvery), so was pleasantly surprised when we revisited recently. Originally we were aiming for the carvery, but it was packed with people everywhere (I think it was a match day), so opted for the restaurant. Had garlic mushrooms - pretty standard fare, husband had the veg soup which was lovely, he had steak for mains (seemed happy enough) and I had the pork stir fry, which did not exactly match its description on the menu, but was really lovely, plenty of meat and extremely fresh and crunchy vegetables. Service very good. We will be returning

Springfield Hotel Season's Restaurant
Leixlip Road, Leixlip, Kildare

Atmosphere very much varies here, depending on when you visit. Food very consistent. Carvery particularly nice. Prices differ on different days - Sunday more expensive, only by a euro or two, but annoying none the less - other than that good value.

Stone Haven Restaurant
Mill Street, Maynooth, Maynooth, Kildare

Another favourite, have been here on many occassions and each time the food has been lovely. A little unusual and a bit more expensive, but we always leave feeling full and content. Agree with a previous reviewer re toilets, but other than that its a great little spot.

Miss Wong - Old
Ralph Square, Leixlip, Kildare

This has to be one of my favourite restaurants. Food is always excellent and service attentive. Can recommend the shredded smoked chicken for starter (if you like garlic that is) - would get up in the middle of the night for this - does not travel well (if gotten as a take away) so recommend going in and sitting down and enjoying yourself

Anvil Bistro Restaurant
Saggart Village, Dublin 22, Saggart, Dublin

Ate here on a Tuesday evening, food was fab, atmosphere was also good. We went for the set menu, I got soup and steak and my friend got the tom+moz salad and pan fried chicken, both gorgeous. Other than a slightly rude waiter, we couldn't fault the place. Booking recommended, as it was fairly full for so early in the week.
